Very nice and small ear buds. Extremely comfortable and surprisingly good sound. The only knock is the non duo compatibility— wish I were able to pair these things to multiple devices. Aside from that, good overall.

This will be the easiest review I write all year. Sony headphones are awesome. These Sony headphones are awesome. If you want wireless earbuds with great sound and noise cancelling then I can think of no reason not to get these if they suit your budget. They are super comfortable, they are water resistant, they are easy to pair and set up, and they have great battery life. Plus, they look cool. I have other Sony headphones, including my favorites the 1000M4. Those things rule. They're my go to for listening in the house, especially when watching shows or videos. Most comfortable pair of over-the-ear headphones I've ever used and they just keep going strong with no issues whatsoever over the life that I've had them. That said, they're big and take up more space in a bag than I want for a quick day trip or in certain use cases. Enter the LinkBuds S. It's like they made them for my specific needs. I looked at other non-Sony earbuds and almost pulled the trigger on a pair, until I read a review that said the noise-cancelling wasn't great. At the end of the day, I just didn't really want to pay for a step down in that area. I'm so glad I waited. Here's my test for noise cancelling: I wear headphones while I wash dishes and turn the disposal on. I'm telling you - I can't hear it with Sony's noise cancelling on the LinkBuds. Like, at all. We've been running an air purifier on full blast this week inside our house. Again, I can't even tell it's on when I've got these earbuds in and the noise cancelling on. Mowed the grass the other day with the LinkBuds S and it cut the mower's sound down to a bare minimum to make for easy podcast listening at a normal volume. The water resistance is nice, too, because I didn't have to worry about sweat being an issue. I haven't tried to work out with these earbuds, but I don't think that would be a problem at all. Fit is different from ear to ear and your mileage can vary, but all I can say is that they are a perfect fit for my ears. The package includes other sets of silicone tips, but I haven't tried them at all. Not unlike the big boys, these are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever used and that includes a long list of others, including some with Comply foam tips. I'm so, so happy in this department. I can wear them for hours without fatigue and I've never been able to do that with earbuds before. Also, I just like the look of them. Understated and clean. Simple. If there's one thing I can knock about the LinkBuds S at all it's that the plastic is fairly slippery. It won't be hard to drop these things. Getting them in the ear is pretty easy, but they're so small that the little bit of slipperiness means you may need to have a firmer grip than you might with some others. The same is true for the case. It looks great, it charges the earbuds, and it's absolutely fine. But it is the same slippery plastic. Also, some may lament the fact that the case itself cannot charge wirelessly. I imagine the sequel to these will have that feature, but it's just not a big deal to me. You're not going to need to charge it even every other day unless you are a heavier user than I am. Lastly, while the app isn't the greatest looking bit of software design in the world it works just fine. Pairing the earbuds initially is simple and quick through the app and then you never have to worry about it again. You can set up things like 360 audio and the ambient noise automation in the app very simply. There's also an EQ you can use and customize, as well as features you can activate like having it so that when you speak the headphones automatically turn off noise cancelling and pump in the environment so you can hear who you are talking and don't accidentally shout. It's a useful feature, though I've had it come on when I've coughed - so not perfect just yet. You can also set up the touch controls on the earbuds themselves. I don't use these a ton - they're not always perfect at registering a touch - but I also don't know a better way of implementing things like what Sony is trying to do. It's nice for a quick need to pause/play or turn on/off noise cancelling. You can also set it up to use Amazon and Google's voice assistants if you're into that. Sound is so subjective and I'm not an audiophile. All I can say is that to my ears they sound fantastic and very close to the over-the-ear 1000M4's. If you're at all familiar with Sony's sound profiles I can't imagine you'd be disappointed with these. If you're new to Sony, then welcome. You can tweak things to your liking and I imagine get a very bass-heavy profile if that's your cup of tea. But right out of the package I would say they just have a really nice, clear sound that doesn't overdo any sonic end of the spectrum. I know there's a ton of other options in this space, but I think if you're looking for a really great all-around earbud that will make most things sound the way they're supposed to, then these are a wonderful choice.

The earbuds fitted comfortably in my ears, snugged but are not too much..music audio has very good range, bass, treble and vocal is good. But where I ran into issue is mostly during phone calls. You can hear a bit of crackling. I tried unpairing and re-pairing with my phone but to no avail. Pairing with your phone is easy. You can download a digital instruction by scanning a QR code. And design is very elegant. Packaging is very eco conscious which is a big plus for me. You can tell each tiny detail design is very deliberate. I would use these for listening to movies or music on my flights but not for conference calls. The box comes with 3 extra ear cushions for different sizes for better personalization. Battery life is very good. It certainly outlasts my phone battery! The Sony connect app gives you a better control for ambient control, noise cancelling. What I appreciate is that they do not force you to sign in or create a login to use the app. You can create shortcuts using the app which is super useful when you're on the go. Now, if I only I can remember what they are...

Ive veen with samsung earbuds since the first ones they released and wanted to try somthing new. The sound quality is great and noise canceling is top tier. Its light weight and comfort is amazing. If you dont really care about having a full future set id suggest these.

Great for small ears. super light and comfortable. Much more comfortable than pixel buds or pixel buds pro. The app is difficult to use

I mostly like them for the price sometimes one ear bud goes quiet and I have to take it out of my ear and put it back in again … that’s a little annoying but they sound nice and block out the noise enough

After trying many true wireless earbuds, these are my winners. Sounds quality is excellent, fit and comfort is great, and the extra features like ANC, transparency mode, and multi device pairing make this an extremely solid purchase.

Terrible Bluetooth connection, constantly cuts out and disconnects from the App. It’s pretty annoying but for me not a dealbreaker. The sound is pretty good the noise cancellation is decent but sound definitely comes through. VERY COMFORTABLE I have a hard time finding in-ear headphones that don’t cause me discomfort, I had to return my AirPods Pro 2 gen for that reason as well as countless others. For $128 I would recommend to others because for me overall for the price is worth it.

Lets get started. so where to begin. Setup - setup does utilize bluetooth and easily pairs with my Android Google Pixel 6 Pro. So that part was easy - then just download the Sony Headphone app from the play store - the app detects the buds and off you go. Sound Quality - They sound really good out of the box, albeit a bit on the flat side to me. Easy fix with the app to set the sound field to your preference. The app has many different presets and a couple of slots for custom. You can modify on a few different adjustment(5 total across the band). The biggest option for sound the the Ambient Sound control - here you have the ability to setup Noise Cancelling/Ambient Sound/Off. Noise cancelling is self explanatory and works pretty well although only while listening to music. Ambient allows some sound through such as voice frequency and is adjustable. Of course OFF turns this completely off and all audio passes beyond the volume of the music and the fit you have. Controls - Oh my goodness the amount of control you have with these headphone and the magic sauce is in the app. So many things for customization here. lets start off with touch control - each bud has the touch function and seems to recognize 4 functions per bud ( 1 touch, 2 tap touch, 3 tap, continuous touch). You have the ability to configure each of these in the app. I really like the right bud double tap - launch Spotify playlist!!! Just pop in the buds, double tap - and i'm listening!!! Voice assistant is also a option - uses both Google and Alexa. I tried the speak-to-chat feature - this feature stops playback when they detect you talking - neat little feature but i turned it off - it would pause a bit to frequently when i would hum/sing to the music or if I made any kind of sound like a sniffle or throat clear. Fit - I love these type of buds . They insert at an angle then "twist and lock" in the ear. VERY comfortable and you hardly know they are there. Very secure fit as well. great for active users and gym users.

A pair of earbuds need to meet certain criteria to be considered a worthy product. They need to sound amazing where you can close your eyes and imagine every instrument in an orchestra. They need to fit your ears and stay comfortable for extended wear. Beyond that, it's just bonus. The Sony Linkbuds S bring all that to the table and throw in a few extra features like 360 degree sound and intuitive sound cancelling. The best part is the incredible bass reflex that's so deep, it's hard to believe they're not over the ear phones. Most earbuds have tinny bass and overly crisp treble. The Sony Connect app allows you to setup the earbuds and customize the sound with many preset equalizer settings. You can toggle the active noise cancelling and use 360 sound. There's a procedure which takes a picture of the contour of each ear to better customize the listening experience. I'm not sure if it does anything or not since the earbuds rest inside the canal and bypass the external part of the ear entirely. I suppose it gives you a sense of personalization that makes you think they're going above and beyond other brands. I think the case works well at securing and charging the buds, though I noticed after one full charge, the case had an orange light blinking suggesting it was at half power which means you might get 2 charges out of the case before it needs plugging in. I'm impressed with the style and sound of these earbuds so much, that I wouldn't even mind spending the higher price for them.

Better than AirPods Pro which have been my daily drivers. Better sound, better ANC, better mic for calling, better fit, better battery life. Wish they were a tad smaller for comfort when sleeping with them… Oh and from someone with very waxy ears, no buildup!

Great ANC and I really like the adaptive sound control feature where it automatically adapts to the environment so I don't need to switch between noise cancelling and ambient sound. It's lightweight and fits nicely in my ears. Overall I'm happy with it and recommend it.

They work really good they’re comfortable they give you different options for size of your ears The sound is really good plus it comes with an app so you can adjust it to whatever you like . Definitely five stars.

These earbuds sound good, fit well, and are very light. The noise cancelling is good.

I love these Sony ear buds. This is my second pair! -They are super comfortable. I can wear them for long periods no problem. -They don't stick out a ton. I've fallen asleep wearing them several times, and the pressure from the pillow didn't wake me. -Noise canceling is really good and pass through are really good. Good seal helps with this. -Only con was on the original Buds, they were too smooth and easy to drop. These new Buds and case are very grippy and don't have the same issue. I actually went from these to the Samsung Pro3 due to my Sony buds not charging anymore (after alot, alot of use). I bought a second pair of the Sony Buds because I love the first pair so much.

Stylish, lightweight, comfortable and when you replace the silicone tips with foam tips, they perform the same as the wf-1000xm4. Better highs, clearer mids, but a fraction less of bass. Would recommend.

Unboxing: standard appearing charging case with short usb-c cable. Ear buds. Different sized tips with size SS, S, and LL. Setup: install app on your phone, which you can conveniently reach by scanning the included QR code. After that, follow the prompts in 3-4 steps depending on whether you want to use certain features or not. That’s it. Everything worked seamlessly and installing/connecting my ear buds took less than 2 minutes total. The standard earbud tips (size L) fit my ears perfectly with a good seal. But if they don’t fit well, you can try the other 3 sizes included. Sound quality was great, I didn’t note any tinniness. Sound was clear even on a crowded tram at Hartsfield, and the ANC helped cancel out Boeing 737 engine noise in the air. Felt comfortable after 4 hours in. I’m very happy with the sound quality, fit, and the noise cancellation. The case and buds have a matte black texture which feels nice and doesn’t pick up fingerprints. The included charging cable is short, but by this point, most people have at least a few usb-c cables lying around the house so I didn’t think that was a negative. If anything, not having a bunch of extra slack kept my desk space clean when I was charging the case.

I really like the balanced sound of these earbuds. Bass is good but not overpowering. No distortion at the highest volume I'm comfortable with. Noise cancellation is really good, almost as good as my over-ears Sony XM3's. Bluetooth connection is solid to Pixel 5 and Pixel 6a Battery life is as advertised. Fit is just OK for me, but that is different from person to person. I can't wear them for more than 2 hours at a time before they really start to hurt my ears.

these are genuinely some of the best sub-$200 earbuds i’ve ever used. the noise cancellation is almost in bose territory but the sound quality and comfort is nearly unmatched by anything else in this price point. everything about them is customizable! even the sound eq, ambient modes, touch controls, absolutely everything!

So I’m been using these for a few days now, and it’s time to give a review. Sound quality: These are from Sony, so you know they are good quality. Amazing noise canceling as well. The pass through when listening to music or calls seems solid, and I can hear my surroundings very well. Build quality: These feel really good in ear, and I wear them for long periods of time with no issues. They nice to the touch, almost like a sandstone feel for the black model (I don’t know about the other colors). They are really light weight, you’ll forget they are in your ears. Battery life is solid, and is pretty much s as advertised by Sony. I’ve gone just over three days so far on the same charge, and I’m hoping to get another several days with them in use. Bluetooth range is nice, because frequently left my phone at the front of my house and it did not drop connection. I was not planning on testing the range at this distance, but they did very well. I tested with an iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Galaxy S22 Ultra, both phone were good when used with the buds. There is an app to set them up, and take advantage of all the perks of these buds. The Sony connect app. It’s easy to understand, will guide you through the process. You do need to use the app, and you can simply pair them to your phone via Bluetooth directly. I’d recommend the app though.
