This speaker creates great sound from a small package. Battery time is pretty decent if you turn off the lights.

This is a great speaker for the price. Sony usually has great products and this is another one. It puts out a lot of sound and has very nice tones and bass.

Sound Quality is far better than I expected, it can give you that deep bass on such a small speaker I use it at work and around the yard, Smart Buy for your money

This speaker may be small but the sounds that comes out are extremely loud especially when u don’t want to tote around a speaker n equipment attachments

High volume for personal use. Compact, light weight and stylish. Not recommended for parties where you want to crank up the volume . But fantastic for small gatherings

-=+First Impressions+=- It looks visually appealing. This feels solidly built. It looks nice and offers deep bass if you are into that. This model lacks the cool lighting effects of the others in the XB family, but it performs surprisingly well for its size. It is waterproof so I can take it to the pool or a BBQ and not have to worry about it. If offers a corny sound effect system (Party Booster Mode) in which you can add sounds to what you are listening to… just not for me but I won't dock it for trying something new. I had some trouble pairing the speaker through the app. For some reason it would say the speaker wasn't paired when it was and I had to disconnected it a few times to get the app to work. Use it like a regular speaker without the Sony Music Center app and it works just fine. Build 5/5 Built like an amphibious tank but not as ugly. I do not worry about this thing breaking and it offers waterproofing for added protection. Sound 4/5 It is the typical Sony sound profile. It sounds loud and bassy but does not accurately represent highs and mids well once you go past 60% volume. Features 5/5 =NFC Pairing - simple one tough pairing. =Battery Life - roughly 24 hours to keep you going. =Built SOLID - Waterproof (IP67), dustproof, shockproof (MIL-STD 810 F Method 516.5) and rustproof. Need I say more? =Wireless Daisy Chaining - when you get this to work it is great. I struggled to get the app to establish a reliable connection and it force closed a lot. Maybe an update will fix this. =Grippy - the finish is conducive to a safer hold. Pros +Battery Life - rated at 12 hours, I never had to charge it the same day during use. +Grippy - it is perfect to grip and I never felt I would drop it because of the finish and "squishy" build. +Connectivity Options - Offers headphone jack along with bluetooth +Tank Build - Waterproof (IP67), dustproof, shockproof (MIL-STD 810 F Method 516.5) and rustproof. Need I say more? LOL +Buttons - there are physical controls so you don't have to touch your phone for everything. Cons -App - the app is TERRIBLE! It often crashes when you try to group speakers. I tried grouping the XB41 and XB21 and it force closed every time. You need a few things to change sounds and colors to your liking too. -Sound - I was underwhelmed by the sound. It is bass heavy but quickly distorts with volume. Sound is not accurately represented but this is more of a fun speaker than an audiophile's dream. -Old Style Charging - You need to charge using a charge block rather than micro USB like other speakers. If you lose this, you will not be able to charge your speaker without buying another charger. The Verdict I cannot 100% say this is for everyone. If you are a Sony Fan and already have other Sony speakers you will probably like this. It has plenty of things to keep you busy and it is fun for a party for sure. At this price point, for sound quality alone, I would say there are better options out there.

I can't say enough great things about this speaker. It is light weight. Perfect for traveling. And the sound quality is better than some of the more expensive speakers.

I have the X60, which is the larger Sony speaker, this one syncs to in seamlessly. I got this on for travel. when friends have the same type they all sync.

I got this in blue. Great sound and long charge life. I did a lot of research and chose this and I am glad I did!
