The loudness as well as the sound quality of this soundbar will depend on the source that you're playing and audio device that you are using. We are not sure what brand/model of TV you had our HT-G700 connected to, however, you may try adjusting various settings related to the sound settings of the TV and soundbar to isolate the problem. Unimpressed with Something at this Price

The setup is very simple, however, I was unimpressed with the sound. The soundbar sounded tinny and the subwoofer is weak, even at the highest setting. I packed it back up and returned it. I had high hopes, especially since it costs almost as much as I paid for my older system 15 years ago, but now I'll have to some more checking around for other options.

Standard Mode - This will allow you to hear the sound of a TV program clearly.
Cinema - This mode is suitable for watching movies. You feel immersed by the sound that travels behind you and surrounds your entire body
Music - Vividness and glossiness of the sound are expressed in detail. This mode is suitable for enjoying music in a way that moves you
For the subwoofer, please keep in mind that if the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear.

Disappointed

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.|I’m only giving this two stars because the voice shuts off on my TV every now and then when I’m watching channel 5 The voice is out of sync with the people talking I turn the sound bar off and it’s OK the geek squad came out and gave me a new sound bar but it still does the same thing there’s something wrong with the sound bars I don’t know what it is I would not recommend this product to anybody I’ve called the geek squad person that came out and tried to help me but I get no answer back kind of disappointed in their service sorry

Posted .Hi Charlie, We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing audio sync issues with your HT-G700 Soundbar connected to your TV. We'd love to troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you. In the meantime, please follow these steps when the sound does not match the pictures on the TV screen, you can adjust the delay between the picture and sound. You can adjust from 0 msec to 120 msec in 40 msec increments. The default setting is [0ms].
You can change this setting by using the Sony Soundbar Remote.
Press MENU to enter the setting menu mode. Use the up or down arrow to navigate to [Audio] (Audio Settings) > [Sync] A/V Sync.
Note: This function is available only when the HDMI input is selected.
Also, a time gap between the sound and picture may occur depending on the sound source. If your TV has a function that delays the image, use it for adjustment.
