I’ve used it inside where it fills up my house completely, and outside where I still haven't had to max out the volume. When it synchronizes with the other Sony speakers, it becomes very jumpy and the song stops and starts quite frequently. The apps Sony makes you have to connect it doesn’t seem to work too well either. Overall, the speaker itself is great if you’re connected to it, but the app and connections can be spotty.

It is loud and has very clear and crisp vocals but my inly gripe is its lack of that deep base rumble that I was hoping for. It does have a bass bost option but it kinda muffels the sound to give it that bass. But not that hard hitting party speaker bass I was looking for but it was on sale for a steal so I am happy.

Regarding the bass response, we’d love to help you get that "party-ready" punch you were expecting. The XV800 is equipped with dual X-Balanced Speaker Units designed for deep, powerful lows, but sometimes the "MEGA BASS" mode needs to be toggled on to really feel it. You can activate this by tapping the "MEGA BASS" button on the top touch panel or by using the Sony | Music Center app. Additionally, if the high frequencies feel a bit dominant, the app allows you to customize the EQ settings to perfectly balance the treble and bass to your personal taste.

This speaker sounds AMAZING! If you are looking for super crisp sound with amazing bass, this speaker is for you. I compared to the competition, and this speaker's sound quality is way better! Definitely recommend. Bluetooth range is average.

Its a pretty good speaker. Volume goes down a little while you use the built-in battery but its loud enough for party's and it helps for the 20 hours battery life. Its worth the money
