This movie is a little sad but has some great moments. Language is pretty strong if you know what I mean. The digital copy was not included in the movie I purchased even though it said it was.

This is a really good movie, great if you categorize it as a sports movie. What makes this movie so good is the acting by Jake Gyllenhaal. You will not be disappointed if you see this film.

This movie was really good and heartwrenching. You are rooting for this guy and can almost feel the loss & struggle of the character. Plus, Eminem makes it have a wonderful soundtrack.

Hero rises, then declines and rises again. A must see film that breaks away from the Rocky theme. It shows how a street kid rises to greatness but still battles with anger and self destruction. Only to defeat the villain in the movie.

This movie is about being motivated to overcome the horrific challenges of life and to be an inspiration for ourselves and our family. Love the soundtrack that supports this movie.

This movie was better than I had anticipated. Gyllenhaal gives what I believe has been his best performance to date. This is a great movie for any collection. I don't even like boxing, yet I was gripped by this story. Worth the buy.

This movie is outstanding. The characters are complex, the story is riveting, and the pacing, cinematography and feel of the movie is great. Highly recommend if you love this genre.

I grew up with the Rocky movies, SOUTHPAW is def' the "Rocky" movie of the current time it was fantastic. Inspired me to never give up and to get off my butt and GO FOR IT!

Although I don't enjoy Rip-Hop culture this film went beyond & went to the core of the human experience. Jake seems to only pick projects to push the limits of expectation.

I'm not a big fan of Boxing movies but this one just was one on the likes of Rocky. I did enjoy this much more than I thought I would, some very good acting and good story line.

If you love boxing movies, this one is worth adding to the collection. It's a gritty look at Billy Hope and his rise, fall and comeback while fighting for his daughter's love.

Always great watching Jake tackle each of his characters with such realism. Whether a real person or just a fictional character in a film, he makes them come to life with each minute that passes. Fantastic film to see!

I waited a while to buy this movie hoping it would go down in price and Best Buy met my needs. The movie itself is underrated, and very good. Jake Gyllenhaal delivers.

Thought it would've bin some cliche type of boxing movie but from the first till the last scene is off the hook ( meaning spectacular ). Definitely deserves to be nominated

I was not expecting much and only bought it to take advantage of the holiday sale but glad I did. This movie was a little bit better than Creed to me, mainly due to the lead whose role was more believable as a boxer.

This movie was a rollercoaster with lot's of emotions but WORTH THE PURCHASE! Jake Gyllenhaal was SUPERB I rated this 5 Stars!! Buy It and ADD it to your movie collection.

I enjoyed the movie so much that I had multiple movie night with different set of friends so that they could see what I saw.

The movie really got to me and sucked me in. It's one that I will recommend and watch again. Jake Gyllenhaal is an actor my husband and I both love and we weren't disappointed by his performance in this movie.

I would say that this movie is closer in style to Raging Bull and The Fighter than The Rocky series with a outstanding performance by Jake Gyllenhaal. Recommended
