Great volume and bass for a small speaker. Surprisingly hefty since it is carrying two tiny subs. Primarily use it for a bathroom speaker so I can adjust the volume or change tracks while I'm in the shower. Used it for the beach and an outdoor speaker to sync music (connected a Chromecast audio to the aux plug in the back, worked very well) . I honestly can't remember the last time I charged the thing.

I bought it for when I go out on my hikes . The sound it gives off is great , and I love the extra bass that it has. It is the perfect size to take.

I purchased this along with the xb30. I am more impressed with this than the xb30. The battery life is much more accurate. The vocals are clearer, the base is still great and it can almost get just as loud. I do like that you can connect both together and play songs at the same time together. I put one in my backyard and in the kitchen for a bbq and they both played flawlessly.

Bought this for $50 during the Black Friday sale. The size is compact and the sound/bass is great for the size. The flashing lights are also great.

It’s light, space saving with sturdy feeling of the speaker. Very powerful with the extra bass feature on. Battery lasts a long time. One drawback is that you can recharge only after you use up all the battery life.

sounds so much better then my first gen beats pill it replaced nice bass long battery life . only complaint is it don't come with a carrying case

I was looking for an inexpensive Bluetooth portable speaker , I did some research and decided to buy the Sony, I have not been disappointed. I live in a one bedroom apartment but this thing is tiny and I can't play it full blast because my neighbors will kill me.it has a nice deep sound whether you use the extra boost or not I prefer to leave it on because I feel that it gives fuller sound .I am very happy with this unit and my purchase and I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a small portable Bluetooth speaker that packs a punch.

I purchased this speaker for a small size Bluetooth hookup to apple devices. I had read reviews saying this speaker was awesome for its size but I couldn't help being skeptical when it arrived. And like so many others, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of sound and clarity of the speaker. Awesome purchase. I took the speaker to a party where others commented this small speaker sounded better than their 15 year old then-top-of-the-line Bose. They reported they are also going to get this speaker while it was on sale for Black Friday.

Great sound and nice and compact. Feels like a solid well built speaker. The sound is very clear and good volume with little to no distortion.

Very easy device. With a wonderful sound quality, is a small speaker but with a powerful strength. No problems to install the blue tooth.

Very good speakers, Im satisfied. I bought it twice, perfect for campfires or camping weekends. Please Sony !! Would it be possible to leave the outline LED light, always ON with the application? The speaker light is much more beautiful simply ON, especially during a quiet evening around the campfire ... Thank You!

I tested some of the Bluetooth portable speakers over the past year at Best Buy. This Sony had the best bass in the price range so I kept it on my radar screen until a sale. This is the latest model and it has a lighting function that beats with the music (it can be turned off). I purchased it because it was on sale for 50% off; at that price ($49.99) it was a great deal. I use it with my Echo Dot for music on Pandora plugged in through the Aux out. Music sounds fantastic for my tastes with a lot of bass.

Because I was traveling, I wanted a reliable, affordable and decent sounding wireless speaker. That's exactly what I got! I played it for 2 weeks, outside by the swimming pool at my friend's house and it sounded great! I have a Bose system at home, so I'm used to 'clear & clean' speakers and this Sony Bluetooth speaker fit the bill! Plus, if anyone else has one( or you have 2 or more) you can link them together to get great sound in various areas of the house. For $50.00 I think this was a great buy!

The Sony XB20 is a very good portable speaker; it produces loud, high quality sound. A little on the pricier side, but worth it in the end! I was shocked at how loud it can get and it's splash resistant on top of that. Prefect speaker for using by the pool or in the bathroom while you shower...or just in everyday life. You can also buy multiple and link them together which is pretty unique. I'll most likely be buying another to link them together!

This speaker is small, lightweight, but still produces loud and clear sound! It has an option for "extra bass" and produces a rich bass sound! I purchased it when it was $50 during the Black Friday sale and it has been a great deal! It is used almost everyday and brings my residence alive with a ambience of rich sound!

Amazing sound for a small sound bar. Very nice quality as well. It has a good weight to it and the buttons feel nice and solid. It paired flawlessly with my phone. The bass response is really good. Personally, I would leave the Extra Bass button turned on all the time. The sound fills a big room nicely. Another nice feature is if you buy more than one you can easily link them together to create a stereo sound system. OH! and it's water-resistant. Overall, I’m impressed.

Got it on sale for $49.99. It gets very loud and sounds clear. The bass is very clear as well for how small it is.

Have owned a number of Bluetooth audio devices and this one provides the best sound for the money by far. Good bass and rich sound. Battery life is good and syncing is simple. Recommend downloading Sony app as it helped keep unit synced and allows pairing with other Sony audio devices. In all highly recommend
