Seeking yard filling sound, karaoke and bluetooth connectivity, I initially was looking to purchase the ION Tailgaiter wireless speaker which was on sale for $99. For $50 more the Sony V-11 offered a second microphone port, MP3 capable CD player and more powerful sound - but I gave up the luxury of a rechargeable battery and simple portability. At the end of the day, I'm ok with my choice. The V-11 has met my expectations. The only issue I've had, and I have yet to look into it, was the USB connection is not recognizing my iPad or iPhone (though it is charging them). I am using a mini-USB to lighting adaptor that may not be configured for data transfer, so that may be on me. Sound is GREAT! Bass is powerful and, at about half the volume, easily fills the yard with sound. Actually, it's too loud at 50%. The karaoke options are fun, allowing you to somewhat drown out the vocals on many original tunes. Bluetooth is Karaoke's best friend and the mic options are what you would need and expect from a solid karaoke machine. Overall, a very good purchase that I would recommend.

We bought this unit to use indoors and outside while on vacation. It is light enough to carry, and has a notch for easy portability, which we appreciate. We use it with radio, Pandora, our MP3's, and CD's. The instructions are a bit lacking so we had to call Sony to find out how to use our MP3 players with all the usual features. (will play on USB but you can't choose your songs or play on shuffle). Sony got back to us quickly, told us which cable we would need, and how to hook it up. Now it does everything we need. As far as sound it is better than an average boombox but not as good as a stereo sound system. It would be better if it could play on battery power, you must be where you can plug it in. Still perfect for our needs.

This two way system has bluetooth, a CD tray for 1 CD to play, a USB port, and FM. It is supplied with a power cable and a FM antenna. Perfectly mobile. If your arm has any strength in it at all, then you can lift it. The system sounds good as a stand alone however, it can be chained to another one for even louder and and better sound. I would and will buy another one of these great products.

Love this speaker. CD, flash drive, bluetooth and radio. Many options, not to mention the light show. Sounds great, clear highs and mids along with deep bass. Love this speaker!

I purchased this unit because I wanted a powered speaker with RCA inputs to run a turntable without a receiver, as I had streamlined my home audio set-up and wanted something sleek and simple. This fit the bill perfectly. Super easy to set up and serves my intended purpose. Not well-suited for the audiophiles out there, but I think given the specs and price point that is a given. But for the casual listener or someone who wants a quick/easy configuration, this is great. I found the default light display a bit annoying, but you can disable that easily enough with the remote. Ditto for the auto-sleep setting, which I saw some previous complaints about. You’ll definitely want to turn that off, unless you enjoy pressing the power button every ten minutes to resume play. Overall, for the price and ease of set-up/general use, I would definitely recommend this product. I only shaved off a star because the sound quality is not fantastic (but it’s certainly not terrible either).

We use this speaker inside and occasionally carry outside for music by the pool. The speaker is nice and loud with a blue light that makes the night life more entertaining. Features my family love are the Bluetooth, sound, attachable microphone (not included), and light weight for ease of transporting. Features we do not like are low visibility display, difficulty tuning from one station to another (takes a long time), and no individual button to search/tune. I would still recommend this to a friend, but maybe at a better price (paid $250 plus tax).

Bought this speaker cause I still have a ton a cds and this was one of the only ones I had that had a CD player too. Speaker very clear and loud.

Stereo is nice. Not as loud as our last one but it works. Takes up much less space. For our needs it is fine.

This speaker is good for parties in decent sized spaces- the one I'm using it for is about 3000 square feet. It has a great sound, pairs with bluetooth easily, accepts Mic input, etc. My one complaint is that in the era of screen the only display is an old clock style LCD that doesn't even display song name for MP3s.

Bought this little speaker for my daughters party and it was great! It's light enough to move around and packs a lot of sound. It's not bulky so it fits perfectly in the corner. It has one blue light in the front but if you want light affects you could easily buy a disco ball. Either way it was a great buy!

This speaker can really fill a room. The mic inputs sound great and dont interfer with the music playback. The bluetooth connection is how most people will use this. If you are paying full price you will be disappointed that it doesnt have a battery option to it.

I used this particular boombox for my wedding reception at the beach and it was great. It had sound control and the bass effect was awesome. You can even use it as a karaoke.

Home audio was awesome !! My husband loves it we use it for family gatherings . Audio is loud!!!! I would have like it better if it was cord less but it does the magic ,Very happy with purchase !

Has great sound. Pretty loud. Has fm radio, bluetooth works seamlessly. Thinking about buying a second one to link them together which is possible with this model.

This speaker is awesome. Have had it for some time now and still works as new. Use it often on Bluetooth function. Loud enough for outdoor bbq.

The setup wAS fast and easy. The sound is great and the controls are very easy to use. The Bluetooth was extremely easy and worked beautifully.

Nice little unit that has some pretty decent sound, Radio, USB ports, CD Player and even has Mic capability for karaoke.........

We can't stop singing. Total hit for the Christmas party. Could be used as a PA system, music player or karaoke machine. The unlimited access to any karaoke song available on the internet is amazing! No need for disks or chips. Only down fall so far is the machine turns itself off after a period of time. Need to read the instructions to see if this feature is adjustable. It was so simple to set up that the manual was tossed on the side so we could start singing!

After 2 ION bluetooth speakers and one Edison speaker, I thought I would try this Sony unit. The others didn’t last a tear. I hope I have better luck with this one. The sound is O K. Needs more base. It would have been nice if it had a rechargeable battery. It is cumbersome and not easily portable and it’s heavy. The bluetooth pais quickly and the remote is handy.
