The PS Portal is a good device as an add on for the PS5, it is convenient if u want to play while laying down, or ur tv is occupied. There’s only 1 thing I don’t like is there’s a bit of a lag

The PS Portal is a game changer. It's not only a great way to play your PS5 games while someone else is watching TV, it's also great to stream away from home (as long as you have a strong wifi signal). The design looked a bit odd to me at first, cutting a DualSense controller in half and putting a screen in between, but it offers great comfort for long handheld gaming sessions. The battery life is also very strong.

I absolutely love this device. Sony hit it out of the park with the design. However, it was a rocky implementation at first. There was crazy lag and jittery jits you had to deal with occasionally. However, this has all changed after the 4.0 OS update. Not only has the delay been resolved (no more jittery jits) but now you dont even have to connect to your PS5/PS4. The portal can now stream cloud games. Sony is beta testing now and its awesome! Highly recommended buying.

I got this for my fiancé for Father’s Day and he absolutely loves it!! He tells it’s the best gift I ever got him. I’ve also played on it as well and the graphics are amazing

The PS Portal is a unique device. Its only remote streaming, so internet connection plays a big factor in how well the device works. I can understand that this is not for everyone, but there is something here to build on. I highly recommend hardwiring a ethernet cable from your router to the PS5, so that connection is stable. I havent had any issues with lag or disconnection while playing the portal. I have played a few games (GoW Ragnarok, Destroy All Humans 2, Spider-Man 2, The Order 1886, Spongebob Cosmic Shake, Robocop Rogue City and WWE 2k23) on the Portal and each have played better than expected. If you are on the fence about getting the device, just make sure your PS5 is hardwired to the router and you should be good to go.

Great product when it’s working! I had an initial issue with lagging and WiFi which seems to be sorted out through the most recent updates. Randomly now my right joystick isn’t working which also seems to be a known ongoing issue via Reddit. When it’s working though I’ve had lots of fun. As a dad of two young kids I just don’t have the time to turn on my console anymore. This has been nice because they can watch TV and I can casually game. Hopefully we can get this resolved through Sony.

It works great for what it is, if you want to play your PS5 while someone is using the tv or you want to play while in bed this thing is great. Mine works great with my mesh network. After trying this away from home i can tell you this thing is solid. I played connected to spectrum internet and my PS5 connected to ATT Fiber and I did not notice any lag whatsover. Keep in mind if your wifi hardware is crap then you may get a lot of stutter that some reviewers mention. I did not try this with multiplayer games just single player games and it works great. I wish it had bluetooth though but for the price i think its a great accessory.
