    Amazing Hardware... Some gripes.

The PS5 runs great.. It is quiet and cool running! Games look and run amazing on it! I do have some gripes on how to see what DLC you own for Ps4 games on your PS5... When you select “View Content” or Manage Content” on the old PS 4 under any games option in your library would show an Itemized list of all the DLC owned for that particular game which was perfect to see things like your Season passes or any kind of DLC you own for that game.. Well, for whatever non-bright reason Sony decided on the Ps5 With All the backwards compatible PS 4 games now when you select “View Content” for your Ps4 games instead of the DLC you own being specifically itemized like on the PS4 they decided to change it to be able to see a total amount of DLC for that PS4 game.. For example, if you own a game like Far Cry 4 or 5 and have all the DLC on the PS4 You can see the specific DLC like Season pass, skins, map packs, etc. you own, but on PS5 for all PS4 games installed It just says “Currently, 8 game content items are installed. Theres no other game content you can install.” But, for PS5 Games they left it the same, unchanged as it was on the Ps4 to when you select “manage game” on a Ps5 game it shows you all the specific itemized DLC just like it did on the PS4 ... I dont know why all the backwards compatible ps4 games they changed to only see a total of DLC owned is a bad move... This needs to change as when you have a game that you did not play in a while and not sure if you own things like the season pass it was easy to check on the PS4 but, now you have to further dig into your main account to see what DLC you specifically own for that PS4 game... It makes no sense why they changed the way we can see our DLC purchases with a specific game to just total it with no descriptions or thumbnails like Microsoft still does on their side on the Series X.. On Xbox Series X I can still see all the Old Xbox 360 itemized DLC when I select “Manage Game content” I dont know why Sony took itemized DLC which was perfect to see what you fully own easily changing it to make it more complicated only seeing a total amount of DLC not knowing if you own a $3 skin for that game or $20-$30 season pass. If I buy a game on sale I might not play it right away so when it comes time to play it sometimes I need to double check fast what DLC or extra maps if I got them yet or not and on the PS5 it is now much more of a hassle to check what PS4 DLC you have... If Microsoft can still itemize there xbox 360 games DLC on a series X then Sony could have left it like the Ps4 as well as you can see All itemized DLC with the Ps5 games the same. Ps4 games on the PS5 should be able to view all the Itemized DLC and not just total it with no details. There is no logic to this change and it needs to be fixed ASAP... I love the console but, do not like that I cant see an itemized list of the tons of DLC I bought for my PS4 games. Why change the way DLC is viewed for Ps4 games when that worked perfect before.. Not sure but this was a mistake on Sony’s behalf.

Pros: - Graphics for PS5 games are insane. It's not a minor upgrade from the PS4, it's a major upgrade. - Graphics for some PS4 games are enhanced when played on the PS5. Off the top of my head, Ghosts of Tsuhima, Last of US II, Horizon Zero Dawn look much better, crispier, and run at better frame rates than on the PS4. - Load times are super quick. - Official Sony accessories are top notch. - Backward compatible with every PS4 title I own. Cons: - This thing is the size of a Mini Cooper. Seriously, it's huge. Weighs more than a Mini Cooper.

The PlayStation 5: Sony's Greatest Achievement In

The PS5 is a true next-generation console. It truly makes you feel like you're entering into a new phase of gaming. The PS5 controller, the DualSense is the greatest part of this machine yet- it critically immerses you in any game that supports its haptic feedback feature and reels you in heavily into the gameplay. Even when you thought you've had enough time playing games the new controller doesn't fail in making you want to the experience limitless fun even more so. The Playstation Collection is a library of free critically acclaimed games available on every PS5. Ranging from titles such as the PS exclusives Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted 4, to multi-plat wonders such as Final Fantasy XV and Fallout 4. Although it is a requirement that you must be subscribed to PS plus to access these solid games, you will not regret it once you begin your subscription. Its super fast SSD enables you to zip through your games with nearly-instant loading times. Grand Theft Auto 5, a game known for having excruciatingly slow loading times operates like a charm on the PS5. When you boot up GTA 5 on the PS5, you'll be waiting no longer than 30 seconds to jump into its prodigious open-world. This wonderful display also manifests in a bunch of other titles as well. The consoles exclusives are exceptional. On PS5 you get games like Spiderman Miles-Morales, Demons Souls, Sackboy's Big Adventure and more! Experiences you'll never be able to receive anywhere else. Astro's Playroom is a game that comes pre-installed with the console, a short but magnificent platformer that introduces you to Playstation's amazing, new controller. The console allows you to play these games at a smooth, consistent 60 frames per second at a crisp 4K resolution. Playstation's new console iteration supports up to 120 FPS and a whopping 8K! We've only seen a modicum of what the Playstation is capable of. Future titles that will take full advantage of the consoles hardware will unveil its true potential. I am having a wonderful time with the Playstation 5. Despite it's catastrophic launch, the PS5 is a paradigm-pushing console platform that gives its competitors a run for their money.

I was lucky to get this console on launch day. I truly feel this console looks and feels next gen! The white color to me looks great, the remote is very comfortable. I would say it’s leaps over the PS4 controller. The haptic feedback is really cool on shooting games that have it like Call Of Duty! I own the Xbox Series X and honestly the games look a bit better on my PS5. Loads games fast and the menus are easy to navigate. Looking forward to all the new games we will all enjoy on the beautiful machine.

Epic console. Lightning fast, silent, cool design. Would prefer larger o device usable storage but nice that External Hard Drive works for the PS4 games and later for PS5. This console is HUGE size wise. But it fits standing vertically behind my TV which is great! Still getting used to the new UI but pretty cool overall. I liked how it told me my brother beat my time in astrobots so I could jump into the game and try to beat his time! Also, best console exclusives hands down compared to the competitors.

Playstation absolutely knocked it out of the park!! The UI is new and intutuive, the controller is something that has to be experienced to undertand. The load times are so fast its freaky! I play ps4 games on it and they dont even seem like the same games, theyre so much smoother and look better. Just wait til you get your PS5. You will not regret it. I love this thing!

I know that there hasn't been many games out for the PS5 however the experience is worth it. The reason for this is due to the better performance of this machine. Compared to the PS4 Slim, I don't have to wait hours just to update a patch or download game as it downloads at 600ish MBPS over ethernet on a gigabit line. The console feels fast with no pauses, stutters and little wait time to get into a game. Any PS4 game that had weird stutters or graphic pop in no longer shows up on the PS5 due to its powerful performance. The PS5 controller feels great with its larger size, feedback with the rumble and feedback triggers. As a freebee that I'm happy about is that when buying a PS5 and having PS Plus; you get 19 great PS4 games for free (PS Plus collection) which adds more value into the purchase of a PS5. It's not all perfect though. There is some question when it comes to the controller as there are some people complaining about controller drift which I didn't get as of yet. My personal issue with the controller is battery life as it only lasts under 6 hours from a full charge. This worries me as when the controller gets older, the battery life will just get worse overtime. The other issue comes to it's size as it is almost the same height as a mid tower desktop. I couldn't fit it anywhere in my small apartment so I had to leave it on the floor. The last issue which is minor is you can't place custom backgrounds or use purchased backgrounds from PS4 into PS5. That is a bit lame as I use custom wallpapers to make the PS5 experience unique to myself. In conclusion I highly recommend getting this not just for the next gen games but just the better quality of life issues that plagued the PS4 consoles. If only there was available stock as this was a pain to try and buy >.< .

Should be purchased only from direct retailers with insurance in case you get a lemon. New console new generation may I recommend getting a 4k tv with hdr as well to really truly enjoy this new experience to the max. Well worth the upgrade so happy since I went from launch ps4 to this , definitely an improvement. Next gen games are next gen, Ps4 games are basically just frame touch ups but same resolution no real difference unless they had ps4 pro upscaling too. Keep away from children not a play toy , should he treated with care. Also recommended a longer hdmi cable if you want to extend beyond 4 ft. Oh btw wireless antenna was definitely upgraded this gen, and this console is big like 16 inches tall and its shocking once you try and fit this console in your set up, even laid down sideways you might have an issue. So make room, get a tv and enjoy this new beast.

It was quite difficult to pre-order the PS5, but I truly lucked out because even with all the restocks certain retailers have had... it is still unbelievably hard to place the order. I hope anyone that still wants one gets one soon. The PS5 has ran beautifully so far from what I've experienced. The set up was of course easy and fast. The new UI is smooth and I definitely like it more than the old one on the PS4. The Dualsense Controller is AMAZING. It is probably the next best thing (only second to the console itself) with the way it works. It's not as slippery like the Dualshock and feels great in hand. Even after hours of gaming, I did not feel any fatigue in my hands. The battery life is probably similar to its predecessor. The game to show off the controllers features is fun. Hopefully game developers will take advantage of it in the future. Overall, the console runs very smoothly and I have not experienced any sort of loudness with it. I have yet to hear the fan running when I'm playing with graphic intensive game. I do recommend when playing games, to choose performance over the resolution. You will absolutely get a higher FPS and I think it just runs a lot better that way. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to experience next gen even though we've just merely begun to play those games.

Having upgraded from the base PS4 to the PS5 is like night and day. The PS5 is a beast not only in size but in power. Games load in extra fast on the new ssd and look amazing in 4k. The new dual sense controller is wild! I don't think I knew that I would like it so much. The resistance you feel in the triggers and haptic feedback you feel when you are firing a weapon or shooting a web is so immersive. I didn't know I needed it but now I can't go back.

My family and I have used the PlayStation 3 for the past 5 years. I decided to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 and I must say, We are extremely happy with the design. We purchased the PlayStation 5 online and was notified a day early that our equipment was ready. After we set up the console and played some demo games I was shocked at how well the graphics, controller, and speed operate. I am completely satisfied and happy about this purchase.

I never do reviews on stuff I buy but I felt like I needed to do it for this, especially during all of the news about Sony’s choices and upcoming plans. I’ve supported Sony since the very first PlayStation & until this day, I’ve owned every single one of them. I’ve had an Xbox before but reason that I stuck with Sony was the fact I created an account with them since the day of PSN was created and I made many friends through it and I like the trophies I’ve earned in my account.. so it’s difficult to just move on from that and start fresh on the Xbox thing, so that’s the reason I’m still on Sony’s side. Anyway, for the PlayStation 5, the console is amazing, from the looks of it to how it runs. Yes, they have been a lot of reports with people having problems with it but like with everything else, you get broken things or things that do not work properly and that’s unlucky for them but for the majority of the people the console is perfect. It’ll run anything perfectly fine, from the graphics to the smoothness of the gameplay, also how fast it is compared to the PlayStation 4 is absolutely breathtaking and you’ll notice that the moment you first turn it on. Also 1 feature that you could only get when you first turn the console on, is a video of start up that looks/feels like the old PlayStation 2 menu. Other than that, just enjoy the console, it is difficult to get one, still, but with time the chip shortage will be solved. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed with this. Good luck to anyone looking for one, Best Buy is definitely the place to get one!

Phenomenal console.LOOKS WAY BETTER IN PERSON. Truly next gen as the new dual sense controller really took it to the next level. Feels like you're wearing a glove with the haptic feedback. Super hard to explain in words you really need to buy it to experience. Had so much fun feels like your riding a rollercoaster. Forget XBOX and it's old controller. The fact that it still requires 2 double AA batteries in 2020 should be a deal breaker.

It's everything I wanted, coming from a PS3. Everything is fast, looks gorgeous, and plays extremely well. Controller battery life is not quite what I'm used to, but I'm getting a good 3-4 play sessions before getting any warnings about low battery. Also, it's bigger than you expect it to be. Make sure to give it some room around the vents, too. Keep trying, if you want one you'll get it eventually!
