Great optical master flash for off-camera slave

I purchased the F20M again as a master for a new off-camera slave flash. The optical master is less expensive than the radio master and can serve as a small backup when needed.

Better to save up for a higher priced flash

It’s ok for the size

If you want full control of a flash that has menu settings... this not the flash for you. The price is terrible too. I bought Godox flashes that were half the price and were so much better and packed with features.

I use it as an off camera flash with an off camera cable. It definately improves photograph outcomes. Unfortunately Sony doesn't make an off camera cable so I to purchase that item elsewhere.

I've used generic types from amazon, and they were either bulky or didn't do what I needed. The only downfall is the changing the batteries frequently. I wish there was an option to recharge or use the power off the camera. Still a little pricey.

Sometimes venues and/or weather is not conducive to that, so I bought this flash to give me an assist in those circumstances. This thing is fast and powerful! I’m very pleased!

The flip up/power on feature is convenient. The bounce and tele features make it more flexible. It can also wirelessly trigger an off camera flash.
