Great unit no regrets. I did get it on sale and it was worth what i paid. Sound quality absolutely superior to any phone. Love having physical buttons i can feel. Adding a silicone case only made it easier to press the button i need through my pants pocket in the gym. Even my car stereo sounds upgraded when i play music through AUX.

First of all, the battery charge isn't as bad as reported. You do need to shut off what you don't need, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which each draw power.
I go to bed listening to my Sony NW-ZX507 having used various headphones, including the Sony MDR-ZR7M2, Focal Elegia, and Audio-Technica ATH MSR7b, and can wake up after some seven hours, w/music still playing, w/some charge still left over.
Of course, the higher the impedance on your headphones, the more power it will take to drive them, and so the greater the battery draw.
The Sony MDR-ZR7M2 - 56-ohm
The Focal Elegia - 35-ohm
The Audio-Technica ATH MSR7b - 36-ohm
Things that I like on the ZX507's, is it having both a 4.4mm Balanced Wire Plug and a 3.5mm Unbalanced one. Also too, Sony finally got rid of their proprietary plug.
I have Hi-Res Music stored on it, and using the 4.4mm Balanced Wires, the music sounds as best as it can be, outside of live.
The one item I don't like, the Android OS.

Great Walkman overall, play all kinds of music files, running Android helps a lot especially for music streaming. However, the battery life is quite bad and it does not have enough power to drive audiophile headphones

I would give this a excellent rating but the battery life is short and sometimes when i charge it, it does not come back on when i hold the power button. I think i'll have to return, i may have a defective one.

It's the perfect way to distinguish between enthusiast and love for music. The only way to enjoy today's music. The compact and sleek design gives me the opportunity to take my Sony Walkman anywhere and be it the star of the show. Whether it's the gym or a last minute party the Sony Walkman is the center of attention. It's the only way to truly experience music.

I was very disappointed on the sound quality and battery life. I was only able to get 1 hour on a charge. I would not recommend this player to anyone
