      Hi there, We are sorry to hear that the HTG700 did not meet all of your expectations when it comes to the dialogue, setting the Voice function to On will make dialogues easily heard by enhancing dialogue range on the HTG700 Soundbar. This can be enabled or disabled by pressing the Voice button on the Sony Remote.

    So while the sound is good and love the woofer there is an underlying issue with sound cutting out for 15 secs multiple times

      Hi Juan, Thank you for choosing Sony. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing audio cut off issues with your HT-G700 Soundbar. We'd love to troubleshoot the issue that you are having and make this a better experience for you. In the meantime, please follow these steps to troubleshoot.

      Unplug the Soundbar power cord and plug it back in
      1. Turn off the soundbar.
      2. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet.
      3. After one minute, replug the power cable back to the wall outlet.
      4. Turn on the soundbar.

      Verify if this resolves the issue.
      - Disconnect the HDMI cable or the optical digital cable and then reconnect it
      - Disconnect the cable from the soundbar and playback device and then reconnect the cable.
      If the issue is resolved, the issue may have been caused by a faulty connection with the cable.

      - If there is a device nearby that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN or a microwave oven in use, locate the system apart from it.
      - If there is an obstacle between the bar speaker and the subwoofer, move or remove it.
      - Do not cover the top of the bar speaker with metal objects such as TV frame, etc. Wireless functions may become unstable.
      - Locate the bar speaker and the subwoofer as close as possible

    Great started sound system

    Only issue is for some reason it randomly changes the input mode and the audio cuts out for 20 seconds, then goes back to normal. Otherwise it’s a great buy for the money.

    The bar sounds good at high volumes and for some movies. In night mode or at low volume the dialog gets lost in the other sounds.

    Excellent product but the speaker bass could be better. Not enough subwoofer power. As usual Sony product ease of use is present here also.

If your subwoofer isn’t adjacent to a wall in the corner, we recommend placing the subwoofer there to improve your bass performance. Please keep in mind that if the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear.

    It does the job, but doesn’t blow anyone away. This replaced a much less expensive Vizio soundbar and I honestly don’t hear the two hundred dollar difference.

    For reference, I was “upgrading” (or so I thought) from a LG SJ7, which is a “split” sound bar. I recently got a 65” Sony X950G and decided it was time to go ahead and upgrade the sound bar, ideally for Atmos. After waiting for the price to drop I installed it tonight and no matter the setting, the HDMI cable, even going through optical, it sounded like a tin can. The only thing that was a noticeable improvement was the clearer voices thanks to the extra channel... Honestly, it sounds like crap for a $600 sound bar. Very disappointed considering the reviews surrounding this unit were so good. Will attempt to get another unit...

      Hi Sean, We regret to hear you're having audio quality issues with your soundbar. Please try to adjust the sound settings to see if it will improve your listening experience. Aside from the various sound modes and subwoofer gain adjustments, please ensure the G700 is mounted closer to your ear level to allow the detail of your content to be heard. If the soundbar cannot be mounted to your ear level, try seeing if you can angle the soundbar to fire upwards towards your ears. You may find that you will hear more detail. If your G700 is on an entertainment stand, placing the soundbar closer to the edge of the surface that it is mounted on will also allow you to have a better experience as well.     Sounds really awesome. Have a little problem when watching some programs. Backround noise sometimes overbearring, difficult to hear dialog(conversation)

    Don't spend the extra money on this one

    Technology is too far ahead of the broadcasting stations. 90% of them do not broadcast is dolby atmos, so it looks like I just bought an expensive sound bar with too many features. Also, remote does not work on the bar at all. You can not operate it from it's remote to adjust anything at all. You can only increase and decrease the sound level from the tv remote. All other functions useless.

      The overall volume may vary depending on the source content. Make sure to try multiple sources. Check if night mode is disabled. Night mode function outputs the sound at low volume with minimum loss of fidelity and clarity of dialogue. Press the NIGHT button on the supplied remote to set the function on or off.

    I looked at reviews and figured it would be a solid upgrade from my Bose 300, I definitely was surprised with the size of the included subwoofer. This was a good pick up to pair with my new Sony X900H. Definitely a great setup for the PlayStation 5.

    Would not buy again but would buy another manufacturer. It drops the sound whenever there is a program change, after a commercial, or when another program comes on. It is searching for the proper type of sound such dobie, or other sound types. Very much a pain when you miss the first part of a program when it switches from commercial to broadcast. Would not buy again.
