I bought this on sale and at $150, this is in my opinion every bit on par with more expensive Bose products. This absolutely blows away Beats Pill and UE Boom 2 for sound quality and bass response. I can't speak for longevity as yet since I've only had it two months or so. It is easy to use and synced up to my iPhone 6 without any issues.

I was looking for a good sounding portable speaker to use when listening to music through my laptop at home. Visiting my local Best Buy, I liked the sound, price, and clean design of this Sony model and decided to give it a try. It works great, has good battery life, and is a big improvement over the laptop speakers. Very satisfied.

Bought this speaker and was excited to have a nice sounding Bluetooth speaker from Sony. Price wasnt bad, and i wasnt wiling to bump up to a Bose. Long story short, I've had to return 2 of the speakers. The first one worked for a week, then the passive radiators stopped working. So the bass, which is quite good, suffered drastically when the radiators failed. Returned the first speaker for another. The passive radiators never worked in this one. Took it back for a 3rd speaker. Now im just waiting for it to fail. Thankfully i have the warranty. If this one fails, i suppose I'll have to upgrade to the Bose. Best Buy was great during all of this. Just really disappointed in Sony. I love Sony, but this experience has not been a good one.

I originally bought the Bose Soundlink III. I was so disappointed I returned it the same day. I have a friend who owns the Bose Soundlink Mini and I liked its sound, at least with acoustic music, where bass is less pronounced. So, I thought I'd buy a Mini until I read reviews saying the Sony SRX-S55's sound is comparable quality but with more and better bass. Man, am I glad I went with the Sony. The reviews were spot on. It's a small package with big sound, very good bass, great clarity and separation, low distortion, and with excellent battery life. I recommend it.

Reading reviews (check out CNET) and listening real life demo made me jump into this sound box. As a budding audiophile, Sony has been catching my attention and sometimes, surprises me. Didn't think much of this box until I heard it myself. It simply has a really full sound stage and well balanced mid and highs. The bass is present but not overpowering. The build and quality is what you would expect from Sony. The only gripe I have is that there is no included carrying case and also wished that this was powered via USB like its smaller cousin in the same product line. Skip the other heavily marketed products and try this underrated player by Sony. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

I bought this bluetooth speaker for mom to replace a set of speakers that no longer worked. The sound is amazing! For a small, portable speaker, this has better sound than most full size speakers. Easy to set up, easy to use, and it's not too big. I'm thinking about buying one for myself!

I love this speaker it's very easy to set up and use. I use it everywhere since its size makes it convenient to take and to listen any type of music you would like. I just regret I did not get it before. It's worth it.

Bought this after extensive reading of buyer as well as professional quality reviews at various sites. Compared with Bose (as a benchmark) as well as other leading excellent names and chose this. The bass and mid/high frequency response lived up to or exceeded the expectation I had earlier developed after reading the reviews and was amazed by the quality of sound as well as the power. Remember, speaker placement is very important to maximize the sound quality and capability of the speaker because of rear passive radiators. For maximimum enjoyment the rear should be near a wall or a wall corner to reflect the low frequencies. (Have been crazy about audiophile quality sound, used to read speaker design books in childhood and later owned equipment (selected after research via audiophile magazines and listening to equipment in special sound booths with wall cones etc) from other quality manufacturers in those days like Klipsch, Nakamichi, Yamaha etc.)

The Sony SRS -X55 is a solid performer which delivers solid bass and quality tone considering how small the sp America is. I use it everyday and am quite pl awed with it

Amazing sound and ease of use. This has been a fantastic buy. Wish I had bought it earlier. Researched it a lot and came down to this and th Bose Sound link mini. This was cheaper and had better sound. I would buy this again and highly recommend it.

I got this for my dad for Christmas. He loves it. It's a great stereo that he can use in the house, outside while cleaning the yard, or when we go camping!! It has great volume and the music is clear when it comes out of the speaker

This was a great purchase. I like how it easily connects to other Bluetooth devices and how it can be used as a charger and a speaker for your phone. The sound quality is also great. I have absolutely no regrets with this purchase.

We wanted to attach an old apple product to a speaker since we wanted to hear the music on it. They no longer make products for that but the sales associate assured us this would work and it does. Convenient and excellent sound. Added feature was port to power phone or tablets.

The best Bluetooth speaker on the market. It has great audio quality for a speaker so small. It is very easy to set up and use. I use it at work and it last all day long on one charge.

Great speaker for the price. It's a little heavy on the bass at times, but that suits my tastes just fine. Stays charged for a long time as well. No complaints here.

After listening to many of the BT speakers in the store, this by far sounded the best. Especially powerful bass for such a small unit. Excellent value for the unit.

Speaker was the right price and the sound is fantastic, also can use your phone through the speaker which is nice, also have a very long battery life

This speaker works great at answering phone calls, it also has great sound in most rooms. The bass is great on it. I would defiantly buy it again.

Originally this cop Mayeye as a Christmas gift for someone, but the size and excellent sound quality convinced me to keep it for myself instead!

Super sound quality and dynamic and range. Great battery life. Expensive but rIvals similar Bose products with its superior sound quality.
