My first Sony phone ever and I love love love this phone! The front and rear cameras are amazing, I already had a SD card so I have lots of storage. My apps work fast, wifi connection is wonderful. I travel alot so the 6in edge to egde screen makes watching movies etc much more enjoyable. The sleek thin design fits perfectly into my purse. GET A PHONE CASE/COVER!! You don't want to scratch crack or break this.. All in all, I love everything about this phone..

I had previously bought my father a Huawei unlocked phone for the screen size. When I saw this HUGE one I knew he would enjoy it. He drives for Uber and Lyft so something with a larger screen is just simpler for him as he cannot see that well with small print. Overall, an excellent device. The only down side is that the buttons are super sensitive, but other than that, it was very simple to set up and for him to use!

Sony experia xa1 ultra too heavy, too big, dropped it and shattered the screen less than one year. Before that it keeps dropping wifi signal on a regular basis.customer service not helpful. My opinion. thanks

I've never owned a Sony phone before. But I was looking forward to this phone. The camera specs seemed to be amazing. But the phone itself is EXTREMELY buggy. My BIGGEST issue is the fact that this phone REFUSES to cooperate with the video call feature on Facebook Messenger. My boyfriend lives out in Arizona (For the time being). So we use Facebook Messenger to use video call. The phone REFUSES to work with it. I contacted Sony and they told me that there wasn't anything they could do about it. And to contact Facebook and have them put out an update for Facebook Messenger to work with my phone. Of course, Facebook also doesn't respond to messages. So in order to video call with my boyfriend, I have to use my old phone. My other issue is the camera itself. Even though the camera specs are both very high, the photo quality is very poor. I'm still unsure how that happens. But it looks like the photos are 3MP quality, at best. And that's after cleaning the lenses before taking photos. So the lenses definitely aren't dirty. I also encounter an issue with low light settings. If I take a photo in low lighting, the phone REFUSES to save the photo. Instead, I get an error message. And then the camera app closes. I contacted Sony about this issue, too. And they said to clear the cache for the camera app, and reset the phone. Which also didn't do ANYTHING, mind you. I thought these were just issues with the phone I had. So on the second day of having it, I exchanged it for another one. Same issues occurred on the replacement phone. So if you plan on taking good quality photos, photos in low lighting, or using video call features, you might want to consider a different phone. Sony's customer support is about as helpful as slamming your head into a brick wall, when you have a headache. They just offer different ways to (unsuccessfully) troubleshoot your issues, and not solve them. Not worth the time, money, or effort.

Great Phone, fast, great camera, good features, wish there were more cases available

Well it's an overall good phone. The only thing is that with 23mp it's got a pretty good camera for a phone except for it having problems with apps force closing.
