I wanted a Bluetooth speaker that had full sound and the Sony SRS55 exceeded my expectations. I have two smaller Bluetooth speakers that were satisfactory when used inside but weren't loud enough for use outside on the patio. The Sony works extremely well outside, plenty of volume, full range sound and very good bass.

I bought two of these and wish I had bought three (Christmas special)! Great, full sound. Charges your phone. Easy to transport to use out of the house. Did I say FULL SOUND? Kids enjoy movies on the laptop much more now, too. Can use it while charging, though charge lasts several days for us. Great sound!

I like this Bluetooth speaker because it is good for a small spaces and when you do not need a music very loud. I have a Bluetooth speaker from other brand, but this is better, has higher volume. It is work perfectly when you are with friends, and you want to hear music but at the same time. Have a conversation.

I walked in to the store to purchase a JBL, but the display model for that product was not functioning. So I decided to listen to displays of competing models. This Sony came in the least flashy of all boxes (a plain white box, with very few details), but from listening to the display, it seemed like the best sounding of all products under $250. And now, having this speaker for more than a month, I have not been disappointed.

This is super easy to use and has great sound. It is very portable and can be taken wherever.

I was looking for a reasonably priced Bluetooth speaker so I could listen to music of my choice, i.e., CDs that I had ripped onto my computer and then synced to my Bluetooth tablet. After reading several reviews (professional and personal) I knew that the Sony Bluetooth Portable Speaker was the one to purchase. It is easy to operate and has great sound comparable to the very expensive speakers.
