Bought the camera to broadcast myself while streaming on Twitch. Picture quality is pretty good but need the light in the room adjusted to just the right brightness and angle for the best capture. Tracks motion well for games that support the camera functionality.

The Camera for PS4 is a good...could be great if there were more games that would use the camera's functions. Just Dance with the camera is a lot of fun, and other basic voice commands are decent but could be better. Good start, hoping it will only get better over time.

purchased on a whim because of a good sale price, pleasantly surprised with the technology. great buy for kids, they love all the content and interaction that comes from the AR demos and games (free downloads from the playstation store) also a really cool feature is the facial recognition login to the console. highly recommend this add on.

Can't beat it for the price. I got it so my 5 and under nieces could play The Playroom. Hilarious to see them jumping around and playing with the ar bots. I also use the microphone feature to quickly jump to a specific game that I have downloaded on my system.

The camera itself is great. However, the limited games that can use it make it an expensive trinket. Do you need it? Only if you have Just Dance games. Other action/adventure games do not have any use for it.

I bought this camera to be a room mic. And it does that very well. It might not have very much use right now, but maybe it will have much more use later on. Even though I don't use it as a camera currently, it is kinda disappointing that its not 1080p.

While I don't use it much, it works just as advertised. the microphone on it could pick up the faintest sounds around the house so be careful with you are talking about someone online lol. I picked up the camera because I wanted the complete package. I don't really have to use the headset that came with the PS4 as much anymore.

This product works great and does everything that it's supposed to. I would have rated 5 stars if the picture quality was better. Still worth the money and necessary for putting your face on the Playstation online game apps like twitch and ustream.

I bought this camera for my son's PS4. My son was very pleased with the performance of the camera. The camera's lens and microphone worked better than I expected. People can see you and hear you crystal clear on the other end. I definitely recommend this camera. You can't beat the quality of camera for the price.

Is it a necessary accessory not really but It does add more value to the PS4 in my opinion added this to your setup gives the console more function. The software needs some investment form Sony but the overall experience is nice. I actually own two.

The pre-installed software for the camera on the PS4 is rather quite dull the only actual game requires two players and two controllers. The one player modes are nothing but a time waster. The camera itself is really nice. Great for capturing yourself when streaming game play and the microphone can be used party chat as well. It will instantly kick in when head set is disconnected. You can also use it for voice commands on the PS4. I use them all the time to power down or rest mode. It is a key item now for the new VR head gear.

so far u have used this mainly for streaming but the setup is super easy and it's nice that you can tilt the camera as well.. Good picture and now people can put a face with the psn name I guess haha. Looks like there's some fun games for it too

Nice but really a not useful device. The camera looks high tech however the image quality is very poor. The facial recolonization is okay but I still have to manually type the login since my system is password protected so it doesn't automatically log in by facial recognition. So far I have not used the camera more than a few times and probably will return it. Not my norm, but it was an impulsive buy to take advantage of a Black Friday deal....despite the promotional price, I don't consider it a deal as the technology has limited utility and usability in the PS4 environment. Perhaps if you play online gaming or conduct audio/video chats then it may be of value. KC

Bought one for myself for when I want to stream or play the Playroom and bought one for my daughter to play Just Dance. We both love it and it works great in the right lighting. If you have a dim room the picture can get a little fuzzy though.

This was a hit this Christmas. We thought it was just something needed to play a game. It is like a game in itself also. you hook it up and you see everything and everyone in the room.....you can fight and kick lil characters on the screen like out of your way! It also works great for Let's Dance, Love it.

I made this purchase well knowing that there isn't a lot of apps or games that are compatible with it but I got it from best buy for only $25. Great deal couldn't pass on it. The playroom app is pretty fun. Voice controls are great when they actually work! Lotta potential I just hope Sony doesn't abandon it

Compared to having experience with the last-gen Kinect and this playstation camera, I expected to at least achieve the same functionality, but was surprised and extremely disappointed to know it isn't quite as good as the old Kinect, and I imagine the new one is even better. You can play only a few games with it and the voice-commands are limited and don't play well with other apps/games. If you're into gameplay that uses this kind of technology, go for the Kinect. Hopefully they'll implement the use of the camera in a broader range, because right now it just looks like it exists because "Xbox has one" (even though, yes, the Playstation Eye did come out first).

The Playstation Camera is a decent camera, I like the fact that it's made with mounting capabilities without purchasing extra accessories. The quality is good but I wouldn't say the quality is as nice as the Kinect for the Xbox One.

This camera has great motion detection and following capabilities with facial recognition. Kind of creepy sometimes though, as it will bring the console out of screen saver mode when it recognizes that a person is looking at the screen.
