After reading reviews and checking out videos, i was lucky to get this before it sold out. It has helped me put in 30 hours of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. I am a full time worker with a wife and kid who has a disability. I dont have to feel guilty about taking the only tv when the wife or kid wants to watch something. It is easy to set up and get working. Its very seamless when using it and the performance is great. My internet is 30 mbps and i have not had an issue with using it at home. Can be charged with the same cable for the PS5 remotes and have been able to play it for a little over and hour before i put it down to do other things. Its very comfortable just like the PS5 remotes. It also feels light but not too heavy. The volume is really loud for this particular unit. It has been a purchase i dont regret getting.

Excellent mobile device for playing your games when you are not home, make sure that your data plan is compatible with the system first or you will have to go a different route in order to connect to internet. The design is great since it gives you all the functions of holding a dualsense as well. Streaming games without a ps5 is great, but it’s expensive when you have to have the premium subscription to use it. Other then that, if you library is vast, you will enjoy everything remotely

Love mine! If you're having latency or a connection issue just look up how to put all your devices on 2.4 Ghz and your Portal on 5Ghz via your router settings (your PS5 should be using ethernet). Something so great about putting down the controller in the living room, and then picking up the Portal in the bedroom and the game didn't skip a beat.

I bought this because I would like to be out of my bed when I am playing games.
Pros:
- very good for adventure, JRPG, casual games.
-beautiful screen. LCD screen but good quality. I don't notice backlight bleed.
cons:
- not for fast paced games where reaction time is very important.
- not recommended for FPS games, latency is okay, but you will feel it.
-also, I don't recommend this to horror game fans. it is an LCD panel, so you'll notice greyish instead of deep black on dark scenes.
** you need a ps5 to play on this**
**this accessory is for casual gamers**
if you have extra money - buy this if you like single payer games and don't wanna be tied on your tv.
or
buy the ps5 edge controller if you're always playing FPS or any fast-paced games that rely on reaction time.

Its a great console. I would jot label it completly as portable, since there are some requirements tou may need to play. You may need to do some adjustments to your router, nothing complicated. I got the portal on discuount. Even I love it, I dont belive its worth $200

I was initially cautious because of public reception and the fact that it was a only a remote player. However, its value is actually quite high, for what it is. My PS5 was in Florida while we were visiting family in Alaska and the Portal worked perfectly. I was able to play Helldivers 2 from across the country with little to no latency and that blew my mind. I'm glad they added streaming without a console, but I have no desire to pay for PS Plus Premium
