It delivers clear audio and looks awesome. My only complaints are that it should have a handle with wheels for easier transport and a larger phone slot, the current one only fits your phone if the case is off. Otherwise, it would have been a solid 5 stars!

All around great large portable speaker

Battery lasts a long time and not too heavy to move around. Sound is good and has many options to customize it. Also like that it has mic inputs and controls. Lights are a bonus and they have several settings to set the mood.

Great audio and great battery

Used it for many outdoor bonfires not as loud as originally hoped but battery lasts all night and makes up for it especially with the sound quality.

While it might not be as loud as you initially expected, the sound quality and endurance certainly seem to make it a hit. The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet. The XV500 features 3 sound effects depending on your needs (STAMINA, MEGA BASS, and LIVE SOUND). Enjoy your nights out and thanks for choosing Sony. -Jess

Perfect bang for the buck

You don't have to download the Sony app to use it, just connect it to your phone or whatever you want with Bluetooth. You can tweak the EQ with the app if you'd like. Tons of sound, Sony quality is right where you want it to be for the money. I considered a bunch of the JBL ones before ultimately deciding on this. I don't regret it.
