The more apps you connect to it the faster it drains your cellphone battery

I just bought this to compare with Gear 2 . I think Gear is better.

it look me 5 mins to get to anything after touching it 10 times.

While NFC didn't work to pair with my HTC M7, paired easily when using Bluetooth. closer look to a regular watch because of the metal band, but band still felt cheap and felt like a toy watch. Awesome when it came to notifying of incoming calls, messages and other tasks.

This was a waste of time and money. The battery got to 50% after two days and then it just dies completely!

This thing is awful. The screen sucks. No apps. I bought the samsung gear 2 neo instead. Way better.

Not worth the money. Ended up taking the second watch back. Doesn't do much. Save your money.

So at first glance this watch really looks nice. I got the totally stainless steel watch because I heard the 'plastic' version of it had problems with the pins wearing out the holes. Resulting in the pin for the watchband coming out repeatedly. Ive had the watch 2 weeks now and this had NOT happened in the stainless steel version. I must also say that it was around 60 dollars more than the plastic one. The watchband that comes with the stainless steel watch is nice however there was a small adjustment period where I had to endure the hair being ripped out of my wrist because of the watchband. Its better now... The play store has many apps however most of them I don t see the need for. There's certainly also a lot of apps out there that do a lot and change a little and then there are apps that charge a lot and do a little. My suggestion is to take advantage of two things. 1. Read the app reviews like you are doing now and 2. Google lets you get a refund (Not sure about time limits) so that if it does do a little and charge a lot you can still maybe get a refund and download a more popular one. There are almost no apps installed when you get the watch. However there is a list of popular apps which displays in the smartwatch interface on your mobile device which you can click and download things like calendar notification, a dialer (Which is cool with a bt headset because there is no speaker which was fine by me), and a couple others that would be useful. (fb/twitter/gmail etc) I am not a business person but I enjoy having the instant notification and the choice weather to look at the watch at all or to glace or possibly even take out my phone and answer a fb msg or something. Its also very nice for phone calls. I almost never miss one now. There is also an app for the smartwatch that I utilize which you have to install that will change your profile on your mobile device to silent or any other setting you wish when the watch is connected. When its not connected it would to to loud on the mobile device. This has really worked well for me. The not so great category is kinda broad. You gotta keep in mine this is like an old motorola phone in the development stage. It will and had gotten better. The battery last for me a day and a half. I do get a lot of tweets and fb msgs through the day which you can shut off depending on your preferences. The connection on my device was used through bluetooth. I find that maybe 10 times or more a day it disconnects and reconnects. And that's not counting when I walk away from my phone. So. This is what I thought up and I know sony wont get this so who knows right? I think there should be an option (at least) to shut off JUST the vibrate on the connection and disconnect of the watch. This would save battery and mind numbing confusing once you figure out that some programs make the watch go nuts. Or at least that was my experience. In closing I would like to say. If you want this watch then get it. Its nice and it does alot of things. But shop around the different watches and read more reviews.

Needed a watch. Decided on the Smartwatch 2. It has great battery life and lots of cool features. It also looks nice. I just wish there was more development for it and had say a mic for calls. But for the price of $199 I feel its a good buy.

I purchased the Sony Smart watch 2 in January 2014 and I have so far had the best experience with it. Its great for work, has a nice look to it, and is water resistant. There are hundred's of apps to download for all your needs. I also use it for run tracking. This is the best smart watch out there for android devises.

I have a Sony Xperia Z Ultra I was using with this watch. The watch performed very well before my phone's latest software update to Android 4.4.4. Now the Call Handling extension crashes the connection between the watch and phone whenever I try to select a contact on the watch. The most useful function of this watch, the Call Handling app, is broken in the latest Android software. I've used this watch with a Galaxy S3 with Android 4.4.4 and the exact same issue happens on it also. So Sony needs to update the Call Handling app or the phone software before this watch will return to being useful.

If anything at all this is just a cool watch . There are a lot of apps to download though some cost $$. I really like the feel and looks of this watch. The screen is crisp and clear for my tastes. I bought the metal bracelet version and it fits my wrist perfectly. I am a big guy so maybe for the average wrist it would be too large. There is a rubberized band which would fit more wrist sizes. I like the added applications, especially the ability to play music from the watch and games. My only gripe was that for me it was a bit hard to sync and I do not have a NFC chip in my phone. However I synced this with my tablet easily and then it was automatically synced with my phone via bluetooth. I would recommend this watch but do not take it too seriously. I do not use the apps all that much but they are a kick to download and they download easily. For me it is just a cool watch that does few extra things too. Worst case scenario is you have a cool looking watch on your wrist.

This is a great watch. I use it with my Samsung S4 and it works great. I get all the notifications and can even buy my Starbucks coffee with it. Only thing I can't do is answer phone calls. Other than that, I love the watch.
