Not up to Sony standards- stay away!

The sound bar was incredibly lacking and I expected much more for the price, the $250 2017 Vizio sound bar that this was supposed to replace absolutely walloped the Sony HT-G700 in sound quality and power. The Immersion feature was useless- couldn't tell the difference- I tried all the different settings and features and ultimately it's just a product that doesn't meet it's price point. Returned to the store next day and going with the Vizio SB36512-F6- which is what I should've done in the first place but I wanted to pair my Sony X900H (which is awesome) with a Sony branded sound bar. I'm a fan of Sony products but this sound bar wouldn't even be worth $250. You can do better for much less $. Honestly, I feel a little betrayed by the Tech Radars of the world that gave this sound bar such a favorable review.

To enjoy the Immersive Audio Enhancement feature, it is recommended to have the [AUDIO] - [EFFECT] setting is set to [SOUND MODE ON]. Also, the surround effect from all directions differs depending on the sound source. Thank you for your feedback and we hope you consider Sony again in your future purchases.

My biggest complaint is that the subwoofer cuts out from time to time. Tried everything but it something that just happens. When it doesn’t happen it’s 5 stars for sure

Repair of many products after a lightning strike

The local Geek Squad agents have gone above and beyond to ensure everything was fixed or replaced. My rating will be on the My local Best Buy and the associated Geek Squad agent, not the 1-800 tech support. Multiple Agents were involved to replace products and update my system. They were all kind, taught me the new technology and were available after their visits for questions.
