I did not expect a whole lot from this movie. I figured it was a standard sports movie. It was anything but that. Had a great story line, and the acting was great.

This movie is a good time, really pulls at the heartstrings and has excellent fighting scenes. However, if you've seen any boxing movie, you'all begin to see similarities. Even still, definitely check it out.

I liked this movie a lot. It was very entertaining and definitely the perfect down and out comeback movie. Perfect acting and had me on the edge of my seat near the end.

I'm confused by some of the cueing in this movie and the unresolved issues leave this movie feeling incomplete. The conflict was presented well and Hope's evolution, but the end result felt unfinished. This film had me engrossed until the final act where there were too many storylines that needed attention but weren't addressed properly. The director appeared to just throw together a resolution and abandoned even hinting at the background drama that was the depth in this film. If the director carried the depth in the opening act through the final scene this would have been a great film, instead it is just okay.

So many things just worked on this film but Jake G. and Forest W. kill it. It's a grittier film than Creed so give it a go if you're a fan of the redemption storyline.

Great movie, really hectic and fast paced and nice steelbook not as artful as the best buy exlcusives but a great pick up nonetheless for any avid steelbook collector.

Greatly acted by all! This movie hooked me from the beginning and made me want to keep watching. Definitely a solid movie that you won't be disappointed with.

Don't pay attention to the reviews. Yea it is a predictable film but it's a great film nonetheless. Gyllenhaal is fantastic as always and the whole film is just great.

Its a shame some movies don't seem to get a lot of attention. Im not into boxing at all but this was a really good movie. Jake Gyllenhaals performace was incredible.

I heard good things about this movie, but didn't expect too much from. Glad I picked it up as stated it was better than expected. Really thought it was a good movie.

This steelbook is a great one for the price. Have not got to watch the movie yet but have heard great things about it. It is worth checking out for the price.

Never read any of the reviews nor anything about the movie. It was a good movie to keep your attention but was predictable. I still recommend to pick it up, especially if you get it for $10 or less.

The movie is great. It's actually inspiring to all sports movie fanatics, plus there is romance in between the movie. I could watch it over and over again.

If you like rocky then you will like south paw. Basically an reverse starts off high then gets beaten down and has to work his way back up great underdog film.

Movie was intense from the beginning. It was a great movie and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a movie that leaves you in the edge of your seat

I love movies like Southpaw. One man can have everything and then be pulled from you in a matter of seconds. Such a great movie. Very touching and eye opening!

Actors are great. The struggle is real and portrayed well in this movie. Only down fall is that I paid extra but it was missing the vudu code for digital copy.

I am already a fan of Jake so this was an easy film to get interested in. Being a single dad, his struggle to win his daughter back was very powerful.

Follows a similar formula from other movies such as Warrior but is still unique and amazing in it's own way. Emotional and powerful movie. Highly recommended.
