Excellent sounding speaker. When compared at local retailer side by side, the X3 definitely sounded better than the Bose soundlink. Bought the X3 and super happy with it. Sounds great up to about 70% volume, and anything louder will sound distorted, but it is plenty loud at 100%, enough to fill a small-medium sized bedroom. Contrary to popular belief, the X3 will charge through USB when music is playing, just the charging light won't turn on. This is confirmed in Sony's online help guide. Also love the fact that it's bigger than the new X33, and the X33 didn't really add anything useful to the table.

Bought this for my 8 year old sound is desent but the battery losses it's charge pretty quick don't know if it's normal or I got a defective one. But overall a decent little speaker

I bought the Sony X3 for $100 during the 2014 Black Friday / pre- Christmas sale period with an additional factory rebate of $30. It is my go-to speaker. I tried numerous small bluetooth speakers and this was the best quality/value. It is solid, very portable, has very good sound quality and volume, and is easy to sync with the iPad. The BB sales rep said the speaker has never blown out unlike the Bose mini. I have bought 3 speakers. The Harman Kardon Onyk ($399) is a large speaker with the best sound. Second best was the Bose ($299). The Sony X3 was the 3rd best sound quality but the one I use most frequently because of portability and sound quality. I highly recommend it. The Best Buy daily deal of $69.99 is a phenomenal buy.

I exchange my Bose mini soundlink for this product and I love the way this speaker sounds! Great lows mids and highs! The surround sound function is amazing! This product can definitely compete with the mini link I think it plays a lot louder and has more function capabilities.

I've tried almost every bluetooth speaker under the sun, and I found that sony makes the most all around reliable. I had the SRS-X5 and loved it. But the whole touch sensitive buttons made it feel too fancy for outdoor use. I decided to give the SRS-X3 a shot, and I'm sold! I love them, they are perfect for annoying my neighbors while I'm out in my yard. I listen to a lot of bass heavy music (usually some sort of dance music) and it delivers! Also when I'm feeling belting out a good power ballad, the clarity is unbelievable. **Side note** my music source I use to listen to music is a Sony Xperia Z1S , and I mess around with the Equalizer/Clear+/Surround settings for the perfect sound. I really wanted this speaker! But, it arrived broken

Pros: - Sounds amazing for the size - Great bass for the size - NFC Cons: - No multi-point pairing - Battery only lasts 5hrs - Slow charging while in use. Notes: While many reviews not just in bestbuy but many other sites state that these speakers won´t charge while in use, the truth is that they do charge. They just won´t charge as fast as when they are off (the charging light won´t turn on however as I mentioned they do charge), the manual states this as well. Additionally the manual says that the speakers won´t charge if the volume is too loud while charging, I have not tested this but I have tested that they do charge if used at around half the volume though slowly.

This is a great Bluetooth speaker for people who love to listen to RAP,HIP-HOP,RNB,BUBSTEP,K-POP the speaker has a great amount of bass and if the bass is too high just hit the sound button and it makes all the music sound equal overall SONY has made another great speaker with up to 7hours of battery life and the speaker is made out of metal which gives it a good amount of weight that tells people it is not a cheap speaker. P.S speaker also comes with NFC if your phone supports it if not you have the regular Bluetooth connect option if you don't have Bluetooth you can also use the auxiliary in method

I have always had so much good music and playlist on my IPhone and IPad. Since apparently I am somewhat challenged by how to operate these systems I have had to rely on my children to load my devices and I had to use headphones or jacks to enjoy the music. At the Best Buy store it took me maybe 10 seconds, 15 at the most, to pair my IPhone to the Sony speaker they had set up on display. I immediately played some Grateful Dead, Kid Rock and some of my other music. the sound quality was very good. It is so easy to use and it's mobility means I can play my music anywhere. (and avoid having to listen to the "music" kids like.

This is amazing! i was surprise how this speaker can produce such great sound quality. i got this for $59.99 for sale on best buy and original price was $129 what a deal..the sound like other reviews they are right they sound like bose it great cant beat the price

This speaker is great overall! I was lucky enough to get it for $59 due to a pricing error on the shelf coupled with an excellent customer service rep who made sure I got what I came for!. It provides a fantastic sound with lots of bass and clarity and sounds like a full system in my 1 bedroom apartment! I tend to take it from room to room as I move about (by habit), but you can definitely leave it in a central spot and be just fine. When you press the "sound" button it really does change and brighten the overall sound of what you are listening to. I was pleasantly surprised with the phone function and I now use it to take all of my calls while at home because people have always had difficulty hearing me clearly on my Samsung Galaxy S5 :-( You should know that, on a full charge, the speaker will last about 6-7 hours. This is fine as long as you remember to plug it in while you're away so that it will be ready when you return, as I use mine EVERY moment while I am home to listen to Pandora. My only gripe is that is does not charge while the unit is on. You have to power it down in order for it to charge, effectively missing out on entertainment. That is the one and only drawback that I can mention. Other than that, it is well worth the money spent!

When I opened the box, I was disappointed at how small it is for the price I paid for it. I was, however, very pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Turns out it's really great and the small size is perfect for me....very easy to take with you anywhere.

I've connected this to my Macbook, iPhone and iPad and they all sound great. This has good bass and music sounds good on it. I also use the audio in to listen to my TV at my desk because it's mounted on the wall and the audio from this speaker sounds a lot better from this speaker. It took a long time for the initial charge, but because it's always at my desk, I just charge it from time to time and if I'm watching TV for a long time, I'll leave it plugged in.

This bluetooth speaker is a great deal. Especially for the sale price of $60 puts out more sound than you would expect for its size. And has a decent amount of bass for how big it is.

Absolutely love this. As a college student, I use it in my dorm and it can easily be heard down the hall. Easy to connect to, good size, and perfect sound with bass!

Bought this one on sale to have something better than built-in speakers to listen to at work. It blew my expectations out of the water. The sound is clean, whether you use bluetooth or the AUX in. I started using the AUX in to save power on my phone, and it's great that the speaker gave me the option. The only downside is that I can't adjust the bass separately. On bass heavy songs, I worry about disturbing my office neighbors.

Purchase this speaker when only $60 - it is an older version but sound great. 20W made a big difference from my old Bluetooth speaker - most of those in the $50-60 range are only 6W. I only wish I could get a storage case for it still.

I have been using this product since 3 months. I haven't incur any problem at all. This BT speaker rocks whenever needed. Give pleasant sound quality & clarity. You will enjoy this product. However I am not able to find cover to protect from water or humidity. Else you can always enjoy outing with this nice piece.

Got this in a deal for $59. Deal is still on as I write this review. Did not have a lot of expectation. Very good sound quality. Comparable to JBL - Charge 2+ Portable Wireless or Bose Sound Link Mini. Pairs well with Bluetooth or NFC. Need to use it more to see how the battery backup is.
