Standard Mode - This will allow you to hear the sound of a TV program clearly.
Cinema - This mode is suitable for watching movies. You feel immersed by the sound that travels behind you and surrounds your entire body
Music - Vividness, and glossiness of the sound are expressed in detail. This mode is suitable for enjoying music in a way that moves you
You can also use AUTO SOUND mode which will change the Sound Mode from Standard, Cinema, and Music based on the content played.

To ensure you're getting the optimal sound quality, please also ensure that the night mode is set to off. In addition, you may also select from one of the sound modes to easily enjoy pre-programmed sound effects that are tailored to different kinds of sound sources. There's also a dedicated 'Music' EQ preset that can help enhance your audio experience. If the sound from the subwoofer is too low or insufficient, follow the steps below.

Crappy crappy system

Paid almost $600 for a mid range sound system and this one was just lackluster at best. I’m an old-school guy and decided to go with my old style set up and bought the Yamaha receiver and I’m on my way wired tower speakers, and a 12 inch sub.

The overall volume may vary depending on the source content. Make sure to try multiple sources. Check if night mode is disabled. Night mode function outputs the sound at low volume with minimum loss of fidelity and clarity of dialogue. Press the NIGHT button on the supplied remote to set the function on or off.

Impressive Simulated Surround but Not Worth the $$
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this soundbar to use with the Sony X950H TV I recently purchased and as much as I wanted to like this soundbar, I was not impressed. The build quality of this sounbar is excellent with metal speaker grills on both the soundbar itself as well as the subwoofer. As for the remote, it is built well and offers a lot of buttons to customize the sound settings. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of customization that is available on this soundbar. Unfortunately, I ended up returning this soundbar because while the simulated surround sounded pretty good, I found myself constantly adjusting the volume because the dialog was substantially muted compared to all the other sounds. No matter what setting I chose I would have to turn the volume up to hear the voices but then turn it down during the action scenes. Secondly the bass was somewhat lacking even at it's highest setting and left a lot to be desired. It's worth noting I did upgrade the sounder's firmware using the USB port in effort to improve the sound output with no avail. For the price I expected much more out of this soundbar. In the end, I ended up returning this sounbar for LG's SN8YG.

The G700 has a variety of sound modes to help enhance your viewing experience. We recommend using the Cinema mode for your TV content. If your subwoofer isn’t adjacent to a wall in the corner, we recommend placing the subwoofer there to improve your bass performance. Please keep in mind that if the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. Salesman explained the lack of speakers in the TV and said the sound bar would correct the situation. Although sound is good, I notice only a slight difference.

For this setting the Voice function to On will make dialogues easily heard by enhancing dialogue range on the HTG700 Soundbar. This can be enabled or disabled by pressing the Voice button on the Sony Remote.
