Looked at several different manufactured but then really didn't want to spend the $500+. I have friends that bought Sony headphones flans have been extremely happy with them. Still skeptical even after purchase, I plugged into a set on the way home from best buy and was pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase. I am extremely happy that this comes with a flat cord.

They are lightweight, so much so that I wear them all day at work with comfort. They provide booming bass, and they work well when I make and answer telephone calls.

It came down to these and a Bose but choose these due to the $60 savings compared to the Bose. They seem to be quite sturdy and a bit on the heavy side so if you're looking for a lightweight pair these may not be for you. All in all, I'm happy with my first pair of headphones that cost more than $20.
