It was Geek squad certified open box, but the rattle may have developed after they certified it. I had to take it back.

While we're happy that you like most of the features, especially the amazing sound quality, we are so sorry that you have received your audio system with rattling sound or the speaker vibrates everytime you moved it. This definitely not the buying experience we want our customers to have.
Several things could be considered causing your system to rattle. We recommend to move the unit to a place with no vibration. If the rattling proceeds even when the system is moved in another place which aren't subject to vibration, and you tried another audio source, in this case, the unit may require service.
We regret to know that the unit had to be returned. We have taken note of your issues and will forward your feedback to the proper team.

You are absolutely right, the V71 is great for BBQs! We are very pleased to hear you are getting out and enjoying your speaker. If you get a chance try out the Sony Music Center app. It lets you control music and sound settings straight from your phone. Plus, the Fiestable app puts you in charge of turning the lighting on and off, and lets you activate DJ and karaoke modes. While there, you can even make changes with a flick of your wrist thanks to intuitive motion control.

Only 4 stars because they're all not working great instead of just good. 1 of them is always on standby but the only doesn't and has to be powered on each time they're used

Thank you for sharing your experience so far with your V71 with LIVE sound and 360 lights. We're sorry to know the other system is always on standby. The system enters standby mode automatically in about 15 minutes when there is no operation or audio signal output. By default, the automatic standby function is turned on. The automatic standby function does not work in the following cases:
— during tuner function.
— when the Sleep Timer is activated.
— when microphone or guitar is connected.
— when the system is a Party Guest in the Wireless Party Chain function or the Guest system in the Speaker Add function.

A great purchase

I recomend sitting down with the book in hand during set up. Mine is set up with 3 devices hard wired and one bluetooth at this time. I will take another day and work on getting more devices set up for bluetooth.
