Dear Sirs, I received my Sony Xperia a few days ago, among other purchases. It was an open box purchase. I am aware of what this evolves. I used the phone and it's working fine. However, I have identified a defect in addition to the fact that the initial buyer has not erased their settings (this is not a problem). The piece that pulls the holder of the sim and nano cards has a broken hook, the SIM card. Notice in the photo that the hook that pulls the memory card (they are 2) is integral, but the only hook that would wrap the SIM card is broken. I've cleaned all the device settings, and I'm sure the source of the device will give me no problems because I bought from Best Buy. However, I want to request that the defective part be replaced. And since it does not require technical intervention or greater difficulties, I ask that you simply send me a new piece, preferably at my address in Brazil, I will indicate below. If it is not possible, you can send it to the same address as the purchase, which is also my address in Brazil. It does not make sense to return the device because of this small problem that does not impede the operation of the device, but as this will be a gift for my daughter, I would be very grateful for the replacement of the broken part. I ad here to Best Buy client for very long and I trust you, and these purchase was my third laptop and 2 smartphones.

First things first... let's start with the negative sides. Which is actually just one: the fingerprint scanner doesn't work on the US devices. I understood it can be enabled by flashing the phone but they say this may actually delete the WiFi Calling and the VoLTE capabilities of the phone. And apart from the inactive fingerprint scanner... everything else works flawlessly: WiFi Calling and VoLTE (as stated above), the phone call quality is well above my Galaxy S8 device, great camera, fantastic battery life (I get 2 days on a single charge), Micro SD card slot, the display is crystal clear, fantastic Stereo sound from the front-facing firing speakers. And is crazy, crazy fast, too. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful device!

Pros: Compact size: can be operated with a single hand. Fast in response. Good looking: constant front color, flat camera lens, rounded corners Extradinary battery life: 18 hours with music playing in headphone, even longer when not used too much. Cons: US version doesn't contain finerprint reader. Camera app works bad in dark condition. Plastic shell easy to collect fingerprints.

Things I like: • It is fast. • It is light. • Headphone jack provides great sound with wired headphones. • Loud and clear stereo speakers. • Battery life is great, I was able to go through a whole day wihout a charge. • The phone is smaller than Nexus 5! • Screen changes colors when facing bright sunlight, making it easier to see things outside. • VoLTE and VoWiFi compatibility with T-Mobile! (which is not supported in bigger dual-sim XZ1). • Various useful adjustments in Android (such as automatic DnD mode when you are at work, or disable notification light at night). • Dedicated camera button. • Video quality is great, electronic stabilization helps with panning and clear sound make videos.

I've owned Huawei, Samsung Apple and Sony z3. Overall I'm not a fan of Samsung's bloatwear. Too much unnecessary apps on top of Android and I'm not a fan of the Samsung fanclubs. Whenever people see my phone they are always surprised my compact phone. This phone fits comfortably in the hand and takes great photos during the day and evenings. Only complaint would be battery life. On an excess and heavy day, I'll get about 3.5-4.5 on screen usage towards 5pm. If moderately used, can easily last the entire day. Usually end the day around 7/9pm with 29%/35% battery life.

Great compact phone. Added memory for pictures and music. Works really well. All the hardware of the expensive phones without the really high price. Saved at least $175.

To sum it up, it's the best compact android device you can get. Everything performs well. Any review you read will tell you everything is excellent, except it's a shame Sony disabled the fingerprint sensor on this in the US. The only place I would like to see an improvement is camera, I'd go 8 out of 10 on that. It currently can't compete with the S8 and S9 but at half the cost it is more than acceptable. If you want a small phone and don't want to break the bank you shouldn't have any regrets.

Well, it's the only compact android phone worth the price. You have flagship specs in a tiny package. Sony is constantly updating the software, so it shows how dedicated they are to making sure you have a great experience. I've been using xperia flagships for years and this is my absolute favorite phone since the Z3 compact. The battery last 2 days with heavy usage, which is unheard of. You won't regret this purchase!

all day battery life due to exquisite software and hardware. (my day: internet, fb, music, 2d games, gps(alot), dozzens of calls). super fast charging. the screen is not too small due to insane ppi and vivid colors and contrasts. i read alot as well as playing 2d and 3d games with various micro text in game, no problem. the size is so very nice. i forgot how much i missed a one handed phone that doesnt look like a portable barrier when used as a phone handset. YOU WILL WANT TO GET A TEXTURED CASE! this lil dude is nice in the hand but slippery! (BBuy didnt have any in stock at time of this write) memory size- look folks im a android power user and 32g is enough. most people use just a dozen or so apps and games at any given time. they can be changed up in minutes with what you own online.. do you really need to have every single game you own on your device.. you can only play, and do only play a few a day. this is a nice phone! built solid. runs well with its beastly chip set. and i love the classic design, im glad they stuck with it at least one more round. quick last note the 3d scanning and AR that happen through the pre-loaded Sony software is quite fun. i dont think ill ever completely tire of it.

Awesome battery life and compact form. It is a big change from the phablets out there but is just as fast. I have no problem taking it out on a long run and stuffing it in whatever pocket.

Amazing battery life and tons of great features. Works great with T-Mobile's Wi-Fi calling.

I first bought an international version of this phone, while abroad for use in another country. When I came back to US, I bought another just to use here. One difference though: the international version includes fingerprint recognition, which is a plus. For some reason the model for sale in the US does not.

Beautiful screen, great camera and a more compact size than most which is a big plus for me. The phone feels robust - but I still feel you need a case of some kind. Battery life has been a lot better than my old iphone too - gets me through a whole work day without charging.

Sometimes you want a small compact decent phone that you can easily carry around. This Sony almost fits the bill except voice quality isn't the best. Otherwise, no complaints. Very responsive.
