First, please make sure that the soundbar is up to date with the firmware (version 1.055) as this will improve the overall performance of the soundbar. To pair the subwoofer with your HTG700 soundbar, please follow these steps.
Please follow these steps to link your soundbar to the subwoofer.
1 Press MENU. [SPEAKER] appears in the front
panel display.
2 Press up or down button to select [SPEAKER], then press ENTER.
3 Press [LINK], then press ENTER.
4 Select [START], then press ENTER. [LINK] flashes in the front panel display.
To cancel the manual connection, press BACK.
5 Press LINK on the subwoofer. The manual link starts. The power indicator of the
subwoofer flashes in amber.
6 When [DONE] appears in the front panel display, press MENU. The link is established and the power indicator of the subwoofer lights in amber.

Also, try to select different Sound Mode options which are pre-programmed sound effects that are tailored to different kinds of sound sources.
Standard Mode - This will allow you to hear the sound of a TV program clearly.
Cinema - This mode is suitable for watching movies. You feel immersed by the sound that travels behind you and surrounds your entire body
Music - Vividness, and glossiness of the sound are expressed in detail. This mode is suitable for enjoying music in a way that moves you
You can also use AUTO SOUND mode which will change the Sound Mode from Standard, Cinema, and Music based on the content played.

If you need more than 2 HDMI ports you'll need to buy a 3rd party HDMI splitter. Overall it's just a joy to listen to and rather amazing given it's small size. The wireless subwoofer is a great bonus as well only needing power.

Its a good quality soundbar but not the best

I am giving it a 4/5 because the sound quality is still pretty solid. The only real gripe I have with the soundbar is because it doesn't get loud on low volumes like other atmos soundbars. I had to crank the volume to like 35 for it to be a decent volume. At 45 the Atmos was decent. For an affordable Atmos soundbar its not bad. It is missing upward firing speakers but again its not a top of the line soundbar. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade their tv system affordably.

Quality soundbar with 4K support

Unpacking and installing was easy. I connected it to my 55 inch TV via the HDMI port. There is only 1 HDMI in and 1 HDMI out. So if you have multiple devices, you might need a HDMI splitter or a hub. The design of the soundbar is pretty standard, a compact rectangular bar and a wireless subwoofer. This soundbar has left, right, and center speakers that upscales the audio close to a 7.1.2 channel sound system. I was able to control the volume of the soundbar using my TV remote. This depends on the compatibility of the TV to support HDMI ARC connection. It has various sound modes like movie, music, voice, night mode, etc. that comes in handy depending on what you are watching/listening to. I was also able to connect my phone to stream music wirelessly. If you don't like the LED display on the soundbar, you can turn it off. With HDR10 and Dolby format support, 4K movies never sounded better with the 4K TV. Overall, this is an impressive soundbar from Sony and I would recommend it to anyone looking to add a good sound system.

Sound is better than the TV speakers. Satisfied. We did have 1 issue with Bluetooth, as it kept disconnecting after a minute or so, needed to be repaired. Still happy with it.

This is usually not the case for our soundbars nor the experience we want you to have. For Bluetooth connection issue with your TV, please make sure the system is not receiving interference from a wireless LAN device, other 2.4 GHz wireless devices, or a microwave oven. If a device that generates electromagnetic radiation is nearby, move the device away from the system. And remove any obstacle between the system and the BLUETOOTH device or move the system away from the obstacle.

This unit replaces a Denon DHT-S514 sound bar which finally died, despite remote support from Denon. At $399, the Sony 3.1 sound bar and bass speaker is a really good buy; at $599, it's overpriced. The dedicated center channel really helps hearing dialog oriented TV shows and movies. Also, a shout out to Matt, who supported the purchase pre and post sale at the Williston, VT store.
