Good sound, waterproof, with a real long battery life. Have used on several float trips at a high volume for several hours and still had plenty of charge left.

I love this thing. We use it for dog training events. It carries music across a field (though not like a concert), but fun. We’ve also used it to shout or speak commands during dog training. I like that the water proof or resistance actually works. We’ve been poured on twice and have had no issues with performance from the Bluetooth or speaker. I got it on sale, so the value was PERFECT.

This speaker is amazing, uses usb C for charging, it is a power bank, fully water proof, it has a speakerphone, awesome lights show and 50 watts , comparable to the sony xb43 but better and louder and the app it uses is great too. Awesome Purchase .. awesome price..

The Anker Soundcore Rave Neo is a 50W speaker that connects wirelessly via Bluetooth, but also can be connected directly to devices as well using cables—not included, except for the charging cable for the speaker. It’s waterproof, IPX7, so it can safely be used by the pool or other water, or even when raining, and it’ll be fine. I wasn’t expecting the size of this speaker, which is about the size of a small space heater (11 inches in height) and about that weight (7.7lbs). When I think of portable, I think of something about a third that size, but this isn’t something you hang on your belt or put in a purse. It is portable in the sense that it has a built-in handle for carrying it easily along with you and it’s not too big or heavy at all. It seems really well-made and like it will last a while. There’s a place on the back where you can remove a cover for additional ports, including the USB-C charging port for the speaker, but I think that would need to be covered to remain truly waterproof, I didn’t see anything that specifically mentions this. There are buttons on top so you can manually operate the speaker, but there is a Soundcore app for additional features. One of these is PartyCast; you can switch speakers with the app, but also connect compatible speakers, like the Flare 2 (which is a good option if you want something smaller). You can link up to 100 speakers through one device. Other features through the app are the different light patterns and the EQ presets, or customizing EQ for your preference. You do have to set up a profile and log into the app to save your customization, but that’s pretty standard with apps anyway. The Bass Boost enhances the sound, especially when outside and it sounds the best when this is active. It has great battery life. I was able to use it for days without recharging it. The lighting is a really cool affect as it follows along with the music and can be changed to other patterns. I can’t wait to try it with another speaker that can match the lights, especially outside at night. This will be a great speaker for parties or other get togethers, and I’m really impressed by the sound quality. The sound is rich and detailed, especially for a portable speaker. I also like that it matches my other speakers. There isn’t anything that I didn’t like about this speaker; even the price is reasonable for the quality of this speaker.

This speaker has a good sound specially for how small it is. I think it might be better than the JBL extreme.

The Soundcore - Rave Neo Bluetooth Speaker - Black is small but mighty compared to similar outdoor Bluetooth speakers. Made for portability, this waterproof speaker doesn't disappoint. LED light effects make it fun for spontaneous dance parties or mood lighting. I found this speaker to be very surprising. I honestly did not expect much from it as I have tested several of these from several brands. I have to say WOW. It is small, portable, and have amazing control, power, and sound! Volume is more than enough for any venue. The control from the app gives you literally complete control for just about anything you want to do to EQ or change the lighting. The option to direct in or Bluetooth gives you complete flexibility for on the go. Apparently, you can tether up to 100 of these... I have no way to test this, but if you can, you could literally hold a concert with just these for sound and lights! PROS - SoundCore quality build and sound! - Small size, big sound - Amazing sound from lowest through highs. - Crisp and clear sounds - LED lighting works well in conjunction with beat of music - Waterproof - USB-C charging - Holds 18-hour play charge - Link up to 100 speaker CONS - A bit heavy compared to size Looking for an outdoor, portable speaker? I have owned and reviewed a lot of Bluetooth speakers over the years. Today’s Bluetooth speakers have many, if not more , features than the speakers of 6 years ago but at a significantly lower price. The Soundcore - Rave Neo Bluetooth Speaker holds true of that statement. At $99 you get a lot for your money – waterproof ( it is IPX7 build and can be submerged in water,) decent build quality, high power, strong bass, linkable to other Soundcore speakers, LED lights ( which I hate on all speakers,) external USB device charging and connection to a USB storage device. Frankly, it is ridiculous how much you get for our money. Let’s take look at the pros and cons : Pros - The sound is very powerful and relatively clear. It is not as good as some of the big boys but I think you would have to spend twice the amount. The battery life is crazy. It is rated at 18 hours but I have been using is every day for over a week. I am at about 8 hours of use and the battery indicator is at 75 percent. I’m not running it at full blast and I am confident I will hit well over 18 hours of use. Easy carry handle. Only $99 . Use it like a power bank - charge up your phone. Soundcore is actually Anker, one of the biggest names for years in the power bank arena. Cons – Heavy – well, it is brick. Actually an extra large brick. Not that you are going to move it around much, but it does weigh 7 lbs. That is what happens when you put a huge battery in it. The handle connections are cheap plastic, I can see it breaking and no easy way to repair. The LED lights. I’ve said it before, people do not care about LED lights. Yes, young people may be enamored by it for a few minutes but the money is better spent in making speakers more durable. As you can see, there are not any significant cons. It may not be the best in the individual categories for rating a Bluetooth speaker but it does just about everything well. The Soundcore - Rave Neo is a fantastic deal at $99 that offers lot of sound for little money. Recommend.
