I was looking for something that wouldn't be to far from my Samsung S8+ I was replacing. I was not Disappointed! I was worried about display & camera resolutions but honestly can not tell much between the S8+ and Sony screens and the camera is a much higher resolution. Fingerprint security is very quick. Volume is extremely loud and of much better quality. Opening and running apps is also just as quick and not laggy. This is truly a great phone especially if your wanting Flagship Quality but don't want to spend or can't afford Flagship phones. My only complaint (and may be because I purchased refurbished instead of new) is there is a noticeable bright light coming from the edge of the screen on both sides where it must not be sealed well. Shipping was fast and packaged ok. Phone box itself was damaged a bit and dirty but again "refurbished". Package included the phone, charge cord(3ft could be longer), and a charger. All-in-all I do recommend this phone and would not hesitate to purchase again.

I'm grad I've purchased this phone. Runs fast, takes great pictures. I have nothing bad to say about this phone.

My Sony Xperia xa 2 ultra phone camera is superb, wide display for video and selfie.

I decided to buy something different from what i always used in phones (Samsung) because I have always been a fan of Sony's Photos, but this camera, although it had one of the best producing pictures ever, great photo editing software, etc, failed not more than 6 months after I bought it... back camera stopped working, first intermittently and then completely... it made it useless... now, I use my phone just to stream videos and I had to buy another phone. There are plenty, many, bad reviews and proof that the camera on the Sony Xperia fails and there is nothing you can do to make it work. It will not let you use the rear camera, it will styay on front(selfies)camera

Does what it's supposed to do well and even does more.

I love this phone overall. I like the fact that it takes good picture quality.

This phone absolutely shattered my expectations. I went to best buy to purchase a Nokia 6.1 and just before ringing out this caught my eye. Pros: Affordable price Huge, vibrant display Phone is very responsive and runs smoothly Outstanding battery life, probably the best I've seen on a phone so far Cons: Not always easy to use with one hand but that's a trade off with the huge screen and also there is an option to minimize the screen so not really that big of a con Don't get me wrong, the camera for this phone is very solid, I just thought it would be a little crisper than it is. Images at times appear smoothed out rather than crisp. All in all, if you are in the market for an affordable midrange smartphone, I can't think of one I'd rather recommend.

I have had this phone for 8 months now and its performance has been satisfactory so far. Positive: - Good Performance so far. - Long battery life. - Fast Charging. - Superb Screen Colors. - Good speaker sound. - Crisp Quality photos from Front 16 megapixel Camera. - Responsive finger print. - Regular software updates. Negative: - Its on bit heavier side. - Big bezels on top and bottom. - Mic have issues. Mostly I use earbuds for calls. - Speaker at wrong side. Usually it gets hid by the fingers. - Screen gets scratches easily (I did not expect this). - Cannot control volume while calling over whatsapp. - Rear camera is 23 megapixel but it is very disappointing - Pictures are not clear, software softens them and pics are mostly yellowish color. I absolutely love this phone! Yeah it could use more Ram (only 32gb) and it would be nice if it could use a Micro SD card bigger than 256, but for this price range that is pretty good. The cameras are awesome and video is great too. Some, like me think that it is too big at first glance, but it fits in my hand perfectly and is also perfectly balanced unlike other phones this size that are currently on the market. Everyone that I show this phone to likes it and can't believe that it is made by Sony! Two words of advice this phone is not in any way able to be submerged under liquid (I found the hard way two weeks into ownership) and accessories are extremely limited for this model as with most Sony phones, so keep those two thoughts under consideration before purchasing. Otherwise I have had no problems that I could contribute to the phone, but I do have some problems with AT&T's service, especially when it comes to their "perks" being "offered" and I am not the only one. Just another consideration for you. Good luck!

Big Phone, Solid and heavy phone, Big Battery like will last forever. Best camera phone and fast prosessor, Its a midrange phone and good price. Nice quality phone will recommend.

I have never owned a Sony mobile phone before and was not sure what to expect. I read other positive reviews and decided to give it a try. So far I like it and want to get more use out of the 23 mp camera. The body feel expensive but it was a great price. Once I put the case on it seemed a lot bigger. I'm sure that was from my choice of cases. My only real complaint is that it only comes with 32gb of internal storage. Though I have not maxed that, I felt the need to add an external memory card.

The good: awesome phone for the price I paid for activation. Sound is great..loved that it's big and the speed is incredible. Battery life is excellent. This is an awesome upgrade to a lg stylo 3. 2 thumbs up on that part! The bad: Even though you had 32 GB and sd card, your apps cannot be transferred onto the sd card! You can move the data of it from time to time but that just eats both internal and external memory not leaving much space for moms to save photos. If you are a guy who is just a gamer, I think you would be fine. Also another bad was not a lot of extras for a phone that's trying to give off the impression that it's a luxury item. This is all basic android stuff. No wireless charging, not h20 resistant, not much of anything. But still good quality of what it is selling you. The ugly : geek squad protection prices are ridiculous for any cellphone including this one. There is virtually NO SCREEN PROTECTORS that can fully protect you like the other phones have. It was hard looking for a nice one to hold but had to return most of them. The phone weighs like a brick! There is barely themes and fonts to add to later. As well as a couple of things here and there that had me a bit sad. All in all I still say it's a great phone and will make most guys or girls happy with gaming and just internet scrolling with little pics. But if you need more, the train stops here. I returned it for a galaxy.

Have always had Samsung phones. Due to their high price decided to buy something different. This phone has been a great replacement for the Samsung. Very quick, camera also works very well. Sound is also louder then my last phone. Just wish it had 64 gig internal. All in all for the price Sony quality this is a great phone.

It's a great phone. I would prefer more storage but didn't want to spend another $200. You can add another memory card, I bought the 64GB. But some things won't move to the other card. I had a hard time with the shifting of info from my old Samsung to the Sony. The gorilla glass is perfect, not having to worry about breaking. The processor is quick, the crisp colors on the screen makes it easy to see better. A lot of options to personalize it and the camera's have great mega pixels. It is worth the $ in my opinion.

I was so much anticipating the arrival of this phone. So many good things I heard. I received the phone and opened it and... got disappointed... so... proceed with caution when purchasing... Pros: This phone has NFC. The square/edgy look is kind of cool. Two frontal cameras are excellent. Back camera is good, but nothing to scream about in terms of overall performance (see cons below) . No edges on the sides (although very fat edges on top/bottom) Cons: The sound is not that great... I compared xa2 ultra to moto g5s plus (my present workhorse phone). The sound of the latter is SO MUCH better and richer. Not sure why everyone is saying the sound is great on xa2 ulta. To me, the sound from xa2 ultra is similar to playing hd sound on cheap speakers. Too much trembling and too little balance AND not as loud as my other cheaper phones for sure. When at max volume, it feels the speaker is just about to explode or rocket itself to the moon. Amount of available space... After all system updates and BEFORE any additional apps 45% is used and only 17GB (out of 32GB) is free. This is RIDICULOUS. c'mon, sony... really, what are you installing that takes so much space? How about installing bare minimal and then let the user decide what's needed. Nobody needs bloatware. It's 2019 not early 2010s. Navigation buttons are not customizable... If Zte can have an option to switch navigation buttons (left to right to left), then why can't Sony? Dedicated camera button is a joke... Sorry Sony, but your dedicated camera phone is a complete joke in terms of placement. Too many false triggers. Rear camera... is it really 23MP? I do not know how this is possible, maybe I am doing something wrong, but Moto G5S Plus (13MP) takes better photos than this Sony 23MP camera... I can not believe this... Packaging is really bad... First, the seal was displaced and you can see the original footprint of seal. How is that possible - I do not know. Is my new phone refurbished in some way or was it a customer return? Second, the plastic sleve has so much dust skids that it feels this unit was travelled 10x around the globe. To top it off, the sleve is not even secured and its flapper is permanently bent. The charger came in all in dust. Where are these units stored and packaged? Is there QC? Do you ship phones in bulk to the US and then pack units locally in somebody's basement? I suppose I had way too much expectation hoping to to get a new shiny phone that just rocks the world. Instead, I got something that makes me say: 'wait, whaaat?...really?'. Personally, Sony should just sent me xa3 ulta to make up for the amount of disappointment I developed while using xa2 ulta. All in all, I have very mixed feelings about this xa2 ultra phone.

I was looking for a replacement for my "free" cricket phone (which was as good as the price I paid) but I wanted a phone with a better camera and memory as my last phone took lousy pics. I love this phone as it can take slow-mo and hi-res pics. It even has two cameras for taking wide angle and regular selfies, great when you have a group to take selfies of. Another great feature is that is is unlocked already, should I decide to use it on another carrier. Love the phone!

This Sony phone should be an awesome deal for anyone who is looking for all the current functions and not caught up in the Samsung/Apple hype. Sony made a fantastic package with this phone. It's fast and can run as many apps as you want at once. It's cameras are awesome and the pre-installed apps for the cams are super cool. I'm sold on Sony it's price is right and it's running neck and neck with s8 and s9. I give it two thumbs up.
