In the box is the speaker, usb-b to usb-c cord, quick start guide and user manual. Out of the box, I first noticed the speaker is a little heavier than what I am accustomed to with portable speakers. There is a beautiful braided handle and lighted buttons on the top. When you press and hold the power button, you will notice four little dots which is the battery indicator. When I turned on the speaker out of the box, three of the four dots were highlighted, which should be should be about 75% of the battery. Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze, press and hold the bluetooth symbol button and listen for the connecting chime and connect on your playing device. I found that it was a little difficult to switch between listening devices but it was manageable. Battery life is superior! I have teenagers that are home and listen to music constantly and are still using the battery charge from opening the box and that’s with the volume at the full volume. I normally charge at night, so I wouldn’t know how long it actually takes to charge the battery but I do know it lasts forever. Sound with the lighting is the BEST part of this speaker. I own a ton of different types of speakers, from small to midsize to a shelf system and I am highly impressed. When first connecting, the sound is automatically turned down and you can turn the volume up with your listening device or the speaker with the plus and minus button. If you live in an apartment, try not to put on the floor or turn the bass down because it will definitely thud on the floor or if you have thin walls, the sound will carry to the next room. There is a party mode where you can add more speakers; I can see someone using this for a large space like a hotel meeting room or a rec room. The sound will definitely carry throughout. Overall, this speaker is amazing and I will HIGHLY recommend this product to friends and family.

This is a solid built Speaker. Has nice amount of weight especially when using outdoors where there may be a strong breeze. The carry strap is made of a nice thick cloth feel material. Sound is impressive. I downloaded the Soundcore app which allows control of the lights, preset or custom EQ's, volume and bass boost as well as DJ adds to the music. The app worked great except the custom EQ sliders seemed to struggle when sliding to the desired position. the speaker will link to 100+ additional speakers for a trully full light show experience and is fully water submersible just in case it falls into the pool or the onset of a rain storm. Has USB C and A connections and aux. I do find myself adding bass to the presets or when customizing because to me the sound is thin without it. Has a very powerfull boost and volumn will easily fill a general area of space. The unit paired easily with my first phone, However, I had trouble pairing to another phone even though the bluetooth was turned off on the first phone. It took several attempts because the Rave kept looking for the first device but it did eventually pair. This could be me not grasping something in the design, not sure. So far the battery life is decent, still working off the first charge and there are 4 indicators around the power button to let you know how much charge is available. Over all the perfect portable entertainment speaker!

The Soundcore is great travel speaker. The handle makes it easy to carry. You can take it just about anywhere. It gets pretty loud, but the sound can be a bit distorted. It’s not a deal breaker, but that’s something I noticed. It has pretty good base for a speaker its size. The lights can be adjusted using the speaker itself or the app. After downloading the app I was not able to create an account. It keeps taking me to an Error 404 page when I try to click the link in my Email for verification. I was still able to use the app without creating an account. With the app you can choose from custom sound and light settings, or adjust settings to your liking. Overall it’s a good speaker to take with on the go to the beach or picnics.

Pros: -Loud when you want it to be -Bass -Portable while still being larger (than typical Bluetooth speakers) -Customizable speaker light -Linkable to 100+ speakers (must be same brand/model series) -Carrying handle Cons: -I have had more crisp sound -I had to redo the app sign up (account) multiple times This speaker is great for around the house and parties. It focuses on providing a great sound and being loud when you need it. The light circle around the main speaker is awesome you can make it change into multiple different colors. You can also make it focus on different styles of colors like more reds and oranges or blue and greens, etc. There is a bass button which I recommend leaving on at all times. As soon as you turn the bass switch off the sound is flat. The bass does adjust with lowering and increasing your volume so it wont be rocking if you need it to play. I really recommend leaving bass on or you wont have the same experience. The quality is good but I have bluetooth speakers from high end brands that are super crisp. I played the Rave Neo and my other high end brand and I could easily tell a difference in quality but the Rave Neo is still good. I cant wait for the summer by the pool as this speaker is completely water proof and will sound great nearby rather than the outdoor speakers that are a little bit farther from the pool. -

This Soundcore speaker is a decent one at it's price point. I own another Soundcore speaker and this new one lives up to the standard set by that year old mode. The sound is above average for a speaker in this price range. Fair warning though, leave the bass boost on if you want your tunes to sound good. With bass boost off music really sounds muted, almost cloudy. With bass boost on music sounds fuller and more vibrant. Bass is solid, mids and highs are decent. I've tried EDM, rock, and some classical music so far and all are decent sounding. Installing the companion app gives you more fine control of the LED lights, if that's your thing, as well as an above average EQ. One downside for me is that unless you log in to the app your EQ presets are not saved. Bummer. Build quality is okay. The plastic construction feels a bit cheap. There is both USB-C and USB-A. You'll use the C port for charging both the speaker or to use as a portable charging bank for your phone. So far I've used the A port to connect a thumb drive to play some MP3's locally. The Bluetooth connection is solid. Overall, if you're in the market for a decent party speaker, or want to annoy neighbors three houses down from you, then this is a good choice.

Soundcore - Rave Neo Bluetooth Speaker is amazing. The bass response is very good. I was floored by the bass. The acoustic highs were okay. I think that would be my only con but it still sounds good. The companion app is nice. Lets you control LED lights. And change EQ settings to your taste. Has a very good battery life as well. It's waterproof but hey not trying to find out how true that is.

If you are an audiophile who loves and appreciates “Big Sound” then this masterpiece must be added to your collection! This speaker is great if you enjoy outdoor parties, swimming pool gatherings, picnics, or just easy home listening! The sound produced from this speaker is good—really good as it puts out 50 watts! This speaker has party cast, as Anker claims you can link up to 100 plus devices; needless to say, I do not have 100 plus Bluetooth speakers, but I do have several, and out of curiosity, I hooked up 3 speakers and the result was great sound that was pretty consistent. Another attraction is the beautiful lighting that this speaker produces. I find myself in awe of the beautiful strobe lights that accompany this speaker as they can take lead and bring any party or event to life!! The battery life is great on this speaker. Anker claims 18 hours. I have listened to it for the last couple of days and thus far, I have not charged it. Overall, if you are in need of a Bluetooth speaker that produces robust results, then Anker has answered your call on this one!!

Out of the hundreds of Bluetooth speakers out there, this one stands above. C-19 has put a damper on parties currently, but trust me, you want this. Great for outdoor settings. The flashing color display sets it apart from other speakers. It's heavy, on the order of 7-8 pounds, not some lightweight, can barely make noise speaker. The bass function is good as well. The sound fills a small yard well, though it's not top notch audiophile quality. But that's not what this is meant for. It's a good quality, well built bluetooth speaker, that can also be wirelessly chained with other speakers for more sound. Kick up your gatherings, enjoy some tunes while working on a vehicle, take it to the lake/beach. Definitely recommend it.

This unit is very well made with clear and intuitive controls and an excellent carry handle. It pairs super fast with phone, PC or TV. Sound is beautiful. I did not notice much difference when ‘Bass’ button is on or off, so it may need a lot of bass in the source to make that feature significant. Simple to switch attractive light patterns on/off and also can just have lights without sound, which is useful for trying to get to sleep – so that’s a rewarding extra feature, at least for some folks. You can use it without Bluetooth with direct wire. I was impressed with this unit, there is no loose vibration sounds, it is crisp and clear and I would definitely recommend it. Great design: both attractive and super sound, nice job by the engineers. I gave it pride of place among my PC speakers.

It needs to be louder. The little old boom I have is as loud as this here.
