Bought this as a gift and he loved it. Great for playing on PS5 in a different room. You do need good WiFi connection or else the graphics on the screen get a little fuzzy

It great when the connection actually works. I have mixed feelings. When its working I can spend hours playing happily but when the connection is an issue despite the internet being high speed, the PS5 being connected wired, the hdmi cable unplugged and me less than a couple feet of the PS5 thats...pretty infuriating. Overall I love it but they need to work on the connectivity on this device. Hopefully, if there is a 2nd one, they have fixed that issue.

I really like using the Portal. It’s great to use when I want to play, but can’t use the TV. The only negative is, when I’m in a hotel room, I can’t always connect to wifi, since most hotel WiFis require an acknowledgement using an internet browser. The Portal doesn’t have a browser built into it. This wasn’t a dealbreaker for me though.

Great while you’re on the go. I use my mobile hotspot on my phone with very little lag.

Great way to play around the house! Has great range and good batter life.

Pros - Hardware quality is excellent - Haptics is excellent, especially when playing games like NFS Unbound that take advantage of the haptic feedback technology Cons - Display is poor when compared to QLED or OLED gaming experience. Games like STEEP, which has a lot of 'whites' cannot be properly viewed on LCD screen, due to poor contrast. (Maybe changing the in game settings may work, but that would mess my display settings on PS5) - Battery life was poor, not sure if i got a device that was more susceptible to battery drain - Need to buy another sony wireless headset if you want to listen to audio (other options are in built speaker or cabled headphones) The hardware is great (except display). I wish they had better display, battery and ability to connect any BT headphones)

I love it, it's exactly what I needed! It’s a very niche product, but it delivers on its promise. It’s not for everyone, and while the price is a bit high, the value it offers makes it worth it.
