I was skeptical on the need for this since I’ve never used remote play. But with a little man who likes to play spiderman at all times I’m now able to have him use the portal while freeing up the living room tv. I hate that it lacks Bluetooth but overall I’ve had zero issues with connecting and using. I’ve even tried it on the WiFi where I worked and it played flawlessly. This wasn’t needed but I’m glad I got it.

This is great for traveling even outside home. BE CAREFUL this breaks super easily. I've purchased two within a years time.

Love it so far, just wish it had native Bluetooth capability.

It works great! Just connect to WiFi and I’m able to play the games in console back at home, this is great for kids on the go!

I was reluctant to get this because i couldn't answer the question "what is it for?" Not in the sense of it's function, but it's usage... It's a remote player for a console already in your house, why would I need that? I've seen a few usage cases that i would say justify the purchase, and once you have it in your hands you kind of start to see how useful it could be. That side, the hardware is really nice, good build quality, the screen is quite good and pleasantly sized. I, once the thing actually worked, have me a new imperceptible lag on input. The only gripe I really have, as alluded to previously, it getting it to work. With my PS5 and the Portal on the same 5Ghz wifi, in the same room as the router, I got disconnects, poor video quality, and horrible lag. Once I put the PS5 on a network cable the Portal started working perfectly! It's a really niche product, but under the right circumstances and with the right usage case, I'd recommend it.

Very nice device. Works amazingly at home with crystal clear graphics. When away from home, graphics drop significantly but I haven’t had any issues with lag.

Love my portal! The cloud gaming update is great! It’s given me the ability to play my favorite games in bed which has allowed me the opportunity to finally get to complete some games I otherwise couldn’t get around to completing. Screen quality is good, the remote feels just like the dual sense although the sticks might be marginally smaller. The stream quality is great, I have decent internet so I don’t have really any issues apart from the occasional quick lag spike which is maybe once every 2 hours. Wish we had the ability to hook up any Bluetooth headset ,but you can get a Bluetooth 3.5mm headset dongle and that solves that issue, if they update that I’ll change my review to 5 stars but for now I have to give it a 4 star.

Would love them to put a disc reader in here to play games offline not on wifi. The controller feels great but update made this worth it.

PS portal condition was great overall also its a nice gaming system for when your away from your ps5!!

Easy to set up and use. Great as an at home alternative to the tv. Its the most comfortable handheld ive ever used . As long as you have a stable connection(15-25 mbps minimum) it should work well in and out of your home. The cloud service works better than the remote play.

My son loves this product, he plays with it everyday.

neat device if you have great wifi and hardwire connection to your ps5. Battery life is good too.

The portal is great for my needs. I'm able to play without disrupting any tv time for anyone else. & the use of your PS SUBSCRIPTION is also available.

It is a fun concept. It was hard to set up and go back and forth from this remote to the regular PS5 controller
