I had concerns about the quality of the background noise , after my Greek Squad rep adjusted it to remove the background noise I can now enjoye the system and hear the announcers must more clearly .

Just the right amount of bass!!!

The bass is more than I expected! I thought I was going to have to get the a larger subwoofer but this subwoofer is getting the job done and very well I do say!! The balance of just the right amount of bass and the smooth rich full sound is just right for my master bed room, bass is not too boomy which is good, I don't want to disturb the neighbors!! Pleased with this purchase!

Too pricey for the performance it gives

The bass it delivers is the same as a bar with subwoofer of 200 dollars, the bass is not real clean as others perform, my polk subwoofer in my living room cost me 200 dollars more but out performs this sony subwoofer by 20 times at least. I love how the bar 8 sounds but this subwoofer not a good match, maybe the other one that cost 700 will do justice

Great addition to an HTA soundbar

I have it connected via Bluetooth to an HTA 5000 soundbar. Easy connection, small unit and puts out enough bass for most material. I wish the soundbar could connect up to a real sub, but it can’t, so you get two choices, this one or the bigger brother for $700. The Bluetooth connectivity is awesome, which is convenient. Don’t expect flor shaking rumbles but it does add punch.

Mixed my reviews, returned this product. Didn't.

It's adds extra sound and is wonderful! I returned this soaker box item as the TV and sound bar were pretty great and i didn't need this item. However, some friends and a neighbor had this product and they are quite badly with it. It's clear without any static.
