Most of my viewing experience comes with streaming media and this subwoofer hasn't really made much of a difference. Perhaps it will have more of an impact with physical media playback.

Thank you for the review and we do apologize for the inconvenience. The bass sound quality will depend in the source that you're playing. The subwoofer is designed for playback of bass sound. If the input sources contain very little bass sound components, the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. You can check the subwoofer sound by emitting the test tone. You can also set the night mode to off. For details, refer to the operating Instructions supplied with a compatible

Bass kicks but wont last long!! GET THE WARRANTY

Very happy at first with the product. Up until a year from purchase it started to act up and kept disconnecting with the soundbar. Then the subwoofer wouldnt turn on anymore. I contacted sony and because the subwoofer was out of warranty by a month they couldnt do anything. Not worth the price. I’ve researched the subwoofer and appartently numerous people have had same issues with this model. If youre gonna buy it get the warranty.

Hooked it up - obviously not as powerful as the larger subwoofer but does the job in a 12x15 room. Would recommend for certain situations.

Needed a little more
