Customers often highlight the impressive battery life, vibrant screen, and convenient notifications as key strengths of the product. They appreciate the water resistance and increased customizability after the latest update. However, some users express concerns about the limited NFC functionality, which reportedly only works with Sony phones, and the weight of the device, finding it too heavy for their liking.

I bought this watch after much research and user feedback and for the price it does as advertised.... It can get a lil annoying due to the band keeps pulling on the hair on my wrist, but I can overlook it. I like the stainless steel look to it, the only drawback I have is that it doesn't have a way to make voice notes. If you want something simple without breaking the bank, this watch is what you need

Best Smart Watch on the market!

After shopping and comparing Samsung's and Pebble's smartwatch, I bought Sony's smart watch 2. The Samsung watch only paired with Samsung devices and although attractive screen, the watch band was uncomfortable. Samsung's watch was too gimmicky and having a camera was overkill. The Pebble Smart Watch was too clunky and the software, although plentiful and independently developed was primitive.
The Sony Smart Watch 2 has been a great choice. It has a simple, easy to use interface and setting it up to sync with my Android mobile phone was easy and intuitive. I blue tooth paired it with an HTC One and also used the NFC quick connection as described in the directions. The software selections in the Android Market is growing and the current selections bring a lot of utility to the smart watch. The ability to see and respond to phone calls and texts without taking out the phone is great for discretion in the workplace. The software allows editable responses as well as text as you go. Some software is free, others are a few dollars... What I have found useful : Calendar, Smart Camera, Calculator, Wristin (handles notifications), Power Amp (music controller), Smart Notes, Weather, Endomondo (run tracker).
Battery life is 3-4 days and charges with an included micro USB cable in about 1/2 hour. The standard stainless steel watch band is rugged yet comfortable and is easily changeable with a standard watch band. I recommend using the standard watch face choices and not the third party software available on the Android Market. The reviews of the third party watch faces state that they drain the battery too fast. The watch Is water resistant, not waterproof. I wish the watch had either Gorilla Glass or Sapphire glass but I am using a scree protector found on Amazon. The watch is a great value at it's current price.

I am able to receive alerts for calls and messages without my phone ringing during meetings, while shopping or eating out.. If a call is important, I can get up and take it elsewhere. If emails demand attention, then I can reply on my cell.
Most convenient; however, I am a small person so I had the band replaced with a tan leather one. It looks trendy, the time is digital- for me- and light with the new band..

This watch is really good for seeing your notifications without having to access your phone. I see all my incoming texts, Twitter and Facebook feeds. It also has a few apps of it's own. As far as the battery I couldn't be happier, It will fully charge from dead in less than 15 minutes and usually lasts for 3 days before needing charged again.

Sony Smart Watch 2 is an excellent device, works flawless, connects ultra easy, plenty of smart apps
apps, water resistant is always welcome, better display than the competition
Only disappointment is no mic to do voice control or reply to texts when device is out of reach, on board camera is not necessary

There are quite a few good features about this little gadget. I love that it vibrates when I get a phone call. I can read my emails and stay ahead of the curve. I can read my texts and see who calls, but I cannot respond anything but a simple smiley face or pre-made messages. I would maybe wait it out until the Google Now watches come out, but this is fun for now.

I purchased this smartwatch as a replacement for my Fitbit Force - due to recall. I had hoped to utilize this for both smart functions as well as fitness tracking. I was a bit disappointed to discover the limited fitness capabilities, but am still quite happy with the watch. It works with my Samsung Note 3 beautifully and is highly customizable thanks to all of the applications available for it.
A:AnswerThe phone does not have to be in your pocket (or purse), and the distance you can stray from the phone seems to vary. I have a GS3 with a custom ROM, and the previous ROM required me to be within 30-35 feet of the phone before disconnecting. With a newer custom ROM I just installed, it seems to have doubled the distance (at least to 40-50 feet). So your phone's bluetooth must be a factor.
One you go past the distance, your watch buzzes twice to let you know. The watch still functions as a watch, and automatically reconnects again when you are back in distance (and buzzes you twice again).
I believe there is even an extension that helps you find your phone (haven't used it).
A:AnswerUnfortunately it is not compatible with apple. The only watches compatible with apple are the microsoft band and pebble til the apple watch comes out.
A:AnswerRight now you must have Android 4.1. I think that Apple has blocked them from releasing the app in the app store because it is something that directly competes with their inferior watch concept.
