This phone delivers what seems to be lacking in the market today: a smaller, sleeker device that still packs the same features as its bigger brother (the Xperia Z3). I've had this device for about a month now and here's what I like and don't like: Pros: -Battery life. It will definitely get you through the day or, in my case, sometimes two without needing to be plugged in. -Camera. The 20.7 megapixels allow you to take some pretty great shots, as long as you know how to adjust the settings based on lighting. -Speed. Having come from an iPhone 4s, I was very impressed with the phone's processing power and response times. Cons: -Bloatware. Sony loaded this thing with a lot of preinstalled apps, especially on the camera. I was able to get rid of some of them, but it can be overwhelming at first. -Keyboard. The keyboard interface just didn't work for me because it had something funky going on with the autocorrect, which seemed to constantly kick in whether I wanted it or not. However, like other Android phones you can download others from the Google Play store and I was able to a find a better one. Otherwise, it's a fantastic device and I really enjoy using it!

I wanted a small pocketable smartphone and the Sony Xperia Z3 compact was just the right fit. Nice 4.6" screen, excellent battery life, great camera and expandable micro SD card slot. It has all the features I wanted. The only down side is that the phone is slippery and I have already dinged it. Would be nice if more 3rd parties made cases for this phone. I gave this product one less star because it was sold by BestBuy with out a manufacturer's box. I am not sure if I got a phone that was returned, but it looks new. For the price I paid, I would expect this to be packaged in the whole 9 yards.

I've been very pleased with this phone. I upgrade from a mid-tier to a flagship and there is a world of difference. If you are a fan of phones that fit in your pocket, especially on a byop plan, you can't do any better. Nearly half the price of it's two biggest competitor, the galaxy alpha and iPhone 6, it matches them in every category that counts and beats them outright in many of them.

This is the only phone I could find under 5" screen that has the capability as it's flagship phone. I was previously using an LG G3 (which I loved) but it was just too big. Upon researching this phone I found it has the practically the same processor and speed as the LG G3. I took a chance and now I am in LOVE with this phone. Perfect size and very fast phone.

All aspects of the Sony Z3 Compact are perfect. It has replaced my tablet computer. The voice recognition speeds everything up.

The Z3 Compact is a great cell phone for someone who cares about features and not the how big the screen is. This is unlocked phone with software made for Vodafone use in Europe. You would need to re-flash a clean US software to make some functions work like LTE.

I loved this phone. It is exactly what I was looking for.

This product is not at the top of the line, but offers great value. If you are not obsessed with the latest version of everything and instead more into the functionality I would recommend it.

Great camera resolution, awesome UI for contact pic

Previous phone was a Nexus One (yes, had it for a long time)... I'm accustom to Google's intuitive Android interface and the Xperia Z3c is very user friendly. Having purchased the Xperia Z Tablet when it first came out, I was already familiar and very pleased with the layout, function and performance... The Z3 compact was exactly what I was looking for in a phone - full featured, powerful processing and quality build - but MUST be a reasonable size for pocket carry and typical phone use (I can't stand the brick sized phones). The Xperia Z3 Compact is super fast performing, perfect size and lightweight - Sony hit the mark in those regards! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars are the following: * Power button is in a very odd place - just above mid way on the right edge. This makes it very awkward when using car mount (which squeezes phone from each side to hold in place) and is just plain annoying when turning phone off and on *Dedicated camera button on lower right edge. This is useless for me and often gets pushed inadvertently - bringing up the camera with long press (typically by mistake). *Ear bud jack on the left top edge... what the heck??? 2015 and people still use wired ear buds? Isn't everything Bluetooth now? *the phone size is great - and the slick, sleek look and feel is cool... but it's very slippery - definitely get a cover of some sort (for protection and for better grip) - I have ordered a gel type cover, but sadly it wasn't from Best Buy (they don't sell Z3c accessories). Had Sony placed the power button in the left side of top edge, the volume rocker switch on the top 2/3 left edge and omitted the ear bud jack and camera button, it would be perfect! Aside from those minor flaws - this phone is outstanding! I was tempted to buy it when it first appeared here on BB - but thankfully I waited a week and it was on sale for $450 (great price for this phone)... even at full price of $530 it's a great buy for a phone of this caliber. I won't get into the technical specs (you can review those) and all the geek stuff (there's a bunch to rave about)... but I will say this phone hit the mark with size, style, performance and function! I highly recommend it.

This phone is great, but buy the sony charger too. I really enjoy doing everything on this phone. It never crashes. Its good for playstation too! So basically it has more usable features vs. Apple iphone6 for hundreds of dollars less. The camera takes quite sharp pics. Video is SHARP. Battery life is days. I bought the phone unlocked from best buy, they had the best price too. I would definitely do it all over again. Congratulations Sony, you are back in the "game" . I had ordered and received another phone but read an excellent review of this phone, so best buy let me return that phone, I never opened the box. Thanks best buy, your service was excellent.
