I am really impressed with the sleek design of this speaker. The speaker instantly pairs with my iPhone. The quality is quite nice, especially with the extra bass. Given the size of the speaker, I am really satisfied with the purchase.

I had been looking to give ideas to my family. Unfortunately, all the ones I preferred were well over $100. On Christmas morning, I opened my husband’s gift to me. In my excitement, I immediately read the instructions and charge it. (If I could use it soon, why not?) It quickly charged. This speaker surprised me. The bass was impressive for the cost (husband told on himself). The sound was great! It could be heard from multiple rooms at a moderate level and the distortion was minimal at the highest level. I have younger kids and dogs in our household. This has been dropped and carried with sticky hands. It continues to work even after a good cleaning. Over the last year, I have use this indoors and outdoors. I have taken it to the beach, camping, family gatherings and anywhere else music is appreciated. I am very happy my husband bought this one for me.

Surprising big sound from a small package. Everybody has heard about the Bose products sound. For the price I think that this beats not only Bose but some of the other Bluetooth products on the market. Not only this is a small unit, but this is a very attractive and easy to use unit. I haven't tried the water resistant qualities but I am sure it does what the Sony people claims. I plan to buy a blue one, I have the black for now. If you are interested in a small Bluetooth speaker I would give this a try, you won't be disappointed.

I present to a wide variety of groups and use video clips to demonstrate concepts and ideas. The Sony Bluetooth Speaker is a great addition to my presentation tools. It is compact, easy to pack around, and works perfectly with my older computer. The speakers do a fabulous job with the videos I use making the dialogue clear and crisp. I'll bet that they do wonders for music as well, but that's not my application. I appreciate the quality of the sound, the Bluetooth connection, and the ease of use.

I love this speaker! It produces clear, deep, and rich sound for such a small speaker. It is easy to pair using Bluetooth with my iPhone and iPad. It charges quickly and can be used for a long time. I use the speaker primarily in my bedroom. But recently I carried it on a wilderness canoe camping trip and successfully watched a movie that I had downloaded to my iPhone. The speaker filled our island campsite with high quality sound that made watching and listening to the movie delightful.

Bought this for work since it was only 50$ and was far cheaper than the other brands that we equivalent to sound level. Wish I would have bought a few of them b4 the price went up on them. Great battery life and blue tooth works very well no interference. Sounds quality is amazing and has good base to, also your able to pair 2 of these together for a left and right speaker set up.

I tried out so many speakers before this one and was left disappointed. This one is great! It has good sound quality, it gets loud, and it has long battery life. Not to mention, it's portable and can easily be carried around, so you can always have it with you whenever you need some music in your life ;)

Historically, I have not been a fan of Sony speakers for their sound quality, but their newer BT speakers sound very good. This specific Sony speaker sounds pretty good for the size, but where it really shines is the volume to size ratio. This little speaker is louder than most speakers that are physically much larger. For my purposes, I really enjoy this little speaker that has good sound quality, great volume, great portability, and good battery life.

Reasonably priced. Connected it my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Flawless! Great sound for all types of music. Has a button for extra base. Battery life is excellent--12 hours. It features a water resistant design. It accepts phone calls with a built in micro-phone, has a micro USB cable. Bought it on sale $30 off the regular price.

The size and shape of the speaker does not take up a lot of space. It has great sound quality and enough volume.

Awesome small bluetooth speaker, I bought 2 of those during festive sale event. I compared testing it with Bose minisound link speaker on same surface and look what I choose Sony over Bose first time !. Still I am unsure about its durability, as it is 2016 new launch. Specifically , its unique light weight, wireless pairing with second speaker, extra bass and the water resistant feature with an unbeatable price helped my selection.

The sound quality is amazing! I don't use it at full volume when it's just me in my room and it's still loud. one time I used it during a small hang out with my friends and it was loud enough. The Extra bass is good too and it has no problem pairing with my Galaxy phone or my HP laptop or an iPhone.

Initially, I bought a "black" version of this Sony SRS-XB2 speaker to go with my brand new Windows 10 laptop that I am using as many Bluetooth peripheral devices with as it makes sense to use at one time. I read into the information regarding the "Speaker Add Function - double mode, stereo mode", "DOUBLING" feature built into these Sony SRS-XB(#) series speakers. Being that I was SO impressed with the sound quality of my first Sony SRS-XB2 speaker, I jumped on buying another one the next time Best Buy had them on sale. ... AND I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! The second one I bought was in the "red" case, mainly so I'd always know which one needs to be charged next (which one was charged last), as well as, to take advantage of using the long-time audio engineering convention that the right channel sound of a stereo signal is supplied by the red "wire" and the left channel of a stereo signal is supplied by the black "wire". ... Red speaker is right channel, black speaker is left channel. ... Anyway, if you buy two, I highly recommend buying them in two different colors to avoid charging confusion later, even if you don't care about audio channel differentiation. Okay, here's what I know about the Sony SRS-XB2 speakers after having owned and used them for nearly four months now. : #1. Follow the instructions and charge the speaker(s) right-out-of-the-box! - NO MORE THAN 4 HOURS EVER. - The charging indicator light should always shut off in 2 to 3 hours of charging. I've been giving my speakers a full (maximum) 4 hour charge AFTER fully discharging them, and I plan on giving them at least 10 FULL charge/discharge cycles before I ever "short-charge" them "on-the-fly". - My experience has been that the least "full-charge" play-time that you can get out of one of these speakers is somewhere between 13 to 16 hours. === YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY depending on; your charging discipline, volume level usage and other environmental factors like heat and humidity, etc., etc., etc. FIRST TIME SET-UP & SOUND ADJUSTMENT TESTING SUGGESTIONS : The first time you set up one or two of these speakers, DO IT WITH THE BEST, cleanest, highest fidelity recording that you have available. A recording that you know really well AND have heard on home sound systems, AS WELL AS through GOOD over-the-ear headphones. - One of my best examples (and one of the first recordings I used for "set-up" testing) is: Nirvana - "MTV Unplugged in New York", because it's the kind of live, digital recording that is SO clear that you can hear the guitar pick's flexing noises as they hit the strings, one of my personal favorite hallmarks of a truly great live recording (along with bass drum pedal hinge noises). - NOTE: You really should use a "player" (software) that has a really effective graphic equalizer function, as well as, some type of noise cancellation processing to get the best sound out of these speakers, especially if you are going to use the "Extra Bass" button/feature of these speakers. ... You will probably want to take some of the bass response levels down so as not to overpower the mid-range and higher pitched sounds. MY GREATEST DISAPPOINTMENT REGARDING THESE SPEAKERS IS ... Very simply, as soon as you plug ANY device into the back of the speaker using the 3.5 mm stereo input receptacle, YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO PAIR THESE SPEAKERS. ... The Bluetooth signal transmitted from the speaker that enables the "pairing" with another SRS-XB2 speaker WILL BE CUT COMPLETELY. (--> Go to the Sony products support website to find the following (much more complete than the single page supplied in the box with speaker): "SONY Help Guide - Personal Audio System SRS-XB2" (.pdf Doc - "Help_4587625112"): P. 54, "If a portable audio device, etc. is connected to the AUDIO IN jack, the speaker automatically switches to AUDIO IN mode, and the Speaker Add function is terminated." <--) ... YOU MUST HAVE A DEVICE THAT SENDS A BLUETOOTH SIGNAL TO ONE SPEAKER IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO PAIR BOTH SPEAKERS USING THEIR BLUETOOTH "DOUBLING" FEATURES. A FEW MORE LISTENING HINTS : These speakers sound best when they are placed at ear level, at least 5 to 8 feet from your face and separated by no less than 5 feet from each other when "paired" using the "Speaker Add Function". These speakers also sound incredibly good when you place them at ear level on a pedestal (or shelf, etc.) about 2 to 5 feet behind your head. That's how I use them all day long, and when they're paired it's almost as good as wearing a pair of studio monitor, over-the-ear headphones, but without completely blocking out all the other sounds in your environment.

I never leave my house to go anywhere these days without taking my Bluetooth Speaker. This product is so compact, anyone can just put it in a bag and bring to the lake, boat, pool party, or just to use in the shower. The speaker is Water Resistant and goes with absolutely every homeowners decor. I still can't believe how affordable this great product is considering the amount of Bass and Sound you get. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE- most Bluetooth speakers will only let you pair just that one and that's it. Sony has made it to where you can buy 2 of these and pair them both so you can have one for the Left Side and one for the Right Side.. Myself and everyone else who hears this one thinks it's totally fine, but I am going to purchase another from BestBuy to make it a pair.. Best of all people, I was so surprised when I was offered to buy a 2 year plan, I jumped on that. I don't believe I'll need it but I like to be safe than sorry..

Walked into best buy to shop the black friday deals and was looking for wireless speakers for my sister. I have owned Bose and love my JBLs as well, so I was expecting to pick up either of those brands for my sister's present. While sampling the several types of bluetooth speakers in the store, I came across these Sonys that were half off at $49. I tested these XB2s playing some Passion Pit, a classical track and was blown away by the richness and quality of the sound from this little speakers. I picked up one and my dad, who happened to be with us for the holidays also bought one. After using it for a day just around the house we decided to go back to best buy to buy 2 more as gifts for the family. My dad and I were impressed at the volume, bass and the overall quality of sound that comes out of the XB2. We also connected 2 speakers together and it was amazing. If you like the sound of one XB2 you would love the sound of 2!

I have purchased six Bluetooth speakers recently, struggling to find one that suited my needs. I listen to music and podcasts at my desk. I'm not trying to rock the house, but I really wanted great sound quality and room-filling volume. It mostly sits on my desk, but I take it outside when I'm out with the dog, to the kitchen when I'm working on meals or cleaning, and into the bathroom at shower time. The last location being the big test. I didn't want to buy a single-task shower speaker, so I've been looking for one with enough volume and resonance to hear easily over the shower while it sits on the vanity. No issues with any of this. It's plenty loud with good bass and does not cut out when listening to podcasts or audio books. The wireless connection is easy and it has a range of about 25 feet from the transmitting device. This product performed exactly as I needed. Big sound. Great resonance. Portable.

This Bluetooth speaker is easy to hook up and pair with your devices but has a wonderful tone and sound quality. For the price it surpasses other higher rated speakers. It is small and transportable to other locations in the house and still maintains its pairing.

I never purchase anything without researching and comparing different items until I find what fits my needs. After narrowing my search, I did a side-by-side comparison with the Sony XB2, the JBL Charge 2 and the Cambridge Oontz Angle 3. The JBL Charge 2 was a close second, but the Sony XB2 won in all categories for me. I was blown away with how much sound pumped through these small speakers. It has really nice bass and clarity with more than ample volume to use indoor or outdoor. I love the sleek design that blends nicely with it's surroundings on a desk next to your pc or laptop, or sitting on patio table while hanging out with friends. If you're looking for a portable speaker that fits this criteria, you can not go wrong with the Sony XB2. If you're looking for a bit more sound and volume, move up to the Sony XB3...but I think you'll be more than happy with the quality and sound of the XB2.

This mini speaker packs a big sound! What I like best is the sound quality. Because of the Bass Boost the sound is not tinny or weak. It is a little heavy for a mini speaker but it is solid so it securely sits where you put it. Battery life is good. Great purchase!
