PS button doesn’t turn on system most of the time, limited 4K menu functionality (sometimes have to use a regular controller to even go back on certain menu), no ability to chapter skip. Basically only good for pressing play and that’s assuming you don’t have connection issues.

This remote is a great investment if you're going to use your PS5 as a DVD player. It does feel like the buttons could be better labeled. And the quick keys seem to be too easy to press.

Overall the remote paired up easily and works fine. The detractors are too big not to mention.
Those 5 buttons at the bottom that were intended to be oh-so-handy. Let's start with the media buttons. You can't reprogram them or disable them.
Personally, of the 4 pre-programmed buttons, I have a subscription to Netflix. That leaves me with 3 useless buttons. Except that they're not completely useless, they're actually a pretty major hindrance. They press very easily so if you say, set the remote on the couch and then accidentally sit on it, there's a very good chance you just interrupted whatever you were watching to load Spotify or Youtube.
Not only can I not use these buttons for their intended purpose (because I don't use those apps, maybe someday YouTube will make it into my regular viewing I guess?) they actively work against me, daily, when I'm using an app that I actually do subscribe to that maybe just didn't want to pay Sony to be represented on their remote.
The PS button has the same issue but to a much lesser degree. It seems to happen less frequently for me and if it does I just press it again to close the overlay it brings up. Maybe relocate this towards the top in future versions of this janky remote so it doesn't come up. If this were the only problem I'd definitely consider it workable.
The media buttons are absolutely worth avoiding this remote for. If they add some sort of "Safety" feature in an update so that it's not interrupting my programming on a daily basis I would up this to a 3 or 4 star review but even then the simple fact that they're not programmable is silly and a pretty major detractor.
Don't waste your money unless you're aware of the exact placement of your remote at all times or you will almost definitely run into the same problems and REALLY like Youtube and Spotify.

Finally was able to nab one of these and I am glad I did. Only wish that you could customize the quick jump streaming buttons. Never use Spotify, but would have liked to be able to quick jump to Hulu or HBO Max. Outside of that, it's a great companion to the PS5.

Good item for people that use their Playstation 5 for media and dont want to be carrying their controller everywhere. It has a decent battery life. Easy to Setup.

Great little remote. I use the PS5 to watch streaming Apps and the remote paired with my TCL TV and sound bar perfectly. Now I only need one remote to control 3 products. Much better than using the controller for using the streaming apps.

It’s comes in handy if your dog chewed your tv remote up. I stream most of my stuff on my PS5 now but if I want to set a sleep timer or change tv settings I have to use the mobile Samsung app to do so but overall this does control my sound bar, and power of my tv as well as PlayStation.

I like the fact that i can use the remote instead of my PS5 controller. Sometimes the audio function will pop up every once in awhile. Overall I'm glad I bought this remote.

Great media remote, Bluetooth connection, one small issue is that the four shortcut buttons are not programable. Other than that it works great! XBOX needs to follow this setup!

Theres really no need for it besides for the aesthetics. Very simple and easy to use. The buttons are very sensitive if your ps5 is off and you accidentally touch a button itll turn on.

Sony totally outdid themselves in every single way this little remote does more than an expensive remote I paid $99 for on sale. Good job Sony and voice activated for cheap the Game system was hard to get but everything all the accessories are worth it

I can't explain how handy it is to have an actual remote for my PS5. We use it to watch movies, and while technically you can do that with controllers, it's just more intuitive having a remote.

It’s ok it’s not the best controller it’s missing some features when you’re doing stuff on the apps or logging into stuff you still the the controller for but if you’re using it strictly for media it’s better having that small remote in your hand then the big controller to do stuff

This is a good solution for media while your game controller charges. It is a basic remote with essential functions that just work. My only gripe with it is that the battery cover is difficult to reattach.
