Went looking for headphones that I could use to study and drown out sounds. Does the job with a little music piped through quite well. Not perfect but good enough for my usage. Also use them for cell phone. Great reception on both ends. Highly impressed.

I think that most people bypass the Sony headphones for the fancy brand name models. These blow them away in sound for the dollar. If you can do without the brand appeal of other headphones go ahead and treat yourself.

these are the best headphones I had ever owned. Although I am a fan of loud music, I honestly have to watch the volume with these. And the bass.....oh my god; the bass!

I bought these head phones for my girlfriend for her birthday. She loved them. Telling me how great they sound. I listen to them and agreed that they have a great sound. Crisp sound, good base. Love them.

Very comfortable headphones, I can wear for hours without hurting my ears. Great sounds and plenty of bass.

We tried many other more expensive ear phones, but these where the best by far when price matters. Extra Bass is very important to me and I was surprised that I could have it at this price point!

Very loud and easily driven without a headphone amplifier. Bass is RIDICULOUS! They are pretty soft/muddy in the highs, but using an EQ makes these headphones sound VERY good. The added bass is nice with 70's and 80s music as much of the music have lower bass levels set in production. They have a nice "warm" sound, and again when an EQ is applied to raise the treble they sound very nice. I often times actually reduce the 80-250Hz range a little just to balance everything out. Compared to my Seinhiser Momentums, without EQ the Momentums win. With equalization, I prefer the sound from these headphones.

The bass is good for loud environments such as airplanes or buses. For everyday viewing it's a bit overpowering. I had to adjust my iPhone's EQ to lower the bass. So it really depends on what you're looking for.

When I am trying to get away from the world I am able yo block a lot of things out with the headphones because they fit right over my ears & makes the music just flow through my mind

I purchased 2 of these because I like them so much. I use one at home and one for travel (even though they are large, not compact). They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time whereas other brands have hurt my ears. They are also noise cancelling, which is great. I use them to listen to music as well as class lectures, and I have found the the sound quality to be excellent. Great product.

I bought these headphones for a friend and they were raving about how comfortable they were. And the noise canceling aspect is ok but all around good for the price

Great sound! Bough my first pair last year but my brother kept trying to steal them so bought a second pair for him!!!

I have Studio Beats and I enjoy them but I felt like the heavy bass was missing like the previous models had. So when I saw the extra bass Sony headphones I was excited to give them a test drive. Now they are definitely bass heavy but the clarity takes some what of a back seat compared to what I'm used to with my Beats. All in all they are a good pair of headphones and the bass is the reason why I will be keeping them.

I love these headphones! I had originaly purchased a pair of Bose on-the-ear phones....and was left utterly disappointed by the lack of sound quality. No lows....not crisp highs....and the miss were just muddy. These Sonys are the antithesis to that experience. Rich bass (not overpowering or obnoxious like some of the more "popular" if not cliché brands, clean highs and well-balanced mids. The price was very reasonable at just a shade over $100. And they are super comfy to boot. I use these for recreational listening as well as studio mixing my own music on my DAW. You won't be diasappoitlnted!

Great on my desktop, laptop, and iPad. At my age clarity is sometimes a problem. Not with these. I now watch my DVD movies on my PC or laptop with no sound problem.

I have a larger sized head which makes it hard to find headphones that fit. These are snug but good and the sound is beautiful.

This is the BEST headphones I have ever gotten. LOVE THE BASS ESPECIALLY. This really have a great sound and amazing bass. I think it's absolutely perfect. Everything sounds amazing and this have an all in all nice feel. I strongly recommend this headphone to whom want to buy a headphone..

Good headphones that are reaonsabley priced. Like the look better than the Beats you see everyone wearing. Only issue is that they do not come with a case and I travel a lot.

Sound quality is super sharp and smooth. At first I thought I originally wanted the wireless version but these turned out to be a better deal for me.
