    DAC Reviews FTW

Pros: -- Like any DAC, it converts digital source to analog, it improves the analog part to the headphones, and reproduce the sound at a higher bit rate. Analog is usually receiving 8 bit or 8 inputs for sounds through a normal analog source. This DAC would output from 8 bits to 16 or 32 bits, reproducing the same sounds, but giving it more precision. All headsets are receiving signals in a manner which is analog. The DAC spits out 16 or 32 bits for sounds at the headsets at any frequency rate. Even if the highest frequency is 60khz or higher, the DAC is spitting outs at a frequency of 48 kHz to 192 kHz. -- The analog source feeding sounds through this DAC will change the sounds when you hear it. -- Battery life is long and it doesn't take along time to charge the DAC. -- DAC is fully charged when I received the product. -- Product is lite and well constructed. It doesn't scratch easily and it feels like a light weight aluminum. -- Parts of the DAC feel like it has a grippe feeling. So it won't slide out of your hand. -- Back part of the DAC can take in Analog or Digital Inputs, but not both at the same time. -- Apple Thunderbolt Cable (basic cable for charging) will allow this product to work and transmit songs digitally to the DAC with an iphone. -- Product has a boost signal gain on the side that makes the songs sound louder across all frequencies. This option causes the DAC to push headsets with a transducer of 600 ohms at max volume. -- It is easy to operate. -- The unit doesn't get warm or hot while it charges or after long use. -- I feel this product is ideal for an on-the-go, high quality sound reproduction product. Cons: -- If you feed an analog signal through the back with a 3.5 mm jack, it will output the 3.5 mm jack port in the front, but on the single 3.5 mm out only. -- I believe the DSEE HX isn't working unless your source is connect to this DAC with a Toslink. If it's on, and you're using an Apple Thunderbolt Cord to USB or an Analog cord, it won't make any noticeable changes to the sound it replicates. -- Only a digital source like the Apple Cord or a USB will allow the DAC to replicate the signal through the balanced dual 3.5 mm jack outputs on the front of the DAC.. -- DSD light or Hi-FS won't light up with a USB or 3.5 mm cord source. This might be another feature that requires a toslink (aka optical cable) through the back for the source. -- Severely pricey product.
