Received GROSS USED earbuds

I have no idea about the quality because the ear buds I received were gross. They were used, the inside box was torn open, the ear bud showed obvious use and were disgusting. I am so angry that BEST BUY would send out used EAR BUDS and try to pass them off as new. TO MAKE IT EVEN WORSE - THEY WERE A BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR MY SON. Imagine my embarrassment!

Sony quality and performance at its finest

I've been looking for a new set of bluetooth earbuds and these Sony's are a medley of Sony quality and technology at its finest.
The sound quality of these are top notch. One of the things I like the most about Sony headphones is their bass boost. I have several Sony headphones and the bass boost on them is really nice. I generally use other headphones for "normal" listening however I use the Sony's whenever I am traveling on the subway or need some extra bass boost in my music. The bass boost in these earbuds is quite good and definitely up to Sony quality.
The size/weight of these earbuds is quite good. I've read other reviewers complaining these earbuds were either too heavy or didn't fit quite right. As far as fit, I think these fit just as well as any other earbuds I've owned. The weight is pretty much spot on for me. They are quite lightweight and don't feel heavy at all.
The charging case these earbuds come with is pretty nice however the top lid seems a little flimsy. One would need to take care when opening the lid to avoid breaking the case. The earbuds come with the normal assortment of accessories in the box such as different sized earbuds, charging cable and case.
Overall, I really like both the fit/sound quality of these earbuds. They sound great, are lightweight and have pretty good battery life.

-=First Impressions=-
First, I must say I am pleasantly surprised by these ear buds. I was shocked by the sound quality from the moment I turned them on. However, I don't see much difference in the other modes aside from the noise cancellation mode which is just okay at best. Sony has managed to create a comfortable and secure fit without irritation or wear fatigue. I often forgot I had them in. The buds are light weight and offer great sound isolation because of the in-ear design. They mount your ear much like JayBirds do using ear wings that are customizable like the ear gels are.
The design choice is different and reminds me of lima beans or jelly beans. This ok though because they don't look weird or stick out too much from your ear like some other brands. There are a limited number of buttons, which I do not like, and they are very hard to press/find. IPX4 provides peace of mind when I am out running and it decides to rain or I start sweating. Overall, very good and worth a look. I will dive deeper in the next few paragraphs.
+Pros+
+aptX - Hard to find in wireless headphones these days, but these have it.
+IPX4 - Splash proof is not waterproof but it is peace of mind while out in the weather.
+Fit - I love the fit and customizability of these ear buds.
+Sound Quality - Sound is full and bass is powerful, this is also a negative for some listeners. This can be addressed using the EQ.
+EQ - App offers EQ to turn down the "EXTRA BASS" if you are not a fan of it.
+NFC Pairing - Too bad Apple users, you will never know what this feels like just tapping the headphones and clicking ok to pair.
+Audio Synced - These do not have a lag when listening to video. Many others out there have around a 1-3 second delay when watching videos.
-Cons-
-Battery Life - Offers up to 3 hours of use and the case offers like 2 charges for a total of 9 hours.
-Bluetooth 4.1 - we are in 2018, we should all be getting Bluetooth 5.0 now. Disappointing but range is still solid.
-No USB-C - I would expect to see USB type C in 2018. For some reason these, like many still use Micro USB.
-Cradle Design - I am not fond of the charger implementation. It is a cheap plastic case with a hinge that I worry will break. I don't like the swivel door.
-Charging - This takes getting used to. Since the buds are a tight fit, you need to wiggle them and press hard to get them to charge. I also do not like the fact, like many wireless options today, you can only charge in the case. If you lose the case or it is damaged, you will need to shell out more cash or buy new ear buds because they charge through pins.
-Not Waterproof - This only offers "splash" protection which is disappointing.
-LED Placement - Terrible placement of the LED. It should be on the front if you are putting the charger in the back. You have to look at the back to see if it is charged. Disappointing for sure.
-Buttons - There is a lack of buttons for simple functions like volume. There are 2 buttons and they are VERY poorly designed. They are stiff and hard to find sometimes. I wish this would be done better.
-No Stereo Calls - Only the left ear bud is utilized instead of both which is also disappointing.
-Sound Modes - I can hardly tell the difference when activating the other modes besides "Noise Cancelling". Ambient Sounds does not effectively amplify the sounds around me.
-Too Bassy - Low end is HIGHLY favored with these. This will be a turn off for some, but again this is correctable in app using the EQ.
-Call Audio - Call audio often sounded crackly when talking with men who speak loudly. I tried lowering the volume but it still didn't help. Bassy and powerful voices will sound terrible in the ear bud. For music during workout these are a winner!
-=THE VERDICT=-
WORTH A LOOK! With all the "negatives" I posted, they were really personal preference. Many of these things people can look past, but as a reviewer I must share everything I find fairly. The one true negative for me is battery life. 3 hours is not that great and I think it is downright pathetic. You do have a charging case to use but it too is a pain trying to open and put the buds to charge. I didn't time how long it takes to get a usable charge but I would guess about an hour. Looks are relative to each buyer so not a big deal. I love the fit and splash proofing is welcomed. If you are a gym rat or a runner, these are a buy but only if you always leave them in the charger.

Best sounding Earbuds

These Earbuds sound amazing. They really do pack a punch. Far as true wireless goes. I say these are the best sounding headphones to date. They have more bass then some over the head headphones. Previously I owned the Jabra Sport. The jabra were nice just didn't like the fact that you had to have left earbud in for them to work. They also needed more bass. I found myself fidgeting with them my whole workout to get them to fit. These Sony headphones solved all those problems. Once there in. They will not come out until you pull them out. They are by far the most comfortable earbuds I ever had. I've had Sony products before. So pause/play changing of music was a breeze to me. The noise cancelation works good I couldn't here the weights dropping at the gym or people running on treadmills. Watching movies or videos on YouTube sound like surround sound. Im talking amazing.I have the sony 950n1 for some reason YouTube sounds better on these. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is. They are big. If you are familiar with sony products you no what I'm talking about. I personally think they need a new design team. The earbuds are very light with the comfort you want even no they're in your ears. My other complaint is. They're are advertised to have 3hrs of play time I only get 2hrs. I've tried with noise canceling on & off. I returned one pair the new pair gives me the same outcome. Idk. Yes I would recommend you try these headphones.

On the plus side, the sounds is really great, they're light and comfortable. These actually stay in my ear, unlike the Apple airpods that about 30 seconds after I readjust they're falling out....These were in for good. I haven't tested how they'd feel in the gym, and on a run...They're not soooo comfortable that I can use all day, but that could be just me needing to play around with the tips.
Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives.
1) You can't use one ear bud at a time. Well you can use the left, but not the right. This isn't good since if I need to use with only one bud (like at work) the left ear bud is going to get tons more use than the right. Can't be good for the battery
2) When walking in the street in NYC, even with the mode set to prioritize connection, it still disconnects every minute or so. It's a split second thing that isn't the end of the world, but If I'm shelling out $180 I kind of do want everything to work.
3) battery life is about 3 hours...I'm getting more like 2:45...if that. But the case only has 2 recharges. You need to recharge the case every single day, which I suppose is fine, but I would have hoped for a little more juice.
I am going to keep playing with them this week, but unless the connectivity issues don't go way, Then I'm probably just going back to my beats over the ear headphones....I really want these to work..

Pros:
Great audio
Noise cancellation is solid
Snug fit so you won’t worry about them falling off
Cons:
You can’t control volume. You have to use your phone
When answering calls only the left side has audio
The button on both buds is not touch screen, you have to press
Sometimes the buds decide they don’t want to connect to my phone. (But then again most ear buds at this price point have this same problem) Just turn off Bluetooth and put buds back in case. Wait a couple seconds and turn Bluetooth on. Remove buds from case and they should connect.
The rotating lid from the charging case is very flimsy. I’m worried it’ll break the first time I drop it.
When placing buds back in case you have to use slight pressure.
All in all if these are on sale you should buy them but I wouldn’t recommend them at their original price.

I'm really loving these earbuds - they sound great, they have Sony's excellent noise cancelling tech, they fit well, they're water and sweat resistant (great for workouts), and they come with a cool app that lets you control them really easily. And they cost a whole lot less than Bose and some other makes.
My only real gripe is that they are not the greatest with phone calls. People have commented that I sound like I'm "in a tunnel" when I'm speaking through them. So there's that. But I mostly bought them to listen to music, so I can see past the issue, but I will dock Sony 1 star for this.
Other criticisms I've read or heard, which I'll respond to: 1) flimsy case - OK, maybe slightly, but I haven't had an issue keeping them safe in fact I like that the cover swivels in either direction and the buds lock in nicely while they're charging so there's little risk that they'll fall out or get lost even if the case does open accidentally; 2) the size of the case - fits fine in my pocket or backpack so I don't agree; 3) battery life - true, if you're always running noise cancellation, it's going to drain the battery faster. But you don't always have to run them in that mode. There have been a couple of times when they kicked off unexpectedly and yes it was annoying, but I see this as a first-world problem, not a show-stopper by any means.
In general, I'd recommend the SP700Ns to anyone, any day. They're well worth the $179 I paid for them.

These Bluetooth headphones really surprised me in a pleasant way. I've tried the last set Sony introduced and was completely underwhelmed by them. These, the WF-SP700N Noise Cancelling Sport Headphones, where so good to my ears, I almost forgot they where a Sony product. I have got a full review posted in the link below. But I would definitely recommend these.

These headphones sound awesome. Crazy bass for a true wireless earbud, decent max volume, I was totally zoned in while working out with them. The fit was great for me and the headphones are light enough that after a while I’d forget they were in. The negatives unfortunately outweigh these positives however. Battery life is a major issue, I was having to recharge them in the case almost every time I went to the gym. After a little over a month of using them 3-4 times a week, the right unit stopped turning on when I removed it from the case. It still showed the light indicating it was charging, but even after resetting both earbuds multiple times I couldn’t use the right unit. I luckily bought the Geek Squad Protection so I exchanged them for a different brand.

I've gone thru a few different bluetooth headphones and these are definitely among these best. The sound and bass are strong. The sweat and water resistance is a definite plus as I tend to damage alot of bluetooth due to sweating. The design is comfortable and hold in place.
Biggest downside is the battery life. Its says 3 hours but I'm lucky if i get 2 out of them. They dont make it thru a gym workout session.
For everything they offer I can deal with the short battery life as the charging case holds a few charges.

I have owned so many different wireless headphones over the past three years I can't keep track. Fireflies (the smallest); Bose and a previous version of Sony. None of them would stay connected or would only connect to one side (voice) and not music. Fireflies were great but battery life was an issue and even they had trouble connecting but not as much as Bose. I kept the Bose for 2 months and finally gave them back to Best Buy without a credit or anything after I got these Sony WF-SP700N they have been excellent. Always connect, no hassles, the battery lasts a good 2.5 hours and can recharge in about 10 minutes for another hour's worth. Great for when you are on a long plane ride. Sound on the Sony 700N is better than any of the previous headsets I have owned. Deep bass, excellent treble and lots of options for adjustment. I highly recommend them!

These headphones are very comfortable. I’ve stuck with Sony headphones/earphones for years because they really are top notch quality for sound, bass, comfort, durability, etc. so when I decided to jump to wireless, this was a no brainer. After downloading the app, and connecting via BT, I loved them. No problems, strong connection, multiple noise-cancelling modes, great sound/bass/treble. Then I noticed the big issue with the battery life, at first it lasted just under 2 hours, now, 7 months down the road it lasts 50 mins. The application states that they have 20% battery life and no matter how many times I try, they fail, and they will not stay on. The only real problem, but it is a major problem as the truly wireless was the reason I bought them. So disappointing. . . .

These buds are great if you are a bass head. they got some good bass and they generally sound good too for an average person. They are sweat and dust resistant so can be worn comfortably to the gym. They are very comfortable and stay put in ears even with vigorous activity, you will not notice that you have them on.
The connection seems to be intermittent sometimes. The biggest problem with them is the battery life. The longest time I have been able to pull from them is a max of 90minutes at full charge, most of the time they lasted slightly more than an hour. If you do not mind the miserly battery life and care so much about bass then these will be a good pair for you. If you are looking for a workout pair and your work barely lasts an hour then go for them, but if your workout lasts more than an hour the look somewhere else. I would have given them five stars if the battery life was 2.5hrs and above but because it is mediocre I give it a 3 star.

I have been using these for a little bit and wanted to make sure I gave them a fair chance and a good review. So my experience with them have been pretty good for the most part. I used the noise cancelling during my flights and worked well. They have great sound quality. I can wear them for good amount of time and will not have any pain in my ears.
My one thing I do not like is the charging case. If you do not sit them correctly in the case they may not charge. Now when you put them in there and the the red light comes on they should be charging, but when you close the case you may want to double check and see if they are still charging.

I like these because of the noise cancelling and true wireless. They are pretty sleek too. Battery life is only about 3 hours. But that’s enough for working out, running etc. I really like using the noise cancelling for work because there is this girl at work whose voice is so nasty to hear when she speaks and especially when laughing and singing because she smokes so much. She also smells like an ashtray. So the noise cancelling really helps. Also the other girls at work are really annoying so these help with that too with reference to ignoring them. I would recommend these to others in more ways than one.

The search for earbuds continue, but I could have easily settled on these had the Powerbeats Pro not been released and ticked off every box I was looking for. However, for the price, these Sony earbuds have a lot going for them that set them apart from the others on the market.
Pros:
- Fit: These by far were the most comfortable when compared to the Jabra Elite 65t, Bose Soundsport Free, and I dare say the Powerbeats Pro. I use the standard tips on all models and the Sonys nailed the fit. They don't protrude like the Frankenstein monster neck bolts of the Bose, are lighter than the Jabra model, and don't have to clip over your ears to hold on like the Beats.
- Connection: The connection to an iPhone 6S Plus was by far the best of the bunch as well. Unlike with the other options, I never felt tethered to my phone and could freely roam to other rooms in the house or office without losing connection.
- Active Noise Cancellation: ANC is a standout feature of these that none of the others can match. While I did not get to try these out on an airplane, I was able to put them through the lawn mowing test. Between the ear fit and the ANC, I did not have to crank the volume to maintain a comfortable listening experience. Office noise was rendered non-existent and I found that they didn't put that sense of "pressure" on your ears like some other ANC devices.
CONS:
- The Case: The bulbous case seems like and afterthought when compared to the earbuds. I found it difficult to wedge the earbuds back into the case and was underwhelmed with the cases closure mechanism. It felt very cheap and I doubt it would hold up in a computer bag.
- Phone calls: One area that was important to me was the call quality as I often use a headset for online meetings and conference calls. The box literature flat out stated that only the left earbud operates in phone calls and while I initially didn't think that would be an issue, as I use a Jabra ear bud in the field, but it was. I craved the stereo and this was a primary reason for returning these to get the Powerbeats Pro.
- Sound Quality: Most of the time I was satisfied with the sound until I wanted to crank it up. At that point, overdrive was highly evident and the static ruined the experience.
- Physical buttons: The buttons on these things are a bit more difficult to operate than competing models. Still better than the Bose, but not even comparable to the Powerbeats Pro.

I got these headphones looking for a pair that I could use to kill two birds with one stone. I have tried about 9 pair of wireless headphones since they first began readily available at retail stores. They have each had their ups and downs. These headphones being Sony sound as one would expect..a little better than good but just sorry of great when listening to music. When you get a phone call it can get lost, lag, or drop the call. I have used a Samsung s9+ and a Samsung s10+ with these ear buds. Connectivity seems a little better, I don't know why; after you download the official Sony headphone app. The app isn't a necessary download, but it does allow one to use some preset functionality that isn't available without this app. The most difficult thing I found other than finding the correct size of ear piece to fit without causing pain after use was putting them in the case to recharge. When you do this part you have to swivel the ear wings that help hold the buds in your ears into a certain position, other wise the will not fit into the designed slot or make a connection to recharge. This is probably the biggest headache I've dealt with concerning these headphones. You can use them mono (one at a time) to take calls longer, the case offers two full charges if the case is fully charged. For the price I got them on sale about $90, they are worth it to me. With the pandemic Covid19 stuff Best But has gone above and beyond in customer service, they unlike some of their counterparts permitted returns or exchanges, although they were only exclusively doing so through mail. Final note: with three price point, there is a little to learn with these ear buds but they are worth it. Unless you are a super audiophile, then obviously you're going to have to spend more money to get what your looking for.

I loved the headphone the two huge downsides for me were it only fed phone calls through the left ear and it was terribly staticky.
The other issue was the battery life was terrible I do 2 plus hour workouts and they would need to be fully charged to complete the workout .
One other small issue was the distance away from my phone they had to be I would walk 15feet away and they wanted to disconnect. But , I could deal with that .
The headphones had great music sound and had great noise cancellation quality.
If it were not for the top two issues I would have kept the head phones . They were very light and comfortable.
Note: I only kept these two weeks . I only had a 15 day exchange policy .
