With me loving bass and traveling more often even while deployed. I rather reach for these than just earbuds. The headphone won’t get lost or confused easily and supply just the right punch for bass. I’ve had the older Dre beats and their bass / music would be able to be heard out of the headwear. I wanted something different that would let me keep my hearing at least while I’m still young. I also enjoy the app letting me have little achievements to earn!

You have to spend $200 more to even step up into the next class of headphones. The sound reproduction on these Sony Headphones. I am a picky audiophile with not a large purse. You will not go wrong with these Sony Headphones!! This Pair of Sony - ULT WEAR Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones replaced my Sony MDR-ZX110 which are still fine. I needed a second pair so thought I would step it up. The ULT Wear are superior.

My Experience After Owning two units

Hopefully this helps others understand what may happen over time. 1. First Unit I bought my first pair and within about two months, the headphones started randomly disconnecting and reconnecting from my devices. It eventually became unusable. When I took them to Best Buy, I was told that this issue was not considered a manufacturer defect, so Sony’s warranty wouldn’t cover it. Best Buy replaced the unit only because I had a protection plan. 2. Second Unit I used the replacement for around 10–11 months. Over time, the same intermittent disconnection issue returned (though not as severely), and I didn’t pursue it further because I expected the same explanation. Later, the adjustment rail on the right side began to wear down and eventually broke. This directly affected comfort and fit, since that piece is what holds the headphones securely on your head. Warranty Experience with Sony Since I had already used the Best Buy protection plan, I contacted Sony directly. I submitted photos and a repair request. Sony responded that the broken adjustment rail was considered a cosmetic issue, and therefore not covered under warranty. I explained that the break affects the core function — wearing the headphones — but the response did not change. I was then told that Sony determined the damage was caused by “excessive force.” I never dropped the headphones and there are no dents or marks to suggest misuse. I requested to speak with a manager, but that request was not acknowledged. The final resolution offered was to purchase a replacement unit for $152. Final Thoughts I’ve been a loyal Sony customer for years (TVs, camcorder, etc.), so this response was disappointing. I also want to be fair: I genuinely liked the sound quality and the noise canceling — both were excellent when I needed them most. My goal is not to discourage anyone outright, but to set expectations. If you encounter similar issues (and I think you will) — especially structural or connectivity-related — be aware that they may not be treated as warranty-covered problems. I hope this helps others make a more informed decision.
