Customers commend the PlayStation VR2 for its immersive gaming experience, easy setup, impressive graphics, and comfortable design. They particularly appreciate the eye tracking feature and consider it a significant upgrade from the previous version. However, some customers express concerns about the limited game selection, high price point, potential for motion sickness, and issues with the controllers.

Literally only worth having for Gran Turismo 7

I also have a Quest 2 and a PSVR 1. This headset is the least comfortable of the three, has the worst controllers, and the shallowest library of games. There are strange display artifacts (streaking, god-rays, noise, mura) that outweigh the benefits of the higher resolution and HDR. There are very few games worth playing for this that don't also exist on Quest or PC. Being wired sucks once you're used to wireless, and the controllers' batteries only last a few hours at most. It's a bad product and I'm glad I got it after the price drop.
That being said - Gran Turismo 7 is an incredible experience. It's the best VR racing game overall that exists right now (including PC VR games). I have a driving wheel controller, so I don't need to use the horrible VR Sense controllers to play it. Also, the style of game (bright, fast-moving backgrounds, fixed foregrounds) sort of works with the display artifacts so they don't bother me as much. Being wired is not a problem if you're sitting in one place. Gran Turismo 7 will probably never be available on any other platform, so if you want to play it in VR, you need to get this headset.
In summary - don't buy this unless you specifically already have a driving wheel controller and are only looking to play Gran Turismo 7.

I recently purchased the PlayStation VR2 from Best Buy, and I'm thrilled with the overall experience. Best Buy's delivery service was prompt and hassle-free, ensuring my PSVR2 arrived in perfect condition. The headset itself delivers exceptional performance with vibrant visuals and sharp details that immerse me in a whole new world of gaming. Although extended use can lead to some head sweating, it's a minor inconvenience compared to the incredible immersion and enjoyment the PSVR2 offers. The improved controllers provide precise tracking and adaptive triggers, enhancing the gaming experience to new heights. With an extensive library of games available, there's something for every taste. Best Buy's delivery and the PSVR2's performance have exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an outstanding virtual reality gaming experience.

Brought this for my husband as a Christmas gift and he loves it. His quote "Gaming will never be the same again!" He says the games are awesome and the visual aspect is so real. He is enjoying the games especially Alien. He said to take it to the next level it would be great to have it wireless. Best gift ever!

I was only going to give a 4 star rating due to the cord but honesty, it’s not a bother. Kinda keeps you from over doing it on some games. The graphics are amazing and even the smaller head phones do very well. For the price, it’s a 5 star day.

By the way, the discussions mentioned below were via chat, so there is a record of it if anyone at Best Buy cares to review.
Great product, but buy elsewhere. First one was defective, returned it and got a new one. Price dropped 2 weeks later (thanksgiving special). Spent 1+ hrs working with support to get price match. Later price match is denied because I returned the product. Spent another hour with support who could never understand that one was returned and another was purchased- they did promise follow-up, but after a month all I received was a confirmation that my request to cancel my Best Buy membership was processed (I never requested that). Went to local store and was met with complacency and had to leave after long wait.

I'm sold. By now there are plenty of great video game options for the PSVR2. Connection was all too easy for the PS5. They look like they were made for each other, as if birthed from the same super computer. The only thing I dislike is how the headset droops down a bit after playing for awhile. I see they made accessories to fix this so I'm going to give one a try. Really having fun with Pistol Whip and High on Life!

Excellent, ease of use and screens are quite good. VR has come a long way. Not all games are totally supported but for the few I played like GT7 they are quite excellent.

The jump from PSVR to PSVR2 is astounding! As long as you are in a well lit room, you will no longer experience camera drifting. The controllers are a massive improvement though they don’t have individual finger tracking like the Meta Quest 2. The ability to adjust retina distances is a huge improvement for focus and the addition of eye tracking and foveated rendering make this have the absolute best visual fidelity of any VR HMD I’ve used. My only complaint is that the PSVR2 needs much more games to justify the price

This was for my 17 year old son that has been doing nothing but raving about this product ever since it was picked up he can’t stop telling me how amazing it is in every single way i know it’s a video game system and I should not probably be happy for him to be so in love with this but as parent especially of a neurodivergent kid it really brings you joy to see your child so passionate about something

As a 41 yr old I told myself along time ago (ps2) I was done with video games, at least until there was VR, Then VR came out and I didn't hear much about it. I at a party and someone had me try this (ps5+VR gen2) with Resident Evil 4 and I couldn't believe how amazing it was! I had to have one 6 days later dropped $1400.

Got it on sale. Wouldn't have purchased otherwise. That being said... It's pretty great tech! Several fun games that are worthwhile as of the time of this review. Whether or not Sony continues supporting it... only time will tell. They do have a tendency to not support their handhelds and various other peripherals such as this. Hopefully that won't be the case here. Oh... also... they really dropped the ball by not figuring out how to make VR1 games compatible without developer updates. Get with the program, game devs!

This is just one of those things that you need to try. Pictures and game videos don't do it justice. Even watching the gameplay on TV while someone uses it couldn't possibly describe how lifelike environments look.
If you're afraid of accidentally smashing your TV, there are virtual borders you can set around yourself that once broken, will stop the game and ask that you step back.
VR games are not as full-featured as regular games, but they are a real trip into another dimension.
