Great speaker for home, travel or just relaxing by the pool. Bought one about 18 months ago and the sound quality is still great, so when my son’s speaker went out I bought him one as well and he loves it. It can be paired to multiple devices, the battery lasts several hours and I definitely recommend.

Love this speaker. This is my second one. It has a full, rich sound, and it's 360 degree sound. You can also connect up to 100 together, and it's waterproof. Also, you can control the color display with an app on your phone. I would highly recommend it!

The Soundcore Bluetooth speaker is a really nice portable speaker. It connects via Bluetooth quite easily. The sound quality is very good. The bass is impressive and sound quality is clear. Very happy with the speaker.. The unit is sleek looking and has a series of lights along the 2 rings (one on top and one on the bottom) that 'dance' to the sounds. You can switch light patterns through the app or on the unit itself. My unit is black in color. There is an app for which there are basic controls including light controls . Build quality is very good. Control buttons are on the top of the unit. The speaker charges by USB and gives a 12 hour operation time frame. I do wish that could be longer, but with the light rings I fully understand. The speaker is waterproof. It is voice assistant capable. As with all of these types of speakers you can answer the phone through the speaker. Not a big thing for me, but may be important for others. This speaker is clearly a winner and anyone buying it will surely agree.

We have a different bluetooth speaker which sounds okay. I was expecting this one to be mediocre. I was pleasantly surprised. THE GOOD ~The sound is very robust--especially with the bass boost ~ Volume gets loud ~ Cool lights ~ Waterproof (I didn't actually test this part, but it has rubber seals so I will take their word for it) ~ Easy to pair with phone ~ Easy to use controls ~ USB-C ~ Good distance capability with bluetooth THE BAD ~ I can't think of anything THE MEH! (Could go either way) ~ I can't think of anything here either OVERALL When I first got this, I was excited. Even the box it comes in looks cool. Their marketing and design division did a great job. The first thing I checked was the charging port. Everybody is going to USB-C, but there are still a lot of companies out there using Micro USB. Fortunately Soundcore went with the former. I turned it on and It was already 60% charged. So, I plugged it in and easily paired it with my phone to play some tunes. I listen to almost every type of music from Classical to rap. As soon as the first sounds came out, I was surprised at the richness of the sound. A lot of BT speakers I have heard have been tinny like old AM radios. That is not the case here. From soft rock to rap to punk rock, the sounds were very good. There is a dedicated button to change the light colors ringing to top and bottom of the speaker. You can set different colors or patterns. As such, you can really make this a part of the room or make it stand out as a centerpiece at a small gathering. When my wife came home, I turned it on for her. The first thing she said was, "Wow, that looks cool." I put on a song. She said, "Wow. That sounds *really* good." So, clearly, it *wowed* her too. LOL If you're looking for a good Christmas gift for someone who likes music, I would definitely suggest this one. It would be great in a kid's room, an office, a living room, or on a camping trip. I love it. PS: Please ignore my nasty mantle ;)

Nice sounding Bluetooth speaker with lights

What I like: It's easy to set up as you turn it on and then pair it to your phone. It's waterproof which makes it great to use outside. For how small it is you do get a nice sound out of it too. The app is also easy to set up so you can control the sound and lights, and even though it asks you to login you can skip and use it. I didn't get to try the party mode where you connect multiple speakers, but if you are trying to play on more than one speaker it would be good. What I don't like: The lights didn't sync well to the music, and mostly just annoyed me. Luckily you can turn them off either by pressing the control or by using the app. The app works but doesn't do much outside of the lights and equalizer. I also would have liked to have an option to connect to wifi, to make it a smart speaker; this is a personal preference, but it's the reason I won't use this much compared to other smart speakers. Overall: Good Bluetooth speaker with lights, but nothing special.

Really good size speaker that fits in most cupholders. The waterproof is really handy because that makes it great for boating/kayaking/pool/etc It was very easy to set up and the potential to pair more devices (up to 100) is very appealing to large hangouts. Sound is great, even when maxed, doesn't get clippy. The kids love the ability to change the colours. makes for a fun accessory in the playroom I would like to get a couple more to be able to daisy chain. I've seen videos online of people linking 100 together, but i think 2 or 3 more would be fine.

I bought this for a beach trip and wasnt disappointed. Sound quality was really good. Id say on par with my sennheiser head phones. Has as much bass as you would expect out of a small speaker but the bass boost gives it a moderate boost without distortion. Sand and water didnt bother it. Battery life was also good. 50% volume with the leda on i got three full afternoons of use without needing to recharge. I only got one so i dont know how linking multiple speakers together sounds but i will eventually get some more. I bought this becaue the sonos i bought is a pain to use. One last thing. Range is like 30 ft max. Keeping my phone in direct line of sight made a difference but i kept it close for best use.

    Nice small Bluetooth Speaker!

The Soundcore Flare 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a nice little speaker with impressive sound for a speaker in this size range and at this price point! The speaker is 6 & 3/8" tall x 3 & 1/2'' diameter at the widest point, but for a small sized portable speaker it has a nice sound. I tested it by listening to a variety of genres, loud and soft, heavy bass, male and female singers, etc. I found the sound to be better than the sound on similar sized speakers in this price range. It has a bass boost button on the speaker, which can also be activated on the App. It definitely makes a noticeable difference when you switch on the bass boost. It's not going to give you the kind of bass punch you get on a speaker of a much larger size, but I was impressed with the amount of bass for a smaller speaker. The 360 degree sound is really nice also, as it sounds the same from all directions. Other features include dual beat-driven colored light rings with 6 different settings for different light shows, or you can turn off the lights if you don't want them on. This will be a nice feature for a party. It is also fully waterproof, so can be used outside without fear of rain. I plan to use this speaker in a golf cart while golfing. So, while it was playing, I tested it out by shaking it, tapping on it and rolling it back and forth on a table. the sound never changed and it caused no problems. It is a durable speaker with no buttons or anything that stick out, so it will be perfect for my golf cart, or anywhere else I want to use it. This speaker has a 12 hour playback time. It also lets you link up to 100 of the Flare 2 speakers. I've only got the one, but I can imagine if you had several of them that you could really create a nice sound throughout a large room or area. At this price point, I may have to pick up at least one more. There is a very useful Soundcore App that you can download to use with the speaker. You can just connect directly to your phone with Bluetooth, without the App, but the App has some nice features. It will let you download and update the firmware on the speaker as updates or fixes come out. While you can control most features with imbedded buttons on the speaker itself, you can also control all of those functions on the App, such as volume, play/pause, power, see the remaining battery life, choose the light show you want or turn the lights on or off. One of the features I like best on the App that you can't control from the speaker is the equalizer. It comes on a default setting which sounds good for any type of general use, but the equalizer on the App allows you to choose between several preset equalizer settings as well as creating your own custom setting to enhance whatever you are listening to. I really like the custom equalizer setting, as I have been able to play with it and create a custom setting to listen to music the way I like it best, with heavier bass and treble and lower midranges. Overall, this is really a nice little portable speaker with impressive sound for its size and a useful App to go with it. I would definitely recommend it!

I am thoroughly enjoying this speaker. I placed the speaker into pairing mode and it was quickly paired with my iPad. It could not have been easier. There is an APP for both IOS or Android. The APP give you access to additional features, I especially like the equalizer. There are presets and you can create your own settings if desired.I created my own with some extra high frequency added. The APP also gives you access to several light effects or turn the lights off. The APP also provides volume control. I only have one Flare 2 but you can link many of them together if desired in what they call PartyCast mode. I can go from Sinatra standards to Latin Jazz with full rich sound and I can add a little more bass with a push of a button on the unit itself. The 360 degree sound is very different from the directional sound from my other Bluetooth speakers. I didn't know I needed this until this speaker came along! It fills the room and looks good in its black material and its accent lighting as it does it. It is claimed it is waterproof should there be rain on your party, this I have not verified. While paired with my iPad I can summon SIRI with the push of a button on the speaker. That is very convenient. I have also paired the speaker with my Echo dot for a more full sound while streaming. This is a quality speaker with some unique functionality. It is now my goto speaker.

    Not a bad little speaker

The build quality of the Soundcore Flare 2 is actually quite good for its price point. The charging is done via USB type C which is a plus. The most intriguing part of the Flare 2 was the 360 sound. The sound did give off the slightest feeling of immersive sound. It wasn't anywhere near of what you would get with two separate speakers of a surround sound setup, but once again, for a little portable speaker, not bad. The bass was actually pretty good, which is not something I usually say for portable speakers of any kind. The RGB lights do pulse to the beat of the song that you're listening to. It's great for parties, but pretty pointless in the daylight. There's an app you can download and pair with the speaker. The app has an equalizer feature which is great; especially if you're really picky about how you want the sound to be delivered. Now fo the IPX7 water test. I decided to do the unthinkable and fully submerge it in my tub to see if it survives. Verdict, it did. All in all, it's a nice little speaker with lights, and it's waterproof... how do I use it? As my shower speaker.

    Versatile and Stylish Portable Speaker

The Soundcore Flare 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a nice portable speaker for your Bluetooth enabled device. It is small and lightweight to take on the go but also looks stylish to have as a lone speaker in any room in the house. Connectivity to your Bluetooth device is easy. I was able to instantly connect it to my iPhone with no difficulty. I just turned the speaker on, opened my Bluetooth app, and hit connect. It was literally that easy. The design of the speaker is very friendly. There buttons are made smooth into the top of the device. Buttons allow you to turn on/off the speaker, control the volume up or down, and another button to shuffle through the various light options for the device. As far as the sound goes, I was very impressed with the 20W speaker. It packs a good little punch and didn’t distort at the louder settings. The bass response was very good as well. I used it in my bedroom as well as the living room to play music and it sounded great. But that doesn’t mean it is restricted to indoor use. This speaker is waterproof so it can go near a pool. I used it on the playground while shooting hoops and it worked perfectly. The speaker also has some additional functionality. There is a built-in speaker and microphone. If you wanted to use it for a business conference call, it works well. And with the 360-degree speaker, you can hear the speaker regardless of where a person is seated. There is a companion app which can be used with the speaker. It allows you to change up light setting and other features. It works very well with the speaker. In conclusion, I was very impressed with he Soundcore Flare 2 Portable Speaker. Whether on the run, at home, or even the home office, the speaker works great for your needs. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a nice sounding and stylish looking Bluetooth speaker.

    Outperforms its cost

There are plenty of Bluetooth speakers out there, and for the most part, there are greatly indistinguishable. The Flare 2 has a few unique features which set it apart. It’s definitely flashy. Both the top and bottom rings can pulse with your music for a mini light show. There are several switchable variations including off. It’s waterproof making it good for outdoor and pool use. And, up to 100 of these guys can be synced to play in unison. Soundcore is a division of Anker which is best known for its quality chargers and power banks. This speaker follows that standard with a good, solid build quality. The sound is not that of the big-name products that cost five to ten times as much, but it’s pretty decent and can play at a high volume with minimal distortion. It pairs easily, and there’s a bass boost mode which most will probably leave turned on. There are buttons on the top for power, volume, light control, and “multi-function” (play/pause, track advance, and phone answer/end). The side has the bass boost and Bluetooth control. Under a watertight flap, you’ll find the USB C charger port. A cable is supplied, but you need to provide your power source … maybe an Anker charger? Soundcore has an app that you don’t need for everyday use. It offers is equalization, light mode control, and firmware updates. Depending on the sound features your mobile device offers, it may or may not be something you wish to keep on your phone. This speaker exceeded my expectations. At the regular price, it’s a good deal, but on sale, it’s a super bargain. It performs well above its price, and your kids will love the lights. Maybe you as well.

I just got my Soundform Flare 2 Bluetooth speaker and I love it! What a cool little speaker. Where to start….how about the design and look. The vibrant LED rings at the top and bottom of the device are gorgeous. You can have several different light patterns to fit your mood; I have mine set to solid blue that’s slowly pulsing at the moment. There are some cool looking options to have it flash along with your music as well. It feels well built. I know Anker has a solid reputation for quality though this is my first Anker product. Now to the meat of the review, how does it sound? Pretty dang good I must say. Now it’s a single small speaker, it can’t compete with my main sound system. But for a single, small speaker it’s fantastic in my opinion. Put it in the middle of a room and it really does a good job of filling that room with music. It’s immersive 360 degree sound is impressive. Bass response is really solid too for such a little thing. I’ve had a few wireless speakers in my day and this one is the best sounding. It also seems to be decent on battery life. It claims to have a 12 hours charge and that feels about right. Living next to a river as I do, I love that it’s water proof. Once the weather warms back up it will be down there testing that capacity to the max. I like the feature of being able to link multiple speakers together. Though I only have 1 I may get another one or two at some point in the future. All in all this is a great device. Well built, looks cool and most importantly it sounds great. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Since I already own the original Soundcore Flare Portable Bluetooth Speaker, I was really interested in getting this one to do a comparison. Right out of the box I plugged the speaker in to begin charging. You’re going to want to install the Soundcore App on your mobile device, and pair the Flare 2. With the app, you are able to adjust the volume, turn off the speaker, and customize the light effects and light modes. My favorite light effects are ‘Phasing Beats’ and ‘Bouncing Beats.’ With the EQ control, you can choose which light mode you want, and add extra bass. There are also convenient controls on the top of the speaker itself. Several features of this Anker Soundcore Flare 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker worth showcasing are: 360 degree directional sound, which you can definitely hear Waterproof - great for use around the pool, by the tub or in the shower Light ring on the bottom and top of the speaker this time The “textile material” covering the speaker looks expensive and feels nice to the touch Supposedly you can connect up to 100 of these Flare 2 Bluetooth speakers together, if that is something you’d want to do, and can afford it. Is there a noticeable difference when comparing the original Soundcore Flare to this Flare 2 version? Yes. And the price for this newer model is right, too.

    Big Sound, Small Size

This is a great sounding bluetooth speaker in a rather small size. The 360 sound is a nice feature to have, if you have it outside you can hear from from all sides. There is a good bass sound, too, sort of amazing for such a small speaker. The other feature most important to me is water protection. This can be submerged in water and be fine. The perfect outdoor speaker for the pool. The lights are nice, but at night can be a little distracting, but they can be customized to be more relaxing. There is also an EQ for changing sound settings, but I’ve found the default settings to be fine for my needs. It charges over USB-C, which is nice as I have most of my other devices with USB-C connectors. And, it charges rather fast, around 3-4 hours for a full charge. I’m managing to get around 12 hours out of a charge. I only have one of these, but you can pair multiples to sync lighting and sound. This seems like a cool feature, and these are affordable enough that I will probably get another and try that out.
