This is a nice upgrade from the PlayStation 3. I'm not huge on the glowing controller and you can't disable it. This system focuses more on the sharing aspect. Share videos of gameplay, watch your friends play, join parties, etc. What used to be the xmb screen seems a lot more difficult to navigate easily. When looking for something it takes me a while to find it. Can't load music onto the harddrive like you could on the PS3. If you can, I haven't figured it out. They want you to use some type of streaming service. You can still play music from a usb drive. If you want to play new games, you gotta buy next-gen consoles. I prefer Playstation. It's different but still familiar.

Bought a PS4 last year and just recently upgraded from the stock HDD to a SSD and what a world of a difference that made. Loading games and apps on this console now are blazingly fast and boot times are also increased! Would recommend this console to anyone in the market & if you have a bit of spare cash, go ahead and grab yourself a SSD as well for it!

So I waited a little over a year to decide if I should get the Xbox one or the PS4. This decision was not easy at all. A big factor that made me get this console was that I my first console was a PS2 when I was young and I really enjoyed it. I was always a big fan of the Play Station product line but this tops it off. The features on the home screen was confusing at first but it's easy once you get the hang of it. What I like about this product is the Rest Mode the console has. I can charge my remote control or download something over night without worrying about the console overheating.
