Good product, could/should be better. No volume and can’t connect to my AirPods. Has to run on WiFi. Too reliable on my PS5. Love the screen, fun to play on but don’t think I’ll be keeping it.

Beautiful screen. Uses bluetooth and wifi to set up. Router for Wi-Fi needs to be close by for best connection. If you have the premium plus. You can stream games to the controller with out using the actual PS5. This uses the old PS Now services for this. Its light weight and is gorgeous. Buttons are quite responsive.

I bought this device because I work remotely for the equivalent to half the year, and didn’t want to lug my ps5 around with me. Gotta say I am happy with the product, I don’t get all the bad vlogs I’ve seen about it. If I had to say one thing that bothers me is that the product is not Bluetooth equipped, but a 25 dollar Bluetooth device fixed that for me.

I've owned the portal for about a month now. I haven't turned on the TV my PS5 is connected to since then. Yes its that good and immersive. I played the whole game of ghosts of tsushima, now cyberpunk and some overwatch. Everything feels native as if there was a cartridge system like the switch. And the screen is the absolute perfect size and its absolutely beautiful! I've not have any network issues like I do with ps remote play on third party devices. As a father this has been such a joy yo have and I can play games in yhte same room where family likes to spend time at. totally worth it and a fine extension to the ps5

I almost rhought about returning this the first day cause lag was so bad and i thought with my wifi6 i was good. Once i swapped my ps5 over to ethernet from wifi the portal was a lot better. As a casual gamer dad i played my ps5 less often than i do now, maybe 2-4 hours a week. Just finding time to get the main tv to myself was always an issue. With the portal i find it a lot easier to just sneak in a game even if the tv is occupied by the kids. I get to still be present but can play my favorite games. I would totally recommend this for casual gamer parents with a few extra bucks to burn.

Everything works wonderfully when streaming, slight latency depending on internet speed, Cloud gaming beta makes this a must have for those with a PS Plus subscription

Portable is awesome to use when traveling. The streaming takes it to another level. Being able to access more titles, makes those business trips so much easier to lounge. I'm beginning to see myself using this at home more often. It is evolving with more add ons makes this a great buy.

So I was super skeptical about this product because I use remote play already with my phone or laptop. These past weeks before it was delivered I have been testing remote play extensively in my home and it does alright bit this seems to run much better for some reason. It is so nice to have dedicated device for this and the screen is beautiful and a perfect size. I have been putting in some good gaming sessions with it while hangong with tbe kid and wife and It runs so well that sometimes i forget i am on remote play. And i dont have the best internet. I have the tier right below the 1 gig plan. So i would recommend this to any dad gamer out there.

PS Portal is great at what its supposed to do. First, you need to connect your PS5 to ethernet so you have a stable internet connection. If you don't have ethernet cable, you can get them for cheap. Once its connected, it works great. I usually like to lay in bed at night and play for a little bit on PS Portal. It works great for me, because I don't want to turn on the TV in living room and play that late. Its very comfortable and screen looks really nice. Im fine with plugging in the earphones. I don't need bluetooth. All in all, its a great product. Im sure Sony will make second generation even better.

Overall, I think the portal gives a pretty good experience. It's great for people who want to game while the TV is occupied with something else, and want the full experience you get while playing directly on your PS5. The biggest surprise for me was that there's almost no lag. Even side by side with your TV, the difference is hardly noticeable. One of the biggest reasons I purchased was the ability to remote play on other wifi networks, and it definitely exceeded my expectations there. Again, there was almost no lag. Even playing 2k, where you have to time your shot well, I wasn't disrupted by lag at all despite my PS5 being over 100 miles away.
