I had a lot of doubts, but the PS VR is a great device! Easy to set up (minus the cords), and great launch titles makes this one of the best Sony products that I have ever owned. The games and even the demos are fantastic offering different experiences that highlights what VR brings to gaming. Do not listen to the naysayers and pick this up before it sells out!

What an awesome bundle! Couldn't believe what a great value it was compared to buying everything individually! The VR system itself is very easy to use & setup & really makes u feel more immersed in the gaming experience! My husband absolutely loves it & we're both looking forward to trying out all the exciting new games coming out soon! Well worth the buy!

For some strange reason there seems to be a lot of negativity coming from gamers about PSVR. After using it, I am convinced these naysayers have never tried it. It's phenomenal and I have absolutely NO buyers remorse. The only game that has made me nauseous so far is RIGS. The quality of the hardware and software exceeded my expectations by far. I really hope that people's reluctancy won't keep them from at least experiencing it. I implore you, if you haven't tried this, do so, THEN make your decision. I'm pretty sure I know what it will be. This is definitely not going the same route as the PS Vita, this takes immersion to a whole new level!

I'll come straight out of the gate and say it... Absolutely mind blowing. I'm not a new gamer or a person who is naive to gaming technology. I've been gaming since I was 8 in the 1980's. My families mind was blown when Nintendo 64 came out and games went from 2D to 3D with Star Fox. Then I tried Nintendo's Virtual Boy in the 1995 and was fascinated at the idea of virtual reality BUT IT was really bad!
Fast forward to the Playstation VR. Last night I set it up, put it on and I think I screamed like a girl in a candy shop. After waiting for close to 30 years for the technology to put their money where their mouth is, it's finally the real deal.
A few things I'd like to note:
1. I read dozens of reviews, previews and heard alot of negatives about the 'screen door' effect, the low quality video, etc. I DID NOT see this as an issue while playing it. In fact, I was so immersed into the experience I rarely cared or pay attention to it. It's not an issue unless your a gamer who HAS TO HAVE the clearest, best sounding, latest 4K experience... If so, it won't impress you. If your an average gamer who just wants to experience cool tech, then this is the real deal.
2. CINEMA MODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is legit. In fact, I had to take it off and text my dad and friends (they were waiting with baited breath to hear how it went). I turned on Hulu and it went into a VR lobby. When I turned on a show it literally felt like I was in an IMAX theater kicking back by myself. With the headphones it literally felt like I was in my own personal IMAX theater. Keep in mind, it's not a absolutely crystal clear screen / picture but it still looks really good and the overall effect is really cool.
3. GAMES. Most of them are just tech demos even in full game format. Although, a few really stand out and the ones that do are surprisingly simple but addictive. In fact, the game Job Simulator was addictive and really made me feel like I transported into a simpson's like world. My kids (10yrs and 13rs) loved this one the most.
4. CORDS, CORDS, CORDS. There's alot of cords and it's an awkward setup but very easy to setup to say the least. I highly recommend getting a headset stand and charger for the move controls.
5. Keep the glass cloth that comes with it near by. Sometimes your face touches the glass and the oil from your face can smear. Sounds gross but will happen.
6. NON-VR Games... Another feature that some reviewers crapped on. Honestly, I pulled up Dying Light and Hitman and with the cinema mode and enlarging the screen, I literally felt like I was playing the game on a IMAX screen. The screen quality isn't pure HD and it does have a small amount of blur but it reminds me of PS3 games and the quality. Honestly, I was stoked about this. Those complaining are gaming snobs that are spoiled and can't have anything less then 4K, 15.1 surround sound (there isn't 15.1 just exaggerating obviously).
LOOK, after playing last night for 6 hours with myself and my two boys... I'm sold and literally can't wait for more games to come out. I REALLY HOPE this isn't a Wii scenario because it's new tech and it fades out BUT I'm pretty sure this is here to stay and that really excites me. I will most likely be playing this with all my games VR and NON-VR for now on.
You can definitely wait until second generation or third generation but if you've been waiting years like myself, it's worth every penny.

Playstation VR is amazing. I have been looking forward to this for many years and it's finally here. In the launch bundle you get the headset along with two move controllers, the camera, and the game VR Worlds. Not to mention a demo disc with 18 games on it! It's a great deal. It's considerably cheaper then other options and it has Playstation backed games. Anyone with a standard PS4 CAN RUN IT. That's the beauty in it.
Sony will get VR mainstream with the Playstation VR. This will be the new standard for video games going forward. It just depends how long it will take to catch on. This is not a gimmick like the Kinect, it's gaming's future whether you like it or not and I can't wait to jump in!

I bought this In the store on release day after trying it a few weeks earlier. I was impressed when I tried it but after getting it home and being able to try some other games it was amazing the feeling was out of this world. If you have a PS4 and want to try VR I would try this. No need to get a new computer to use it.

Setting this up takes some trial and error but when you find the sweet spot it's like magic. Few other things are quite like this. You aren't just playing a game, you are in the game. Everywhere you look you are completely immersed. The added feature of being able to play non VR games or watch videos in the cinema mode is a great bonus. It feels like playing on a movie theatre screen. I honestly cannot wait to see where this technology goes in the next few years. If you're a gamer who has seen it all this might have a few surprises in store for you.

I usually don't get things on launch day but I decided since I don't use my PS4 that much to go at 11:01 pm (central time) and brace for a crowd of people...and it wasn't even crowded! Maybe about 12 people ahead of me so it was worth it. I haven't set it up yet but I wanted to tell people to they don't seem to be running short on these things yet. If you can get the controller and camera seperate for cheaper, do it. That way you raise your chances at least for getting the VR headset since most people are buying the bundle. Okay, VR time!!

This is incredible. I was totally skeptical at first and after reading some of the reviews but I am so glad I bought this. I am not a huge gammer but this thing is so much fun and you really feel like you are in the game. The 360 degree sound is amazing. I found myself reaching out to grab things and at points actually screaming because it felt so real. Totally worth it and so much fun!

Playstation 4 dominates the gaming industry which leaves the lonely players of Xbox bored so they will write negative reviews on the PSVR and related items. Go and get the VR. It's Playstation so it's worth it.

I'm not much of a gamer, but my son is. Bought the vr bundle at local best buy today. Wowwwww it's amazing. I don't know how to describe it other that surreal! Only complaint is my forehead gets warm after a while from head gear. It's definitely worth the money. Fun thing is that one of us can play the games the normal way while the second plays with you but in headset. It's hilarious to watch my son (12 years old) randomly looking around the room in amazement.

The VR is beyond my expectations. I feel it literally transforms you into new worlds. At points it feels a little too real blurring the lines between VR and Reality! To me worth every penny! My only two criticisms 1. The VR is a little fuzzy (i can only imagine what the future will bring). 2. All the wires make it a little cumbersome, but not bad. I cant wait for a wireless virsion hopefully in the future ! Well done Playstation!

Good start to VR and has a semi-low entry cost. So the picture on BBY is incorrect, the product come with the new camera.
Overall love the system, i can play all games in cinema mode, it essentially has a massive VR screen in front of you.
The current VR system will allow any HDMI passthough to display in cinema mode, however the USB port will still need to be plugged into the PS4 and powered on.
Overall it is a good system and no issues with it. cant wait for more games.

Wow! What can I say. I'll be honest and admit that I was not going to buy into his this VR hysteria. Sony has launched many crapoy add-one over the years that turned out to be gimmicks and failures. So I thought the PS4VR would follow this trend. After trying out a demo at my local BB I was sold! This was the most fun I've had in gaming since the PS1 was initially launched in 1995! This was well worth the investment. Only down side is the setup / calibration effort and excessive number of wires. Go out and buy it now! It will be difficult to find the launch bundle this Christmas!

I read a ton of reviews and watched a lot of videos before deciding to purchase the VR. All the reviews have been pretty positive and the videos of the games look like a lot of fun. Can't really get a good idea of the VR unless you actually have the headset on, I just went for it and I'm glad I did.

You know, I REALLY hope the 572 dollars I just spent were worth it lol I have never played the demo version at a best buy, n I brought it mostly for that Until Dawn game and the game that the lunch bundle comes with. Now I am wondering if I should get a stand as well (because I do have OCD when it comes to clutter....thanks military).

This is like the wii of VR headsets, it is the cheapest of the big 3 VR headsets and although it doesn't have the fidelity of the rift or vive it doesn't really take away from the experience. It's also super easy to get on and off making sharing with family and friends a breeze.
