It is laggy if you have a bad wifi signal make sure your PS5 is plugged in with a lan cable and change your settings to 1080p on the PS5 for remote play. It needs an update so you can watch movies saved on your PS5 plus it would be nice if you could use you own wireless headsets instead of the PlayStation ones.

My spurge for the month. I’ve had my head down in textbooks the past few semester. I was finally able to come up for air and decided to reward myself. Perfect for ps5 on the go

You don't need a PlayStation 5 to use this portable station. You can purchase the PS premium yearly pass and stream games via Wi-Fi. Zero lag, and it runs smoothly.

It’s very nice and sleek, obviously the feel is different from the actual ps5 controller but overall he liked it. Very convenient because you don’t necessarily have to be in the same room as the console itself.

A good to way entertain your kids or self while on a long road trip or simply want to lay down and chill instead of sitting up playing.

The Portal is a great little device, even at home. Since mine arrived in early February, I’ve completed two long games because I can pick it up & play at any time. If I want to keep an eye on sports on the TV, I can still complete sidequests in big non-linear games. I can lay on the couch or in bed and play. If I go out of town for work, I can connect to hotel wifi and keep playing. Now there are caveats, of course. There is an expected and understandable lag which means it’s not ideal for something like, say, online fighting games. If your wifi signal is weak or goes out, you’ll also experience stuttering or a disconnect, though thankfully you won’t necessarily lose game progress unless your PS5 loses power as well. For me, I’ve found it invaluable in completing games like Yakuza that have loads of content, since I can play a little bit here and there without needing to be tethered to my big TV and AV setup. It’s never going to replace such a thing as the preferable way to play, but it makes a great companion. It’s even fairly comfortable to hold for long periods, since it’s just a screen wedged between a DualSense controller. The additional weight is noticeable, but I’ve spent 5-6 hours playing at a time and never felt any serious discomfort a little 5 minute break couldn’t fix.

This thing has been fantastic. At first, I didn't think I would be using it often. like, if I want to play the PS, i'll just play on the TV, but the experience has been magical. Now instead of playing on my couch until way too late in the night, now I play on my bed until way too late. Can't talk to the experience about playing it outside my house though. Lastly, I love the feel of the controller, like I'm actually holding a PS controller, when comparing my experience to the Asus ROG Ally, in which the controller just felt awkward.

Excellent product, you just have to make sure you have a good Wi-Fi signal, otherwise you lose connection all the time.

I preordered (switched to shipping after in store pickup debacle) and have loved it since day 1. This product has a target audience in mind and I fit that bill. My console is in the family room and not always accessible to me. The Portal allows me to jump in to any game while my kids or wife are using the main tv. That’s it. That’s what this does. I can play when I want to play. The screen is crisp and looks great for an LCD screen. Single player games run extremely well with practically no input lag. If you play competitive FPS, there is a slight delay that may not yield the best experience. Initial setup was a breeze though I did get some connection issues when connecting to 2.4ghz. A little tinkering with my network settings and those issues were gone. Note, if you have multiple connected devices, it’s highly recommended to set up QoS or move low priority devices off the 5ghz band. I have used it outside of my house and it works just as well as if I were home. I have had multiple people connect to their consoles on my Portal and it’s just like signing in to the app and they were off to the races.

Great way to kill time. Hate that you cannot download games straight to the device. All games are streamed via wifi.
