Then a setting changed the profile and they sounded lousy. I have a $7 pair of wired earbuds that blew these away at that point. I could not figure out how to fix it. Hard reset did nothing. After 2 hours, I gave up and returned them. The Sony app was the worst of 3 different brands I recently tried. There is this photograph your ear function that was supposed to individualize the sound experience and make it great, but it did no such thing for me. To take full advantage of the best sound, you have to use TWO different Sony apps?? That was weird.

Good value headphones.

Only downside is that sometimes the earbuds will be in their case and they’ll automatically connect. This causes me to not get notifications on my phone.

Best noise cancellation earbuds for the value

They stay in your ear and The noise cancellation is amazing. Rode the train with these and I fell asleep without hearing anyone. Case is small and doesn't crowd your pocket

I remembered the pair of over ear headphones I got my wife several years back from Sony the whm-1000 and figured I would check out the Sony earbuds. These things are awesome, super comfortable, the noise cancelling works well, sounds great, and fits in my ears wellS the only thing I regret now is not spending the extra 100 dollars for the even better pair of Sony earbuds. 5/5

Decent ear buds

Good earbuds (I think)

I have Sony XM1000's and since I like those, I chose these earbuds. I have nothing to compare them to but the sound quality is good and noise cancellation seems ok but is not nearly as good as over the ear headphones. I guess I would recommend buying these.

You have to download a secondary app to connect to bluetooth and access the other features. The sound aware is a cool concept but needs some refining. For the price i was hoping for more but now a days this seems to be the price point for mid range bluetooth.

Bang for the buck.

But even at retail price, the features offered are great. Only complaints I have is the case is flimsy. And the earphones is only supported by being in the ear. This then makes the physical button interface harder to use.(no touch controls). But the controls are configurable. In fact, the headphones have a great deal of configuration and customization such as: detailed EQ, variable ANC controls, custom button functions, location specific settings, and ear-specific tuning. The sound is more flat than AirPods but still has a healthy kick of bass if you set the EQ accordingly.

Good buy for the money.

I bought these to replace some Samsung Galaxy buds and I think these sound significantly better. The trade off is the noise cancelling is not as great or as effective. Given the price difference and the much more usable phone app in the end I would go with these again over the galaxy buds.

If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain the correct sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performance.
If any of this is the case, try the following.
-Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The most suitable size of the earbud tips for left and right ears may be different.
-Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
-When the Adaptive Sound Control on the Sony Headphones Connect app is turned on, the wearer's actions, like walking or running, are detected. The noise canceling function is automatically adjusted and the Ambient Sound Mode may be activated according to these actions.
To make the most of the noise canceling function, turn off the Adaptive Sound Control, and try to turn on the noise canceling function manually when you need it.

They cancel out noise well and have great sound quality. The battery life is more than adequate. The reason that I'm giving 4 stars is that the app associated with it isn't very intuitive, making it not really worth downloading, checking on it, or trying to use.

For the price and quality and output I will definitely recommend. Pros Battery life is excellent. Way better than the Beats that I paid over $100 for. Sound quality the Bass and ability to customize via an app is a huge plus. Con Initial Bluetooth set up is a hassle but maybe it’s me. Had a hard time connecting it the first time to my iPhone but after it was a breeze going forward.

Bought for a trip to the bahamas.

They are great. I used them on the airplane while watching movies on my tablet. They block the outside noise very well. I use them while working in the yard as well. Even with heavy yard work and sweat they still work great and sound fine. Cuts the sound of the chainsaw as well. With the app through the playstore , you can setup the buttons customize them to your liking. For what they cost i think they are a great item and I would recommend them to anyone.

Great alternative to Airpods

Audio quality is good, the fit is great, and they come with multiple interchangeable tips for different size ears. I go to the gym a lot and these stay in place during my workouts without me needing to adjust them all the time. If you’re looking for a good mid-range pair of wireless earbuds, these are a great option.

Good earbuds

The noice cancellation works great as well. I actually really like these for when all i want to do is listen to music with both buds in. When you remove one you use the functions on that one bud and phone call quality is ok.
