We are sorry to hear that. The subwoofer is designed for playback of bass sound. When the input source does not contain much of bass sound, as is the case with most TV programs, the bass sound may not be audible. Try to play a different source to isolate the issue.

It sounded good while they were here, but I find that the sound hurts my ears and when I turn the loudness down, it is then too quiet for me to hear the words with or without the hearing aids--and I don’t know how to adjust the sound. Wish I was allowed one followup call to the Geek Squad.

Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your HTG700. We're glad you appreciate the this great soundbar. We're sorry for the inconvenience. To make the dialogs clearer, Press VOICE to set the function on
or off then check the front panel display.
[Vo.ON] - Dialog is easily heard by enhancing dialog range.
[Vo.OFF] - Deactivates the voice mode function.
You can also adjust the dialog levels during playback of the DTS:X stream. This function enables you to increase the dialog levels in contrast with the background sound and hear dialog easily even under noisy circumstances.
1. Press the MENU.
The options menu appears.
2. Select [AUDIO] (Audio settings).
3. Select [DIALOG] (DTS Dialog Control)
4. Press the up/down arrows to adjust the dialog level.
You can adjust from 0 dB to 6 dB in 1 dB increments. The default setting is [0dB].
Note:
This function may not work depending on the audio signals.

Sound Completely Went Out One Day After Best Buy R

I have turned to tv on/off, etc, and performed a few of the steps suggested to 'fix" the problem, but nothing has worked. There is no way this should happen at this price point and after only two weeks. I would not recommend this soundbar to anyone.

Resetting the soundbar may help resolve the issue:
-Press MENU - [RESET] - [ALL RESET] - [START]
*If you cannot perform resetting using the setting menu, press and hold (power) and – (volume) on the bar speaker for more than 5 seconds.

Keep dropping sound

It look nice but keeps drop sound every few hours or so. It wound go silent for about 1 min, then sound back to normal.

Posted .Hi SteveNguyen, Thank you for the 4-star rating! For the sound issue, If there is a device nearby that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN or a microwave oven in use, locate the system apart from it.
If there is an obstacle between the bar speaker and the subwoofer, move or remove it.
Do not cover the top of the bar speaker with metal objects such as TV frame, etc. Wireless functions may become unstable.
Locate the bar speaker and the subwoofer as close as possible.
Switch the wireless LAN frequency of any nearby wireless LAN router or PC to 5 GHz range.
Switch the network connection of the TV or Blu-ray Disc player from wireless to wired.
